Unless accompanied by other illnesses, it is absolutely impossible to suffer from severe heatstroke at this ti. Xiao Lin followed, walking behind the group of nurses.

In the ergency room, Dr. Li Jingyi had just prescribed so dicine for a mildly heat-stricken student when she saw a large group of people coming in from outside the door. The first to rush in were nurses from other departnts, who said to Dr. Li, "Dr. Li, this student fainted as soon as she arrived at the university hospital lobby. Her classmates said she was experiencing heatstroke!" The nurse quickly recounted what she knew.

Upon hearing that the heatstroke had turned into fainting, Dr. Li Jingyi dared not be negligent. Heatstroke could be minor, possibly cured with so dicine, but if serious, it could even threaten a person’s life.

"Then why did you bring her here? Take her directly to the ergency room, I’ll be there shortly!" Dr. Li Jingyi was straightforward, got up imdiately after speaking.

After helping the severely heat-stricken student into the ergency room, Dr. Li Jingyi began a preliminary observation. She intended to ask the nas of the two classmates who helped her in but suddenly noticed there seed to be an extra person in the ergency room—a young man about twenty years old, presumably a senior. Li Jingyi, being a professional, especially during her dical practice, frowned upon seeing the young man standing in the ergency room and said, "Who are you? Don’t you know this is an ergency room? Get out of here now!"

Xiao Lin forced a smile. Today he was kicked out by a doctor for the second ti. Did he really look so unlike a doctor?

"This student is likely not just severely heat-stricken, perhaps her heatstroke is caused by another illness!" Xiao Lin ignored Li Jingyi’s anger and said assertively.

Li Jingyi had already observed that the student was indeed suffering from severe heatstroke. As for whether it was caused by another illness, she couldn’t tell. After all, the university hospital’s dical equipnt was sowhat outdated, and she had never encountered such a condition before.

"Are you also a doctor?" A big question mark popped up above Li Jingyi’s head. How could there be such a young doctor? He looked barely older than twenty.

"Hello, you must be Dr. Li Jingyi from the ergency room? I’m Xiao Lin!" Xiao Lin smiled slightly and said.

"Ah, you... you are Dr. Xiao Linxiao!" Li Jingyi was surprised. Didn’t the resu say Xiao Lin was twenty-four or twenty-five years old? Why did he look so youthful? Moreover, he seed a bit different from the photo.

"Indeed!" Xiao Lin laughed, then put down his travel bag and walked to the heat-stricken student’s side, asking, "Dr. Li, having looked at her earlier, to what extent do you think the heatstroke is?"

"I think it’s sunstroke among severe heatstrokes. These freshn just started military training, the sunlight penetrates the skin and skull causing brain cell damage, leading to brain tissue congestion and edema. They said she fainted right after entering the lobby, so it should be sunstroke!" Dr. Li Jingyi was very professional, answering fluently.

Xiao Lin nodded, not refuting Dr. Li Jingyi. Under such circumstances, making this judgnt wasn’t wrong. Xiao Lin looked at the student, then grabbed her left hand for a check, and pressed two fingers on her neck, his expression grew more solemn. After careful observation, he turned back to Dr. Li Jingyi and said, "Dr. Li, I believe the problem isn’t just sunstroke. I noticed earlier that her body is weak and lacks blood and energy. I suspect the severe heatstroke is caused by anemia, but the type of anemia needs further examination!"

The university hospital was mostly for minor ailnts like fever and colds. To examine anemic conditions, it truly lacked the necessary equipnt. After thinking for a mont, Dr. Li said, "But we don’t have that kind of equipnt!"

"Do you have any silver needles and alcohol lamps here?" Xiao Lin asked.

"Yes, yes!" Li Jingyi nodded, then turned to a nurse beside her and said, "Xiao Tang, go to my office and bring the box of silver needles and the alcohol lamp!"

Xiao Lin thought for a mont, then turned around, gently massaging a few acupoints on the student’s body. Her originally pale complexion seed to improve slightly, showing a hint of color.

Soon, the nurse nad Xiao Tang brought over a box of silver needles and an alcohol lamp. Xiao Lin opened the box, selected three silver needles each three inches long, then lit the alcohol lamp and sterilized the needles over it. Three seconds later, Xiao Lin swiftly inserted the three silver needles into the student’s head.

Seeing the three shining silver needles implanted in her head, the people nearby, including Dr. Li Jingyi, had their mouths hanging open in disbelief.

"Will this work?" Li Jingyi asked aloud.

Xiao Lin did not answer, his eyes focused on the student’s reaction. After more than ten seconds, she showed no response, causing Xiao Lin’s expression to grow serious. He retrieved another silver needle, this ti not burning it over the alcohol lamp, but dipping it in a bit of alcohol, then slowly inserted it into her neck’s acupoint, occasionally twisting the needle, observing the student’s reaction.

Five seconds later, the student’s eyelids and hands moved slightly. Only then did Xiao Lin slowly pull out the silver needle. Soon, the student woke up.

Xiao Lin secretly sighed with relief. The situation earlier was rather critical. If Dr. Li Jingyi had treated the student as just a case of severe heatstroke, she might not have survived, or at best been left in a bedridden state, potentially threatening her life.

The student’s condition was quite poor; she was suffering from chronic aplastic anemia, and if mishandled, it could directly lead to acute aplastic anemia.

Initially, Xiao Lin used traditional Chinese massage to relieve the student’s poor energy and blood circulation. He then discreetly infused a trace of True Qi to enhance her resilience before daring to stimulate her brain nerves with the silver needles, activating her body’s potential. Otherwise, given her condition, it was questionable if she could withstand it. The final needle, inserted slower to calm her energy and blood, facilitated her awakening.

These intricacies, Xiao Lin naturally wouldn’t explain to Dr. Li Jingyi. Even if he did, she wouldn’t be able to learn it. Turning back to the others, who all wore dumbfounded expressions, he smiled and said, "Alright, she’s fine now. First, prescribe so dication for anemia, then give her an IV drip. When she cos back tomorrow, I’ll prepare a prescription to slowly condition her health!"

"So cool, so cool!" thought the three young nurses and the two female classmates who ca along. Their astonishnt wasn’t solely due to Xiao Lin’s impressive dical skills—saving soone by inserting needles into their head—but since Xiao Lin’s arrival, they couldn’t take their eyes off him, utterly captivated, especially when he spoke with a smile now.

Dr. Li Jingyi’s admiration naturally focused more on Xiao Lin’s dical prowess. This should be acupuncture from traditional Chinese dicine. Though the university hospital had a departnt for it, the doctors there could only prescribe drugs for minor ailnts, lacking Xiao Lin’s extraordinary skill.

"Dr. Li, was this student’s heatstroke caused by anemia?" Dr. Li Jingyi asked.

"Yes, you could say that. However, after the heatstroke, she initially had chronic aplastic anemia. If mishandled, using regular heatstroke treatnts could easily lead to acute aplastic anemia!" Xiao Lin nodded.

Being a doctor, Li Jingyi naturally understood the difference between the two, breaking into a cold sweat. If it weren’t for the new supervisor’s arrival, it might have led to a significant dical incident with potential loss of life. Grateful to Xiao Lin, any previous apprehension had vanished.
