"Nothing really, just wanted to say the tiger left for abroad two days ago," the lion replied nonchalantly.
"I see. It’s late, you should get so sleep too!" Qu Yongbo responded without a change in tone, knowing the lion’s action had failed, as expected, making Qu Yongbo indifferent.
"Everyone should get so rest!" The lion said blandly, though his heart was filled with growing resentnt.
Do you think I know nothing? Just a sitting lion?
The lion was furious, but quickly cald himself, thinking perhaps this was a chance to latch onto another big figure, just like he initially partnered with the Qu Family.
The Liger Gang had been laundered clean over decades, becoming today’s Liger City. Did they think the Liger Gang had no backing? In Yanjing, whether in legal circles or underworld circles, the Liger Gang was a force to be reckoned with.
Qu Yongbo wanted the Liger Gang to lead the charge, maybe even to serve as cannon fodder? The lion wasn’t that foolish.
Managing the Liger Gang for decades and laundering all its industries, establishing the current Liger City, wouldn’t be possible without approval from higher-ups.
Of course, even with connections above, the lion wouldn’t be stupid enough to tip them off now. That would only prove his incompetence, revealing nothing else.

In contrast, the Liger Gang erged unscathed from this anti-cri wave, with only a few peripheral venues affected, while industries within Liger City remained untouched.
Ordinary citizens felt nothing; even Xiao Lin felt nothing. Xiao Lin and Xia Xue only got up around noon, undisturbed by anyone from the Xia Family. Although Xia Yusheng silenced the bodyguards about last night’s events, word slowly leaked throughout the Xia Family. Of course, regarding Xiao Lin’s identity, none of these bodyguards dared to whisper a word, only ntioning that Xiao Lin was intercepted on his way back last night but dealt with the trouble and returned to the Xia Family.
