He continued typing on the computer in front of him and said, "Bringing just the body is not a problem, please wait a mont."
The clerk quickly printed a paper form and handed it to Chen Ming.
All the information Chen Ming just ntioned was recorded on it.
"Please take this to the white building next door. Soone will guide you once you’re inside."
"Alright."
As he exited the headquarters, Chen Ming suddenly noticed a sowhat familiar figure flicker past in the distance, disappearing outside the governnt complex’s gates.
Chen Ming squinted, trying to get a better look, but the figure seed to have vanished into thin air.
He furrowed his brows slightly but decided not to pay much attention, thinking he might have been mistaken.
Following the clerk’s directions from earlier, Chen Ming found the white building that resembled a laboratory.
As soon as Chen Ming entered with Old Wu, a researcher in a lab coat greeted them with a smile, saying to Chen Ming, "Hello, Mr. Mu, this is the pirate you are here to hand over, right? Would it be convenient to open it for confirmation?"
"No problem."
Chen Ming had the transport robot lay the coffins flat on the ground and pressed a corner of one of them.
The coffin lid opened automatically, revealing the corpse of the Pirate Leader, already unrecognizable as human.
Thankfully, the boss had provided tal coffins equipped with a small freezing unit to prevent decay. Otherwise, the current situation could have been much worse for Chen Ming.
Chen Ming couldn’t help but whisper to Old Wu beside him, "The boss seems pretty angry, huh."
Old Wu whispered back, "The colony was in its developnt stage, and a lot of money and connections were spent on it. Then suddenly, soone plunders the supplies, you would be angry too."
The researcher, holding a terminal, examined the corpse for a long ti before barely recognizing the contents of the coffin matched the wanted poster.
He put away the terminal and recited to Chen Ming as if following a formulaic script, "No problem, Mr. Mu, we will take the body now."
The researcher seed not overly suspicious since Chen Ming and Old Wu had registered their identities along the way, and collecting the bounty required a personal visit.
If soone tried to replace reality with a fake for the bounty, the final outco would be a prison cell.
"We will conduct a DNA verification on them and contact you once the results are out, expected within one working day."
"As long as the verification cos through, you can go to the place where you did the previous errand to collect your bounty."
"The bounty is tax-free, and if there’s any shortage when you collect it, you can directly find the relevant departnt in the building over there to complain."
After the researcher finished speaking, they imdiately summoned a humanoid transportation robot, noticeably more advanced than Chen Ming’s spider transport robot, to take away the coffins together.
Chen Ming couldn’t help but take a few extra looks at this robot, and he was rather certain that its capabilities extended beyond re transport and definitely included combat potential.
This was governnt-quality technology.
All Chen Ming could do was admire it; he couldn’t afford to entertain any special ideas.
After leaving the governnt complex, Old Wu, who had seed sowhat deflated, suddenly regained his spirit as if reborn, eagerly asking Chen Ming, "We still have a day, want to have so fun?"
Chen Ming considered Old Wu’s suggestion; it had indeed been a long ti since he had a proper break.
The idea of relaxing for a day seed appealing.
Thus, Chen Ming didn’t refuse and replied, "Alright, you pick a place."
"I’ll say then, okay."
Old Wu thought for a mont before saying, "I know of a place you might find interesting."
"What place?"
"The Black Market."

Chen Ming and Old Wu arrived near the Black Market Old Wu ntioned by bus.
Initially, Old Wu intended to take a public spaceship, but since Chen Ming wanted to see more of this snowy city, they ultimately went by bus.
Although Old Wu called it the Black Market, it wasn’t until Chen Ming arrived that he realized.
The Black Market was essentially a bustling comrcial street.
Outside, security forces without identity badges could be seen maintaining order
Inside, it was essentially like an ordinary comrcial street, but the stores were mostly large, storefront establishnts.
