"I don’t want a new one; I just want the chair under my master’s butt." In fact, Xiao Lin had his sights set on that chair. The first new weapon developed by Dragon Soul was integrated into this chair. Although the weapons developed since then are lighter and more effective, he still prefers the performance of the early weapons, as they are much more stable.
The chair beneath Lao Long can transform into a weapon at the armrest or back. Even the legs and the seat surface have different functionalities, aiding you in various scenarios during sudden situations. Yet, from the outside, it looks just like a regular office chair.
"Is the Military Advisor back?" Putting away the jokes, Lao Long asked in a deep voice, "I’ve read your report. Are you sure there are no flaws in your hypothesis?"
"I’m not certain, but there are many doubts within it that I can’t unravel at once." Xiao Lin straightened up, setting his feet down. When it cos to work, he is ticulous; even though he has left Dragon Soul, its discipline is imprinted in his very blood.
"What are you planning to do? Imprison the Military Advisor?"
Lao Long had perused the report provided by Xiao Lin more than once. Even when they were in Amman, he had already used personal channels to dispel part of the doubts, but up until yesterday, the information he received back was still null.
He had to treat this Middle East mission with seriousness, and even more so, he had to treat the Military Advisor with seriousness. In other words, Dragon Soul isn’t worried about not having a successor; its ruthlessness lies in its willingness to sacrifice. Oftentis, it would rather sacrifice a highly talented individual than risk plunging the entire Dragon Soul into a dire predicant. Xiao Lin knows this, and Lao Long knows it even more, so to Dragon Soul, the Military Advisor can be sacrificed. Even if she’s just a possibility, Dragon Soul won’t risk letting that possibility survive.
"Master, can you hand over the Military Advisor to ?" Xiao Lin thought for a long ti, ultimately choosing to wade through troubled waters, contrary to his principles.
