If Mu En was still alive, then Shrek Academy's strength was far greater than they had estimated. And for the Body Sect, this was absolutely not good news. After all, there was an unresolved grudge between Poison Must Die and Mu En.

"Senior Xiao, is this true?" Du Busi furrowed his brows, unwilling to accept this reality.

"It is absolutely true." Huo Yuhao nodded, rising from his chair, placing his hands behind his back, and pacing slowly.

"However, you need not worry. Mu En is alive, but he is far from his peak condition. His health is extrely poor, and he can only fight for a short period of ti. Every battle he engages in will inevitably accelerate his death."

Hearing this, Du Busi's tense expression finally eased. He looked at Huo Yuhao and said, "I see. Thank you, Senior Xiao, for informing us. It seems the Body Sect must heighten its vigilance toward Shrek Academy."

Huo Yuhao nodded slightly. "Indeed. I will take my leave now."

He still had to continue his training and increase his strength he couldn't afford to spend too much ti conversing at the Body Sect.

"Senior, take care." Du Busi watched as this mysterious "Senior Xiao" left.

He then imdiately dispatched personnel to the Tianhun Empire's royal palace to et with the emperor and discuss how to publicly expose Xuan Zi's misdeeds.

Tianhun Empire was not a militarily strong nation; its reliance on powerful soul masters was considerable, and it depended heavily on the Body Sect. Given this, the Tianhun Emperor agreed to assist in spreading the story and even offered so private resources to further the effort.

From the Tianhun Emperor's perspective, the Body Sect was easier to deal with than Shrek Academy.

Although the Body Sect had a reputation of being morally ambiguous, it never held as much public prestige as Shrek Academy.

Shrek, however, was a different story. It was a soul master sanctuary, a symbol of justice in the eyes of the people, even among non soul masters. Its reputation within the empire was so strong that it kept the royal family uneasy.

Even though Shrek Academy remained neutral for now, if it ever clashed with the royal family, the academy's headmaster wouldn't even need to lift a finger just one call to arms could shake the foundations of the Tianhun imperial rule.

So, when an opportunity arose to tarnish Shrek Academy's image, the Tianhun Emperor wouldn't pass it up. He wanted royal authority to surpass the academy's prestige, not be suppressed by it.

anwhile, Du Busi began selecting participants from the Body Sect for the upcoming tournant. Since sects were now allowed to compete, he saw this as a golden opportunity that the Body Sect could not afford to miss.

Shrek Academy

Wang Dong, using her looks and charm, had successfully recruited a batch of female soul masters from the academy and handed them over to Bei Bei for selection. If they could pick out the most suitable participants, the Tang Sect team's strength would increase dramatically.

Afterward, she sat down, picked up a copy of the Snow Demon Gazette, and began reading.

The Snow Demon Gazette was a newspaper published by the Snow Demon Sect in the Tianhun Empire. It was rumored that this sect was quite powerful. In an effort to expand its influence and attract talented soul masters, the sect had recently launched this newspaper.

Whether it was due to quality content or strong backing from the sect, the Snow Demon Gazette had gained popularity not only in the Tianhun Empire but also in neighboring nations, even reaching Shrek City.

In an era where soul tool technology was still in its infancy, newspapers remained a primary thod of acquiring information at least for ordinary people and lower level soul masters.

Of course, Wang Dong wasn't expecting to find any groundbreaking news. She had simply bought the paper on a whim while walking outside the academy and was now using her free ti to browse through it.

It wasn't like she lacked money, and reading the news didn't take up much ti.

Her eyes skimd over the paper as she thought about sothing else.

According to Bei Bei, who had just returned from studying in the Sun Moon Empire, the scholars at Mingde Hall believed that newspapers would eventually beco obsolete.

In the future, humans would rely on soul tools to transmit and receive information. Communication, even across vast distances, would beco instant.

"I wonder how many years it will take for soul tool technology to reach that level. But even if that kind of soul tool appears right now, I wouldn't be able to use it."

She sighed in frustration.

"Why am I the only one suffering from this weird condition where I can only use soul tools similar to what Ancestor Tang San used? So annoying!"

She took a deep breath and flipped through the pages of the newspaper.

Then, a bold headline caught her eye

"Shocking! Xuan Zi's Cris Exposed!"

"Cris? What cris?" Wang Dong frowned.

She began reading the article.

The piece condemned Xuan Zi, a self proclaid guardian of justice, for using his strength as a Rank 98 Super Douluo to attack the Sun Moon Empire's exchange students. The attack had nearly resulted in heavy casualties.

"This has to be slander. Xuan Lao can be careless sotis, but he wouldn't do sothing this low." Wang Dong was bewildered.

She couldn't reconcile the Xuan Zi she knew with the one described in the article. It felt like they were two completely different people.

After so thought, she decided to take the newspaper to Sea God's Pavilion and show it to Xuan Zi. He needed to know that even while he was in seclusion, soone was trying to ruin his na.

The Snow Demon Gazette had a large readership. If this article was widely circulated, then countless people must have seen it already.

Sea God's Pavilion

After so ti, Wang Dong arrived at the pavilion and located Xuan Zi's room.

Thanks to Mu En's favor, Wang Dong was receiving significant training resources from the academy. As a result, she had relatively free access to the pavilion, unlike most students.

Of course, the academy's investnt in her was nowhere near the level of what Bei Bei received.

Bei Bei was expected to remain with Shrek Academy for the long haul. If all went well, he was even likely to beco a future Pavilion Master.

But Wang Dong was different. She would not stay at Shrek Academy forever her future lay with the Haotian Sect, the powerful clan standing behind her.

As the sect's heir, she was expected to take over as its leader one day, rather than settling down at the academy.

Mu En raised an eyebrow and looked at Wang Dong with a smile.

"Wang Dong, you're here? If you're here to train, I can arrange a private room for you."

Although Yan Shaozhe had temporarily taken over so responsibilities, Mu En was still the one personally overseeing Xuan Zi's seclusion.

Wang Dong shook her head.

"Mu Lao, I didn't co here for training. I ca to show you this."

She handed the Snow Demon Gazette to Mu En.

Mu En skimd through the contents. After a brief mont, his eyes flashed with understanding. He turned toward a closed chamber and said in a solemn voice

"Xuan Zi, you should stop your seclusion for now. Your attack on the Sun Moon Empire's exchange students has been exposed."
