In the superspace of the star system where the Pirate Space Station is located.
The Dusk Fleet’s teleportation engine activation was at its final mont, and the fleet led by Defender-class cruisers from the Sinda Corporation barely arrived.
They were unable to stop it, only watching as the Dusk Fleet departed, and shifted their focus to other parts of superspace.
After contacting the remaining corporate fleet in superspace and investigating the previous events, the cruiser captain and commander imdiately transmitted the entire situation inside the star system back to the company headquarters.
At the Sinda Corporation headquarters in the Ascension Star System.
In the top-floor eting room of the headquarters building, a eting that should have ended long ago, all the board mbers were still gathered here, waiting for the results.
On the screen in the conference room, the image of the Defender cruiser captain was displayed.
The chairman listened to the captain’s explanation of the situation in superspace, and although he felt sowhat anxious inside, he maintained a calm expression and asked the captain, "What do you an by saying a Ruler-class from the military might have been taken out by Dusk’s cruiser? I need information on Chen Ming."
The Defender captain slightly lowered his head in response to the chairman’s question and said, "According to information provided by the surviving cow herder captain, Chen Ming did indeed enter this superspace channel."
"But after our search, we only found part of the Ruler’s wreckage within the channel."
"We found no remnants of any mining ship, nor were there any traces left."
"Considering the situation when we first arrived at the target location and only saw a Dusk Fleet that was already in the final stage of teleportation."
"We can only speculate that Dusk took out the Ruler pursuing Chen Ming, but we cannot be one hundred percent certain about what happened afterward."
The chairman’s gaze lingered on the captain for a mont before saying, "Leave so ships to continue searching, and have other ships handle the rescue operations. The military will surely send ships over later; contact then."
"Yes."
The screen was turned off.
The other directors in the conference room turned their gaze back to the chairman.
The chairman cleared his throat slightly and said, "First, let’s rule out the possibility that Chen Ming was taken out by Dusk, and the entire ship was obliterated."
"Although Chen Ming’s ship was a civilian mining ship retrofitted, it’s confird that he mixed White Cloud Steel into the materials."
"This material cannot be directly annihilated even when faced with an attack from a Speed Particle Spear, so we can rule out this possibility."
A director followed the chairman’s line of thought and said, "Then there’s only one possibility left: Dusk took Chen Ming away."
Another director agreed, saying, "I think this possibility is indeed very high."
"However, whether he was captured or left on his own, there is a big difference."
"We already discussed Chen Ming’s potential before, didn’t we? He has the ability to control all ships, and Dusk Spaceships are still ships."
The directors present had already had so thoughts on this guess in their minds.
One director imdiately asked a question he had before: "But if he can already control cruiser-level ships, does he still need to return to the company, even putting himself in a dangerous position of being chased?"

And at this mont, listening to the directors’ discussion, the chairman also spoke up: "In my opinion, Chen Ming absolutely has the ability to control the Dusk AI."
"And the Dusk Fleet was summoned through the Dusk AI on the Dusk Spaceship he once controlled."

The chairman imdiately answered, "Because of Chen Ming’s ability."
"Wouldn’t Dusk be worried that Chen Ming would turn on them?"
The chairman responded promptly, "If Dusk was worried about that, it shouldn’t have appeared in the first place. Letting Chen Ming die there would be the easiest and most convenient choice for Dusk."
"Even if they were concerned about Chen Ming not dying, waiting until the military act and fail, then coming out to finish him off would be better."
"Indeed."
"I think so too."
The chairman’s statent received approval from several directors.
"So, I think it’s most likely that when Chen Ming was driven to the last by the Ruler, he chose to call for Dusk’s rescue; it’s the only unrestricted power that can support him near the Edge Star Realm."
"Wait a minute, speaking of which, it might not be just that, what about Wu An?"
The chairman’s question prompted the directors to turn their attention to the director managing the Pirate Space Station.
He shrugged and said, "I asked, and he gave a response that he knew, but I also don’t know what he ultimately did."
"Is it possible that it wasn’t Dusk but he who rescued him?"
