Hearing his analysis, everyone nodded, thinking it made sense.
"Why are they all seafood cards?"
Ree Shil’s focus was a bit different.
If he had a spell card called [Sea Witch’s Skull] in his hand at this mont, he would have easily dominated the opponent.
Moreover, they were all ocean cards with the [Poisoned] effect. He had a feeling that the Instance that produced these cards must be a poisonous ocean.
Despite his complaint, he revealed the next line card on his left.
[Assemble and Stand at Attention!]
A humanoid projection wearing armor and having a cat’s head and dog’s head walked out of the card in a steady gait.
"Uh, why are they all summoning cards?"
Photon imdiately shot back.
After unveiling the cards, both sides quickly entered the Action Phase.
Photon’s side:
The[Deford Octopus]was affected by the[Fear]effect and went into[Defense].
The[Strange Swordfish]launched a skill attack on the[Comical Turtle], dealing 35 points of damage and taking it out.
It also caused 30 points of damage to the card behind the[Comical Turtle].
(Note: The explosion of[Poisoned]is additional damage and does not count as[Penetration].)
Ree Shil’s side:
The[Witty Egg]summoned the[Double-headed Captain]in front of it.
The[Wild Fat Cat]continued to[remain still].
The[Double-headed Captain]attacked the[Strange Swordfish], dealing 30 points of damage.
At the end of the round, both sides’ cards were as follows:
[Dirty Sea]
points, remaining 6 cards with 180 points
[Set card] [Set card][Swordfish 70]0/3
[Deford Octopus] [Octopus 130] [Empty Slot]
VS
[Witty Egg] [Fat Cat 70] 3/3 [Empty Slot]
[Double Head] [Set card][Set card -30]
points, remaining 6 cards with 160 points
[Big Fish Storm] (2/4, 2/3)
This ti, the Void Comntator didn’t even have to show up; people outside the Blue Light Barrier had already started discussing the situation among themselves.
"The human lad is in a bad situation."
"That’s right, the[Deford Octopus] will be free next round."
"This guy still has 130 health points, it won’t be easy to deal with him."
"I disagree with your view. He only has 1 regular card left in his headline district. What’s there to fear about an AOE attack to the whole line?"
"You have a point there."
"Let’s see what cards these two will reveal in the next round."
Under their discussion, Photon took the lead by revealing his card.
[Heh heh heh~]
A large snail projection slowly erged from the card’s light column.
Its shell was unique, with chaotic black and white patterns.
And its body was a dazzling, bright sea blue.
As is well known, the more vibrant the color of so species in nature, the more dangerous they could be.
[Sea Blue Snail]
Determination, 30 points, B
Atk 30, 100/100, 0/4
[Highly Toxic Shell - passive]: For each attack on the Sea Blue Snail, the target gains 10 points of[Poisoned]effect.
[Natural Protection - passive]: If there’s[Poisoned]effect on the field, the Sea Blue Snail gains a 20-point[Shield]in the next round.
[Potential Unleashing - 2 Energy Points]: The Sea Blue Snail goes into[Defense], and the[Highly Toxic Shell’s][Poisoned]effect doubles.
This was a Hedgehog Card, and a Hedgehog Card with strong survivability at that.
Especially the active skill, which could make the opponent hesitate in most situations.
So Ree Shil had reason to speculate that the opponent’s King Card was in the middle column.
As for the card he revealed, it was a summoning card that had never been used before.
[Roar!]
Along with the unveiling of the card, a blurry Zombie Beast projection limped out of the light column.
[Ancient City Zombie King]
Listening to the Wind, 20 points, A
Atk 30, 100/100, 0/4
[Ability User - Passive]: Ancient City Zombie King’s Score -10
[Unwilling to Move - Passive]: Ancient City Zombie King recovers 1 extra energy point when standing still
[King’s Dignity - Passive]: The round when Ancient City Zombie King is revealed, grant adjacent cards in front of him a 1-round[Coating]
[Zombie Beast Guard - 3 Energy Points]: Ancient City Zombie King roars, summoning 2[Zombie Beast Guards]in the nearest card position
([Coating]: Immune to all debuffs)
[Zombie Beast Guard]
Balanced, 5 points, E
Atk 5, 15/15
Void Comntator: "Wow! An A-rank summoning card!"
"And it cos with[Coating], so this round, [Wild Fat Cat]isn’t afraid of the threat posed by[Deford Octopus]at all."
"That’s right, all the damage from[Deford Octopus]is[Poison], and[Coating]has no solution for it."
These words make sense, so Photon frowns.
But it is precisely because of the appearance of this card that she has already decided what card to unveil next round.
The two sides finish unveiling their cards, and the action phase arrives.
Ree Shil’s side.
[Wild Fat Cat]summons[Phantom Fat Cat], blocking[Strange Swordfish].
[Double-headed Captain]summons[Trainee Soldier], following behind[Phantom Fat Cat].
[Witty Egg]has no attack power, so it can only perform[Defense].
[Ancient City Zombie King]remains[Still].
[Phantom Fat Cat]attacks[Deford Octopus], dealing 20 points of damage.
[Trainee Soldier]attacks[Deford Octopus], dealing 5 points of damage.
[Big Fish Storm]deals an attack on two adjacent card positions, dealing 40 points of damage on[Deford Octopus].
[Double-headed Captain]gains a 5-point[Recovery]due to[Trainee Soldier]’s attack.
Photon’s side.
[Deford Octopus]attacks[Witty Egg], taking it away.
[Sea Blue Snail]attacks[Wild Fat Cat], dealing 30 points of damage.
[Strange Swordfish]attacks[Phantom Fat Cat], dealing 35 points of damage, taking it away with excessive damage.
And triggers[Great Sword Gun], dealing 30 points of damage on[Trainee Soldier], also taking it away with excessive damage.
At the end of the round, both sides have the following cards:
[Dirty Sea]
points, 5 cards remaining, 150 points
[Set card][Snail][Swordfish70]1/3
[Deford][Octopus65][Empty Slot]
VS
[Empty Slot][Fat Cat40]1/3[Empty Slot]
[Double Head75][Zombie King]2/4[Set card-30]
points, 5 cards remaining, 140 points
Eliminated Summoning Cards: 3
[Big Fish Storm](3/4, 0/3)
Whether it is the lost health or the lost number of cards.
Ree Shil’s cards are in a clear disadvantage.
