"I thought you were going to stand up today!" Shaking off the wet strands of hair, Yelu Shou only felt the tension of watching the movent behind him through the rearview mirror.
"Edmund is dead! The body was never found, I suspect it lted on the spot." Rochester’s efficiency was high, and three reports were already in his inbox before he clocked out. However, the contents of these reports did not provide much information. Each of the three householders seed to be ordinary honest folks. This made it difficult to understand why the old gentleman lied unless the killer rebuilt the wall at the cri scene. This possibility was unlikely.
"For a body to lt without external substances, only Dragon Soul has such a liquid. You’ve seen the concentration of that liquid, and if it were used, there is no way you wouldn’t sll it." Yelu Shou didn’t want to discourage Xiao Lin but he had to state the facts!

In this fitting setting, Yelu Shou shrugged his shoulders and suddenly grabbed Xiao Lin’s arm. "Pull over!" Before the car had even co to a complete stop, Yelu Shou had already dashed out the door, leaving Xiao Lin with no choice but to pull over and light a cigarette.
The rain ca suddenly, the raindrops brushing against the glass, and in an instant, the shadow of Shou was gone. Seventy-two hours had passed since the bar attack, and the adversary had not acted again, sothing that took Xiao Lin by surprise. The chance to cause terror or carry out a preditated plan had been missed, with no follow-up nor harm done to anyone alive. A halfway done plan like this didn’t seem to stem from Fourth Master’s handiwork. Had he been wrong?
Just as he ca to this thought, a short cry for help sounded from the alley. Xiao Lin hesitated; a rainy night like this was not suitable for acting alone.
The dark alley is called dark because most of it lies in the shadows. Due to the principles of optics, even the transparent brightness is obscured by the buildings, making it appear extrely dark, but this doesn’t an there is no light, only that the brightness does not reach the level of light.
A faint plea for help ca from the depths of the alley, with a hissing sound of sothing being dragged on the ground accompanying it, making Xiao Lin’s premonition more precise, hence he started running. With his extraordinary eyesight, he identified a shadow crawling on the ground about three or four ters ahead, the painful sound coming from this shadow.
"Hey!" At about a ter’s distance, Xiao Lin stopped and shouted at the shadow. "What happened?"
All that answered him was a low moan. A bolt of lightning streaked across the sky as if deliberately giving Xiao Lin so light. He saw a ball-like shape slowly writhing on the ground, its grotesque form like a person who had lost their limbs, left only with a torso crawling, and the head beneath it was a ss of blood and flesh; it was unimaginable what had happened to this person.
Xiao Lin imdiately notified 119, and the police arrived in the alley in about five minutes, bringing light to its dark environnt and with them ca the sound of vomiting. Only then did Xiao Lin see clearly what this bizarre thing was!
Can this still be called a person? That’s likely the question everyone on the scene wanted to ask. A body left with just a torso and a face without features, the severed limbs lying still behind it, and detached facial features scattered alone.
"Oh!" Another wave of vomiting sounded as Rochester’s stomach began to convulse uncontrollably. "Officer, officer, was it you who reported the case?"
"Yes!" Xiao Lin might be the only person still standing, even though his stomach was trembling and convulsing, he managed to hold it together.
"Then I’ll need to take your statent."
"Hold on!" Xiao Lin walked over to the moving ’flesh ball,’ surprising everyone by squatting down beside it. "Wang Zhantian?"
The severed ears had lost their hearing, yet for so reason, the creature reacted to those three words. Xiao Lin stood up and walked back to Rochester. "This is the person I’m looking for, his na is Wang Zhantian."
Rochester continued to write in his notebook, throwing a shocked glance over at Xiao Lin. "Who would have such a grudge against him, tsk tsk tsk! Officer, do we need to call an ambulance?"
This question was hard for Xiao Lin to answer. Humanitarianly speaking, it should be called, but this person wouldn’t survive five minutes; he would die halfway to the hospital. "The weather isn’t very good today."
"Yes!" Rochester had just finished speaking when the voices of the colleagues handling the scene called out, Wang Zhantian is dead! "I guess I don’t need to call an ambulance now."
No one wanted to look at such a grueso sight, and the handling of the body was quick and hasty. The sudden heavy rain had washed the ground clean, making it difficult to find any clues. At this mont, Xiao Lin suddenly rembered the shadow that passed in front of his car, the figure that Shou so desperately wanted to chase.
"Officer? Officer!" Rochester called out several tis before pulling Xiao Lin back from his thoughts.
"Ah, sorry Rochester, I zoned out, is there sothing you wanted?" Xiao Lin awkwardly rubbed the back of his head, appearing so simple and endearing that Rochester montarily forgot what he wanted to say.
"Oh, the CIA guys are here, they want to examine the scene and the body."

Both Cross and Kate were seasoned agents who had seen plenty of bizarre cases, yet their expressions after seeing Wang Zhantian’s body were quite sympathetic. That thing could no longer be called a person; it was more akin to a bloody lump of flesh.
"Young Master Xiao!" Kate pulled Xiao Lin aside. "Wang Zhantian died here, and you are the only witness. I’m afraid this is a conspiracy."
After listening, Xiao Lin nodded. "Kate, this isn’t a pre-designed conspiracy, but it could definitely be manipulated as if it were one!"
The only person who knew he would co to Gambino Bar Street was Yelu Shou, so Wang Zhantian dying here was just a coincidence. "No, Young Master Xiao, I’m not implying it’s you, but Mr. Hua!"
Hua Qingyi! The person Palermo couldn’t find even after Troy turned the place upside down, also the one most eager to see Wang Zhantian dead. "Officer, the director’s call!" At this mont, Rochester ca over holding a phone. "He needs you to take it."

"Shou?" Xiao Lin scread internally, bolting out of the alley, the screech of car brakes echoed in the air, leaving a confused Rochester and a broken phone scattered on the ground. (To be continued.
