"If the director dies, I can easily deal with the rest of those useless guys. You don’t need to get involved personally."
"Wait a mont."
The factory manager suddenly stopped, realizing what Chen Ming had just said.
He asked uncertainly, "Did you just say you’re coming back? Back to ?"
"Yeah."
Chen Ming replied, "It’s about ti to co back, but I won’t be staying long. I should be leaving again soon."
"Heading out again? Where to?"
"I might first go see soone with the boss, then I’ll be flying straight out between Dusk and chanical Race."
"Exactly how far out will depend on how soon I can find a good star system."
"To explore?"
"No, to develop."
"A colony? Is Old Wu helping you?"
If the question had been asked earlier, the answer would have been yes.
But now, Chen Ming can fend for himself and build a colony on his own.
Of course, the boss did help, so saying it’s because of the boss wouldn’t be wrong.
So Chen Ming simply answered the factory manager’s question, "Yes."
"That must take a long ti. Are you all ready for it?"
"I started a long ti ago."
The factory manager sighed, "Ah, youth is great. You can go anywhere. But in the future, who knows when we’ll et again."
Chen Ming corrected him, "Aren’t we talking now?"
"I an in person."
"Hmm... there’s a chance for that too."
Chen Ming’s abilities still have limits. Except for detecting nas, all his abilities are confined to non-living things, and the control ability is limited to chanical equipnt once he leaves the spaceship.
So in the early to mid-stages of colony establishnt, Chen Ming certainly can’t completely rid himself of the help from the Human World.
And in the future, there will always be biological needs in the colony, like environntal transformation and crop planting.
At that ti, he will definitely need the spaceship for long-distance transport of these types of items.
So there’s the opportunity to return.
Though Chen Ming said all of this, the factory manager was still sowhat skeptical and said, "Hopefully."
After talking about the new director, the factory manager quickly adjusted his emotions and said to Chen Ming, "Oh, by the way, old Wu told recently that he found soone following and investigating him."
"He said aside from drinking at the bar, he’d just go to Old Wu for a chat, didn’t provoke anyone else, and asked if you have any leads."
Chen Ming imdiately rembered the previous investigation by the Psychic from the Battle Zone.
"This might be related to the first rescue by the Fourteenth Legion. Do you know the specifics? If not, I can explain."
"No need."
The factory manager casually refused, and said, "I pretty much know the story."
"Old Wu told the source of it is so high-ups in the Battle Zone in our Star Realm decided to retaliate against you for bringing Sky Steel back to the company."
"Old Wu also ntioned sothing similar, but he didn’t provoke them, does it have anything to do with him?"
Chen Ming explained, "I guess it’s because they know I’m still alive, but they can’t find , so they have to look for people like you, who know ."
"You have the company backing you, and the boss is not to be trifled with, so they can only target Old Wu."
The factory manager frowned and asked, "Is that really the case? How do they know you’re still alive?"
"Psychic."
The factory manager shook his head and mimicked Chen Ming’s previous tone, "Then it’s fine."
Chen Ming had no imdiate solution either, and could only say, "Old Wu will have to stay alert for now. It’s just a few high-ups from the Battle Zone targeting , not the entire Battle Zone. They can’t mobilize the entire Battle Zone’s resources against Old Wu."
"If it really becos impossible, when I return, Old Wu can co with to lay low?"
"Wait, that doesn’t sound right. If I return, the Battle Zone’s attention will surely be on , leaving Old Wu alone, right? Just hang in there a few more days, I’m speeding up."
But the factory manager was just asking about it; he could handle many things at the Pirate Space Station with prior precautions.
So the factory manager agreed offhandedly; even if Chen Ming didn’t return, he was confident that Old Wu would continue living freely.
He even had the ti to joke, "Honestly, even if you asked him to go with you, I doubt he would want to. Your place probably doesn’t have what he wants."
"Booze and pretty girls, right?"
"Heh."
The factory manager suddenly chuckled like Old Wu and said, "Glad you understand."
"Old Wu and I will look after him; you just focus on your stuff. Don’t worry about us."
"Okay, if anything cos up, get in touch imdiately. I can handle so things now."
The factory manager acknowledged Chen Ming’s favor and said, "Aren’t I just waiting for you to help get rid of the new director?"
"Speaking of which, I feel like soone in the company might know you’re still alive."
"What makes you say that?"
"Recently a new batch of ships arrived from the company, docked at the shipyard. Officially, I bought them, but I rember clearly I never did."
"These ships are the ones barely intact and repairable from our company and the military’s battle with each other, including that Armor Piercing ship."
When Chen Ming heard this from the factory manager, he imdiately rembered.
Back when he had just joined forces with Dusk and was in close contact with Old Wu.
