The gladiators helped each other as they left the sand pit.

Lynx walked up to Drusus and reached out to pull him up.

"Are you okay?"

Drusus glanced at him and shook his head: "You are very strong."

"You are not weak either. It's just that your fighting style is too rigid."

Drusus smiled bitterly: "I've been a gladiator for ten years. I got used to it."

The two walked out side by side.

"Drusus,"

Lynx suddenly spoke. "What do you think of Batiatus?"

Drusus's footsteps paused. He looked around vigilantly and lowered his voice: "What do you want to say?"

"I want to say, after the performance match, if he doesn't want to give us freedom, what should we do?"

Drusus was silent for a while and shook his head: "No way. He is the boss, we are slaves."

"What if we are no longer slaves?"

Drusus suddenly turned to look at him: "What do you an?"

"I an, I want to take those who are willing to leave with and leave this place."

Lynx looked straight into his eyes. "Not just , Crixus, and others — we leave together."

Drusus stared at him, his eyes flickering: "You are crazy. Escaped slaves, if caught, it's death."

"Not escaping is also death."

"Dying from bleeding in the arena, or being thrown away as a discarded piece by Batiatus one day — what's the difference?"

Drusus stopped talking.

"Tonight, abandoned warehouse."

"Those willing to co, co. Those unwilling, I won't force them."

With that, he turned and left.

Drusus stood in place, watching his back, motionless for a long ti.

In the evening, Lynx went to the dical room to change dicine.

He got quite a few new injuries from training today. Mira cried as she treated them.

"Don't cry."

Lynx said softly. "They're just superficial wounds."

"You guys fought too hard today."

Mira said. "I heard… soone died."

Lynx was stunned: "Who?"

"A new slave."

Mira's voice trembled. "During training, he was smashed in the chest by a stone lock and died on the spot. The instructor said it was an accident, but soone saw it — Batiatus ordered it."

Lynx's eyes turned cold.

Killing the chicken to warn the monkey.

The old fox was warning them.

"I know."

Lynx held Mira's hand. "These few days, don't run around. Stay in the dical room. If anyone asks about my condition, say I am seriously injured and in poor shape."

"Why?"

"Show weakness and make Batiatus relax his vigilance."

Mira nodded, but the worry in her eyes was still very heavy.

After changing the dicine, Lynx left the dical room.

Just as he reached the center of the courtyard, he saw Batiatus standing at the main building entrance, talking to the instructor about sothing.

Seeing Lynx approach, Batiatus waved him over.

Lynx walked over.

"Master."

"How was training today?"

His face wore the usual smile.

"Not bad."

Lynx said neither humbly nor arrogantly. "Just a bit tired."

"Tired is good."

Batiatus patted his shoulder. "The performance match is postponed by three days. You have more ti to prepare. This is a good thing."

"Yes."

Batiatus stared at him for a few seconds and suddenly said: "Lynx, I heard… you get along quite well with Saxa?"

"We sparred a few tis."

Lynx's expression didn't change. "She is very strong."

"She is indeed very strong."

Batiatus nodded. "I spent a lot of money to invite her. She will help you in the performance match — of course, on the condition that you listen."

There was a hidden aning in these words.

"We will definitely do our best."

Lynx's expression remained unchanged.

"Mm."

Batiatus waved his hand. "Go rest. Keep your spirits up."

Lynx saluted and left.

After walking a few steps, he looked back.

Batiatus was still standing at the door, watching his back with deep eyes.

The old fox had indeed beco suspicious.

Lynx quickened his pace and returned to his cell.

The sky gradually darkened.

At dinner ti, the gladiators gathered in the ss hall, but the atmosphere was oppressive.

News of the death during training had already spread. Everyone kept their heads down and ate silently. No one spoke.

Lynx noticed that the kitchen steward Lucius was personally watching in the ss hall today. His eyes scanned every face with a sinister look.

It seed Batiatus was not only killing to establish authority outside but also tightening control inside.

After dinner, Lynx didn't return to his cell. Instead, he went straight to the abandoned warehouse.

When he arrived, people were already waiting.

Gisco, Amir, Marcus, Octavius, and Crixus with his five people — a total of ten.

Plus Lynx himself, eleven.

After waiting about another ten minutes, the warehouse door was pushed open again.

Drusus walked in, followed by three more gladiators — all veterans in the training ground who usually kept a low profile but had decent strength.

"We ca."

Lynx nodded: "Welco."

Now, fifteen people.

Task progress: 10/10.

[Ding! Task "Establish Prestige" completed!]

[Obtained reward: System Points x300, Random Attribute Point x1]

[Attribute Point randomly allocated to "Strength"]

[Current points: 500]

Strength increased.

Lynx clenched his fist and could feel the surging power in his muscles becoming even stronger.

He looked at the crowd.

"Everyone is here. Then I'll speak directly."

Lynx looked at the crowd. "The performance match will be held in three days. Nodis has six people. We only have four. We are at a nurical disadvantage, but there is a chance to win."

"What about after we win?"

Drusus asked. "Will Batiatus really give us freedom?"

"No."

Lynx spoke honestly. "He will find ways to control us, or directly deal with us. So, we have to fight for our own freedom."

"How do we fight for it?"

"Escape."

"After the performance match ends, escape from the side door of the arena. Crixus has arranged a ship waiting at the dock. We board the ship and leave Capua."

Everyone looked at each other.

"Can the ship hold this many people?"

"Yes."

Crixus finally spoke from the side. "The ship I arranged is not small. Fifteen people, plus that female healer and Saxa, should be no problem."

"Saxa?"

Drusus frowned. "Is that woman trustworthy?"

"Temporarily trustworthy."

Lynx continued. "Her relationship with Batiatus is only employnt. There is no loyalty, and she hates Romans. Our goals are the sa."

"Goals?"

Another gladiator asked. "What goals do we have?"

"The goal of surviving."

Lynx looked at him. "The goal of freedom. The goal of not wanting to be slaves anymore, not wanting to wait for death in the arena anymore."

The warehouse instantly fell silent.

Every face showed complex expressions — longing, fear, hesitation, determination.

"I want to live."

Marcus was the first to speak. His voice was not loud but very firm. "I want to leave this damn place."

"So do I."

Amir followed.

"Count in."

Gisco patted his chest.

One after another, the others expressed their stance.

In the end, everyone's gaze fell on Drusus.

This oldest gladiator in the training ground was silent for a long ti. Finally, he raised his head and looked at Lynx: "If you can take us out, I will follow you."

"I will."

Lynx said seriously.

"Then it's settled."

Drusus nodded. "What do we need to do?"

"Three things."

Lynx raised three fingers. "First, during training these few days, continue pretending to be weak. Don't let Batiatus see our real strength and coordination. Second, practice coordinated combat in private, especially thods to deal with nets and flying knives. Third…"

He paused, his voice lowered even more: "Third, find a way to get so money. Escaping requires travel expenses, and settling down requires capital. There must be cash in Batiatus's study. We need to find an opportunity to take so."

"This is too risky."

One gladiator said with so worry.

"If we don't take risks, how do we get freedom?"

Lynx asked back.

This ti, no one spoke anymore.

"Alright."

Lynx clapped his hands. "That's it for today. Everyone go back and rest. Train normally tomorrow. Rember, pretend to be weak, but don't actually be weak."

Just like that, everyone left one after another.

Lynx was the last to leave.

He walked out of the warehouse and looked up at the night sky.

The moon was covered by clouds. The stars were sparse.

Three days left.

In three days, either freedom or death.

He took a deep breath and turned toward his cell.
