"You are a downright fickle-minded, flirtatious carrot."
Uh... Xiao Lin was speechless.
Fortunately, the ergency room door opened at this mont, and a nurse walked out.
"Hello, I’m a policeman!" Wu Shuang stopped her, showing her badge: "How is the condition of the poisoned patient now?"
"Oh, we couldn’t save him, he’s already been sent to the morgue." The nurse hurriedly left through the safety passage.
"Did you hear that?" Wu Shuang looked at Xiao Lin with so regret. From the perspective of a victim, she could understand Xiao Lin’s expectations for this person, but...
Xiao Lin burst into the ergency rescue room without saying a word, glanced at the equipnt and dical supplies, and made a disdainful sound.
"You didn’t follow my dosage when administering the fluid!" His voice sounded even colder in the chilly rescue room, holding sothing like a vacuum sphere, head lowered, making it impossible to see his face.
"Why is it you again, this isn’t a place for soone like you, leave."
Wang Zhengguo was entering report data on the computer. Despite an ergency patient not being saved, he felt a bit burdened. But fortunately, the person didn’t carry any identification, saving a lot of trouble in later processing.
"Why not use 1000cc, the maximum dosage?" Xiao Lin squeezed the sphere in his hand, his voice even colder than before.
"You’re strange, I’m a doctor, I’m a professional—why should I listen to your advice as a layperson?" Annoyed by Xiao Lin’s interference, Wang Zhengguo stood up. When he moved closer to Xiao Lin, a chill crept up his spine.
"I told you that you won’t save him, and you will suffer for it."
"Crazy!" Wang Zhengguo pushed Xiao Lin, trying to shove him out the door, but found himself unable to move him an inch: "Nurse, nurse, get this person out of here."
"Clearly, you haven’t listened to a word I said." Xiao Lin gripped Wang Zhengguo’s wrist: "As a doctor, your morality is lacking."
Hearing the shouting inside, Wu Shuang and several nurses rushed in: "Xiao Lin, what are you doing?"
"You are... you’re a policeman, right?" Wang Zhengguo saw Wu Shuang enter wearing a uniform and quickly freed his other hand to greet her: "This person has a ntal problem, he wants to hit , arrest him, quickly arrest him."
"Release him first!" Wu Shuang approached Xiao Lin, placing a hand on his: She could easily feel Xiao Lin’s anger, different from the state she had encountered before, leaving her at a loss: "Let go of your hand first."
"Go find the director here!" Xiao Lin spoke again, releasing his grip, glancing at the nurse from earlier, and pointed at her: "Go call your director."
"Okay!" The nurse displayed her canine teeth and dashed away like she was fleeing.
Wang Zhengguo fell to the ground, shouting, pointing his finger at Wu Shuang: "Officer, you saw it, saw it, he hit ."
Seeing the man sprawled on the ground like a woman, Wu Shuang frowned. She had seen won acting out before, but a man doing it was a first. She helped Wang Zhengguo up to sit on a bench: "Rest here for now, we’ll handle this matter."
"I’m going to sue him! I’m going to sue him!" Wang Zhengguo twisted his wrist, shouting like a pig being slaughtered: "My hand, my hand!"
"Comminuted fracture, you’ll never hold a scalpel again in your life." Xiao Lin threw down this cold statent and retreated to the door.
Wu Shuang watched his back, her head buzzing, only thinking that this situation amounted to assault. If the doctor sitting there insisted on filing a complaint, the lawsuit could be perfectly justified.
"What’s going on here?" An elderly man walked out from the elevator door, striding to the ergency room. The crowd parted to make way, with the nurse from earlier following behind. She pointed at Xiao Lin and silently mouthed ’that’s the director.’
"Why are you all standing here? Are you free?" The old man’s voice was powerful as he glared at each dical staff present: "No patients needing your care? Since when have the outpatient staff co to work at the ergency room?"
Xiao Lin stood by, gaining a better impression of this director: "Excuse , are you the director here?"
"Yes! And who might you be?" The old man turned around, only now noticing the young man in his twenties: "Did you want to see ?"
"That’s right!" Xiao Lin nodded with a smile: "I demand that you dismiss this person, Doctor Wang Zhengguo."
"I’m afraid you can’t make do that." The old man was shaken by this young man’s tone but didn’t show any reaction outwardly: "You don’t have the qualification to ask to make such a decision."
"Hehehe!" Xiao Lin laughed lightly, indifferent to the director’s attitude; considering his understanding, there was no error: "It’s true I don’t have that qualification, but I have the authority to revoke his dical license. If you handle it, he can still work as a physician in a third-level hospital or private practice. But if I handle it, he’ll have to go ho and fend for himself, so it’ll be wise for you to make the right choice."
Anyone would feel uncomfortable hearing such a tone, and the old man narrowed his eyes. He was indeed unhappy, but he couldn’t understand why the words from this young man made him deeply believe that this person could achieve what he said.
"May I ask what exactly our Doctor did that makes you demand I dismiss him?"
"Hmm! You are a good director, but your Doctor is not a good doctor." This was sowhat of a response. Xiao Lin simply found it disdainful to explain further.
"Who exactly are you?"
"May I speak with you in private?" Xiao Lin headed towards the stairway next to the ergency room and handed a notebook to the director.
A black leather and red notebook with a golden national emblem on the front and a lifelike, awe-inspiring golden dragon weaving through clouds on the back. Holding this notebook, the old man felt a bit excited and looked up at Xiao Lin distrustfully, unable to utter a word for a long ti.
"Director, do you still need a reason from now?" Xiao Lin put away the notebook, saluted the old man, and then strode out of the hospital.
Indeed, no reason was necessary. The old man let out a long sigh at the figure disappearing into the crowd.
He turned toward the ergency room. Wang Zhengguo’s wrist had already been bandaged. It wasn’t the first ti he had heard objections about this Doctor’s actions from others, but due to the powerful backing, he had often turned a blind eye as long as it wasn’t a fundantal issue or a major dical accident. After all, people are selfish, and you can’t take care of everyone, so you can only cater to a few.
"Wang Zhengguo, I will introduce you to a good local hospital." The old man made up his mind. No matter what, this was an opportunity to deal with this person, and even if there were to be doubts from above, it wouldn’t fall on him.
"Why?"
Obviously, he was dissatisfied with the old man’s decision, knowing that the status difference between a director of an ergency room at the city’s central hospital and a doctor at a local hospital was worlds apart. Wang Zhengguo couldn’t accept it: "Director, you can’t do this."
"You offended an important figure, being able to continue as a doctor is already good enough for you."
"Who was it? " Wang Zhengguo didn’t believe the director would disregard his background, so whoever put this old man in a difficult position must also be influential in Yanjing. Could it be the Hua Family? Wang Zhengguo pondered internally.
"This person is not soone you can offend, even the Wang Family behind you might not be able to." The old man looked at Wang Zhengguo’s expression and couldn’t help shaking his head. He suddenly regretted not directly letting the young man handle it, as at least it would have removed a scourge from the path of dical ethics.
"Xiao Lin!" Wu Shuang called out to Xiao Lin, who had already stepped out of the hospital door, as she rushed out of the hospital lobby.
"What’s the matter?"
"Do you know soone with the alias ’Xiang Fei’?"
"’Xiang Fei’?" Xiao Lin tilted his head, watching Wu Shuang, not understanding why she ntioned such a person at this ti.
"Yes! An online friend we play gas with. He joined a gathering with Xia Xue and the others before, but we’re not that close, only t twice."
"After that explosion incident, he was taken into criminal detention."
Xiao Lin couldn’t help but furrow his brows. He had a strong aversion to that explosion incident; to him, it was a blunder in his life thus far, as a man, he failed to protect his woman, even letting her fall into life-threatening danger, and he swore to personally deal with the mastermind behind it.
"Why?"
He didn’t have much mory of Xiang Fei, only knowing this person was not simple, and felt grateful for the ti Xiang Fei took a bullet for him. However, this person was too mysterious; since knowing him till now, he didn’t really know where this person lived, what he did, only knew that in gas, he was a very cunning person.
"He is an assassin!"
"An assassin?"
This fact left Xiao Lin quite shocked, several images flashed in his mind. Could the delicate Xiang Fei, appearing more androgynous than a woman, be an assassin? No wonder, even during the first rescue of Xun Xiangxiang, he could feel the murderous aura emanating from him: "You guys didn’t get it wrong, did you?"
"I hope it’s a mistake, but he has the ’Black Crow’ mark on him." Wu Shuang’s expression didn’t look like she was joking.
"’Black Crow’?"
"Yes! There are a pair of blood-dripping wings on his left chest."
"Quite a high level!" (To be continued. If you like this work, feel free to visit Qidian (qidian) to vote with recomndations and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
