Hua Qingyi was a bit nervous. Although he hadn’t missed any basic training over the past two years, this was still his first mission. "Mr. Xiao, the situation is difficult. An important guest nad Murong Lengyue is on the fourth floor today, and the directive is clear—no matter what the cost, Miss Murong Lengyue must not be hard! There are nine kidnappers in total, and besides Murong Lengyue, the hostages include other bank staff and personnel that Murong Lengyue brought, roughly between twenty-five to thirty-five people, all in the fourth-floor conference room!" Director Lin spoke in a very urgent tone but was careful not to sound commanding with Xiao Lin—Dragon Soul didn’t need anyone to teach them how to operate.
"Murong Lengyue? The world’s richest woman and philanthropist?" Xiao Lin was indeed surprised; he didn’t expect the Middle Eastern gentlen to have such an appetite, directly targeting Murong Lengyue, a philanthropist with substantial global influence.
"Yes, the top officials of the city and the municipal governnt have already rushed here. The other party contacted us just now, presenting a very strange condition!"
"What condition?" Xiao Lin’s heart sank. When it ca to Murong Lengyue, there probably weren’t many who hadn’t heard of her. Aside from holding the title of the world’s wealthiest woman, she was also the kindest philanthropist. An article once claid that although she might not be the world’s richest tycoon, she was the most benevolent one.
"He wants to et a mber of Dragon Soul, called the Military Doctor!" Director Lin said.
"What else did he say?" Xiao Lin’s understanding deepened. The Middle Eastern gentlen’s kidnapping of Murong Lengyue likely had him as the ultimate target. If that were the case, it would simplify things.
"They’ve given us three days. If the Military Doctor doesn’t show up, Murong Lengyue might sadly et her end here in Huaxia!" Director Lin replied, knowing Xiao Lin was a mber of Dragon Soul, though unaware that he was the Military Doctor. But he assud Xiao Lin would pass this ssage back to Dragon Soul. What choice Dragon Soul would make wasn’t sothing he had control over; even the city and municipal governnt officials had no influence over whether Dragon Soul would send the Military Doctor to Yanjing.
Naturally, Xiao Lin picked up on the subtext in Director Lin’s words and found it amusing. Knowing he was right here, there was no need for the secrecy. Yet, Xiao Lin didn’t reveal that he was the Military Doctor of Dragon Soul and replied flatly, "Understood, leave this entirely to us!" Looking out the window, he saw the special police and ard police surrounding the bank beginning to slowly retreat.
Thinking about Murong Lengyue being in their hands made Xiao Lin’s head ache, but thankfully she wasn’t their main target. If push ca to shove, Xiao Lin didn’t know what he’d do. Would he really have to deliver himself into the trap of the Middle Eastern gentlen?
Seeing the gravity in Xiao Lin’s expression, Hua Qingyi dared not joke anymore and asked in a serious tone, "Bro, how are things looking?"

"I originally thought I’d just rush in and take down the Middle Eastern gentlen, but with Murong Lengyue in their custody, given their capabilities they could easily take her with them if we kill him. If Murong Lengyue were to suffer any mishap here in Huaxia, especially under Dragon Soul’s rescue operations, the impact would be imnse. The top brass doesn’t want anything to happen to her!"
