Now reading: Chapter 9 9 from Sparta: Many childrens, Many Blessings, Starting from the Gladiator, a Action novel by Bruceink.

At this ti, Crixus was lifting stone weights over there.

That stone weight was at least two hundred pounds. His face was flushed red, veins bulging, and several gladiators who were flattering him were standing around loudly cheering.

"Big Brother Crixus is aweso!"

"With this strength, there's no second person in all of Capua!"

"That new kid is nothing, not even worthy of carrying Big Brother's shoes!"

Crixus smashed the stone weight heavily on the ground, raising a cloud of dust, and wiped his sweat with a proud look.

He looked up and happened to see Lynx walking over.

His face sank.

"What are you here for?"

Crixus asked in a bad tone.

Lynx stopped five steps in front of him, arms crossed over his chest: "I heard you think my victory yesterday was just luck?"

The surroundings instantly beca quiet.

The few flattering gladiators looked at each other and quietly stepped back a few steps.

The other people in the training ground also stopped their movents and all looked over.

The show was starting.

Crixus didn't expect Lynx to be so direct. He was stunned for a mont, then sneered: "What? Did I say sothing wrong? Trash like the 'Net Man', I can crush him with one hand. You just got lucky."

"Is that so?"

Lynx nodded. "Then why don't we try it?"

"Try what?"

"Very simple."

Lynx pointed to the open space in the center of the training ground. "No weapons, no armor, just bare hands. If you can touch within three moves, you win. After that, I will walk around you when I see you, and in the performance match I will listen to you completely."

"And if I can't touch you?"

Crixus narrowed his eyes.

"If you can't touch , you listen to in the performance match."

Lynx said, "At least, don't stab in the back."

As soon as these words ca out, the whole place erupted.

Bare hands?

Touch within three moves and you win?

This condition was too advantageous for Crixus!

With his brute strength, as long as he grabbed Lynx, he could crush his bones!

Crixus obviously thought the sa.

A fierce smile appeared on his face: "Kid, you asked for it."

"So, bet or not?"

"Bet!"

Crixus ripped off the leather armor on his body, revealing his muscular upper body. "Right now!"

The two walked to the center of the open space.

The instructor heard the noise and rushed over. He originally wanted to stop it, but when he saw Batiatus standing by the second-floor window looking down, he closed his mouth and stepped aside.

The training ground was surrounded by people three layers deep.

Even the kitchen slaves were squeezing at the door to peek.

Crixus flexed his wrists and twisted his neck left and right, making cracking sounds.

He was half a head taller than Lynx and at least fifty pounds heavier. Standing there like an iron tower.

Lynx looked relatively "slender".

But he stood very relaxed, feet slightly apart, center of gravity lowered, hands naturally hanging at his sides — this was the most basic ready stance in Basic Combat Mastery.

"Ready?"

Crixus grinned. "First move!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he charged forward fiercely. His huge fist, carrying the sound of wind, smashed straight toward Lynx's face!

This punch was fast and ruthless. If it landed, it could shatter facial bones.

The onlookers couldn't help but exclaim.

But Lynx didn't dodge.

He didn't even move.

Just when the fist was less than an inch from his nose tip, his body suddenly slid half a step to the left — really just half a step, no more, no less.

Crixus's fist grazed past his cheek, the wind it brought making his skin sting.

One punch missed.

Crixus couldn't stop his montum and staggered forward one step.

"One move."

Lynx's voice sounded calmly.

Crixus roared angrily, turned around and delivered a side kick, aiming at Lynx's waist and ribs!

This kick was powerful and heavy. If it hit, at least three ribs would break.

Lynx still didn't dodge far.

He leaned his body back slightly, and at the sa ti pressed down with his right hand, lightly flicking on Crixus's incoming calf —

Not a hard block, but guiding along the direction of the force.

Crixus only felt the force on his leg inexplicably deviate a bit, grazing past Lynx's waist and kicking into empty air.

"Two moves."

Lynx continued.

Crixus's eyes instantly turned red.

Two moves! He didn't even touch the corner of the opponent's clothes!

This was simply a great humiliation!

"Fuck! I'll kill you!"

For the third move, he no longer held back. He charged over like a wild bull, arms open, trying to hug Lynx — as long as he hugged him, with his strength, he could instantly snap Lynx's spine!

This was the most primitive and effective fighting thod.

The onlookers held their breath.

Lynx looked at the charging Crixus, his eyes turning cold.

This ti, he didn't just dodge.

The mont Crixus was about to hug him, Lynx moved.

His body suddenly dropped low, almost against the ground, sliding under Crixus's open arms!

At the sa ti, his right leg swung up like a scorpion tail, fiercely kicking toward Crixus's groin!

Groin kick!

"Ugh—!"

Crixus's forward charge ca to an abrupt stop. His whole body froze in place, eyes bulging wide, mouth open, but he couldn't make a complete sound.

He instinctively covered his crotch with both hands. His face instantly went from red to white, then from white to green. Cold sweat poured down his forehead.

He slowly knelt down, curled up on the ground like a boiled shrimp.

The training ground instantly fell into dead silence.

Everyone was stunned.

Three moves… strictly speaking, Lynx only actively made one move.

Crixus not only failed to touch him, he didn't even touch a single hair. Instead, he was kicked in the groin and lost his fighting ability.

No one expected this result.

Lynx stood up, patted the dust off his hands, walked in front of Crixus, and squatted down.

Crixus was trembling all over from pain. He barely raised his head, his eyes full of resentnt and disbelief.

"Rember,"

Lynx's voice was not loud, but loud enough for everyone around to hear. "In the performance match, don't play tricks. Otherwise…"

He glanced at Crixus's crotch. "Next ti it won't be just a little pain."

After saying that, he stood up and looked around.

No one dared to et his gaze.

Those gladiators who were originally watching the show with a playful attitude now looked at him with only deep fear and awe.

This guy… was too ruthless.

He specialized in hitting below the belt, and did it so righteously.

Lynx shrugged indifferently, walked back to the corner where he was practicing, picked up the short sword again, and continued practicing slashing movents as if nothing had happened just now.

By the second-floor window, Batiatus stroked his chin, his face showing a thoughtful expression.

"What do you think?"

He asked the instructor beside him.

The instructor swallowed. "This kid… his moves are very strange, not standard gladiator techniques, but very practical. And he seems… particularly clear on how to make the opponent lose fighting ability."

"Yes."

Batiatus smiled. "Crixus's brute strength is like a stupid bull in front of him. This is getting interesting… The performance match might really bring a surprise."

He turned and left the window.
