When Chen Ming saw that the blood of the Insect Race could affect the chanical Race.

He instinctively wondered if the insects had evolved a capability to counter the chanical Race?

But this thought was imdiately dismissed by Chen Ming as too exaggerated.

Even if the insects on the space station had teleported here the mont Chen Ming left the space station, and engaged in battle with the chanical Race, adapting to the chanical Race’s abilities and evolving a counter to their systems,

the entire ti taken would have only been a little over six months.

Six months to evolve a capability to counteract a civilization’s remnant weapon systems.

It doesn’t seem likely.

But in this case, the issue with this gray-green blood seems even more significant.

As Chen Ming pondered.

The battle on the city’s edge continued.

Although the blood of the Insect Race had a considerable counter effect on the chanical Race, at this mont the battlefield was still one-sided in favor of the chanical Race.

As a large number of Bubble Insects among the attacking Insect Race fell, the insects at the forefront lost their fire support and were gradually suppressed by the chanical Race.

With a kill speed faster than the insects’ advance, they were forced back to the vicinity of the burrows they had dug.

But even as these insects saw no chance of victory, they continued their frantic struggle, relying on their seemingly endless numbers.

However, just as the Insect Race was being pushed back to a certain distance outside the city by the chanical Race’s firepower.

Chen Ming suddenly heard the booming sound of cannons from near the central position of the city.

Accompanied by the booming sound, dozens of scarlet streaks of light instantly shot into the sky.

If Chen Ming rembered correctly, he had just seen a large warehouse near the tower, and this symbol on the map of the city he saw was marked with a sharp weapon-like icon.

The abruptly fired scarlet streaks of light were most likely weapons from there, or special model machines launched by the chanical Race.

Within seconds of being fired, these streaks of light rained down from the sky again.

The fiery explosions accurately hit the swarm, striking the tunnels dug out by the Insect swarm, erupting into dozens of miniature mushroom clouds.

Covering everything related to the insects under this barrage.

The flas and mushroom clouds had not even dispersed yet,

and the scorching, searing atmosphere had already spread beyond the city.

The surviving insects crawled out from the thoroughly charred bodies of their companions, using their last bit of strength to hurl themselves at the chanical Race.

Even in death, they wanted to at least spray their blood on the enemy.

Yet their fate was destined to be defeat.

Under this pure firepower coverage, the swarm had no room to struggle, with the number of surviving insects barely a fraction of their initial count.

No longer a threat, nor could they endanger the chanical Race’s city.

As the last insect fell under the chanical Race’s guns, this battle that lasted nearly an hour finally ca to an end.

And at the mont the battle ended.

A lot of the chanical Race mbers that were just active suddenly collapsed, entering hibernation just like before.

However, simultaneously, many of the fallen chanical Race bodies had their electric signals completely cut off, falling into complete death.

The death of a part of the chanical entities did not cause any impact.

Soon, nurous chanical Race mbers ca out of the city to clean up and scout the battlefield.

But speaking of cleaning up, these chanical Race units rely extinguished fires and collected the bodies of the deceased chanical Race mbers.

They didn’t care about the bodies of insects lying outside.

Moreover, speaking of reclaiming, many chanical collectors collapsed halfway, completely dying like the bodies they were ant to collect.

This scene gave Chen Ming, who was observing all this, an indescribable feeling of regret and lancholy.

It was regret over the extinction of a civilization, and lancholy for the remnants of this civilization about to follow it into oblivion.

Of course, Chen Ming wasn’t swayed by his emotions.

He just felt a bit of reflection seeing this scene.

He certainly hadn’t forgotten that the chanical Race was almost everywhere in the universe, at least they were a common sight on the Empire’s path of expansion.

Chen Ming now only wanted to figure out one thing.

How exactly did these insects end up here?

The only place he might be able to figure it out and get clues from is this chanical Race city.

But Chen Ming had already taken control of the tower, and he could confirm that the internal database of the tower did not contain any related records.

However, such a large city doesn’t only have the tower as a central database.

There are many independent small databases scattered across different locations within the city.

The data from different areas of the city would first be aggregated in these small databases, and through classification and analysis, valuable data and information would be consolidated into the core area’s database in the tower.

Information about the Insect Race couldn’t possibly be non-valuable information.

However, there are still so parts of the city outside the tower’s control right now.

That’s why he needed his robots to help observe the battlefield situation earlier.

The areas outside the tower’s control might hold relevant records.

It’s not that Chen Ming is incapable of connecting the areas; it’s just that managing a city is much more complicated than a cruiser, and his spiritual power is simply insufficient.

He also didn’t know which areas might store this part of the information, and using spiritual energy to reconnect those areas back to the tower would be such an inefficient approach.
