Xiao Lin looked coldly at the Middle Eastern gentleman. He didn’t believe the man’s words. If the gentleman were still in his previous position, he could have decisively killed the hostage, and Xiao Lin wouldn’t have been able to stop him. Unfortunately for the gentleman, he was a few seconds late, and now he was at least ten ters away from the hostages, while Xiao Lin was only three ters from him. Xiao Lin was confident in his ability to intercept him.

"I don’t care if others believe it or not, but I certainly don’t!" Xiao Lin suddenly recalled a popular phrase recently, though he reversed its aning. He didn’t know the origin of this saying, otherwise, he might have been quite upset.

Upon hearing Xiao Lin’s words, the hostages imdiately breathed a sigh of relief. For so reason, when they saw Xiao Lin appear, though he seed even frailer than Hua Qingyi, his confidence was incomparable. It was as if, with him around, nothing could go wrong.

Murong Lengyue was the first to recover, quickly telling Young Master Wu, "Hurry and evacuate the hostages!" Young Master Wu wanted to escort Murong Lengyue away first, but after hearing her words and seeing her resolute eyes, he turned to the hostages and said, "Those who can walk, follow ; those who can’t, let others assist. Help those wounded but alive as well!"

Upon hearing Murong Lengyue’s words, Xiao Lin focused on the Middle Eastern gentleman and said to the eight special forces soldiers, "You all go help too. I can handle this!" The eight special forces soldiers knew they were of no help in such a situation. Trying to take a surprise shot from behind had low success rates. They knew that for experts like the Military Doctor, only remote gunfire or heavy weapon suppression posed a threat. In close combat, they were no nace; the expert would have changed position before they could pull the trigger, let alone a fast-moving person who’d already be in front of them.

The Middle Eastern gentleman’s words were confident, but he dared not make any rash moves. The pressure from the overly young man before him was unprecedentedly overwhelming, preventing him from underestimating him in the slightest, let alone considering slaughtering the hostages ten ters away. Of course, if he had a gun now, he could manage it. But accustod to arrogance, he seldom carried a weapon.

Regret wouldn’t help him now. The gentleman knew the only way out was to eliminate the young man before him; otherwise, there’d be no escape. Seeing the hostages about to leave and realizing his last leverage was slipping, the gentleman couldn’t hold his composure any longer. He shouted, jumped up, and lunged at the hostages, but Xiao Lin leaped gracefully, intercepting him mid-air.

"I told you, with here, you won’t harm a soul, resign yourself!" Xiao Lin sneered, the greatest threat now eliminated. Dealing with the gentleman posed no ntal burden anymore. He could fight as he pleased, his montum unstoppable.

The fight between them was swift. Within a few breaths, they exchanged over a dozen moves. To bystanders, it seed they were re phantoms moving in and out. Only Hua Qingyi, panting on the side, could clearly see their fight. Initially, two special forces soldiers intended to carry Hua Qingyi away, knowing their situation. The gentleman had tried to kill him, wounding his internal organs, which ordinary dical treatnt couldn’t heal. Only Xiao Lin could do so now.

With a bang, the figures separated!

The Middle Eastern gentleman’s hair was disheveled, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, fear welling inside. This young lad a head shorter than him, the Dragon Soul’s Military Doctor, was terrifying. Even in a head-on clash, he gained no advantage. Speed-wise, the lad was at least three segnts faster. After exchanging over a dozen moves, he’d hit the gentleman thrice, while the gentleman couldn’t land a single blow. If not for his thick skin and flesh, he might have been dead already.

"The Military Doctor’s reputation is well-deserved. To die by such an expert rather than a bullet is an honor!" The gentleman’s eyes showed less ferocity, his tone sincere. Experts like him considered dying to a bullet humiliating, always believing their skills could at least hold off a shooter.

"I won’t let you die, as long as you don’t want to!" Xiao Lin shook his head. Capturing him alive was the best outco. This gentleman’s identity was too significant in the Middle Eastern region for Huaxia. Subduing him would be far more advantageous than killing him.

The Middle Eastern gentleman, rebellious, wouldn’t yield, let alone surrender. He calmly said, "Don’t bother dreaming. My brother didn’t surrender, nor will I! I’m fighting for the great Holy Church. We never surrender!"

By this ti, half of the conference room hostages had been evacuated. However, a few shot at died on the spot, bodies left in the eting room. So were rely hit in non-critical areas, saving their lives. Assisted by the special forces, they prepared to leave.

"Princess, let’s go!" Young Master Wu pleaded with Murong Lengyue. Putting her in such danger ant he would face consequences, no matter the outco. He only hoped she’d quickly leave the troubled place.

Having finally t the man she longed for day and night, Murong Lengyue couldn’t possibly leave. Especially since that man was still fighting, fighting for her. Fixated on the scene, she said, "You escort the hostages out; I’ll return on my own later!"

"Princess..." Wu Shuang was rendered speechless. Could he forcibly take her away? The thought was preposterous; even among their bodyguards, few approached within a ter of Murong Lengyue, let alone carried her off.

But the danger wasn’t fully averted. Who knew if the Middle Eastern gentleman had more tricks up his sleeve? Noticing Wu Shuang evacuating the last hostage, he waved Wu Shuang over, "Miss SWAT, could you lend a hand?"

Seeing Murong Lengyue hadn’t left, Wu Shuang grasped Wu’s intent without hesitation, nodding as she approached. Murong Lengyue’s sensitive identity made staying inappropriate. For her safety, imdiate departure was necessary, even by force, if required.

"Miss Murong, please leave at once!" Wu Shuang, however, wasn’t so accommodating.

"And if I refuse?" Murong Lengyue looked coldly at Wu Shuang.

Lastly, I don’t want to say much. I’d just like to deeply raise my middle finger to our power station here and say: What the heck!
