Chapter 40: The QQ Car Better than a BMW

"Is the Military Doctor still there? I have a favor to ask of you!"
"What is it?" Xiao Lin was puzzled. He wasn’t really familiar with the little sister, having only played a few gas with her. But from the way she talked, it seed like they were close friends.
"Military Doctor, my little turtle is sick. I heard your acupuncture skills are amazing, can you co help my turtle? Give it a few jabs!" The innocent little sister sent a crying, sad emoji. It seed she was quite caring.
But as for Xiao Lin, he could only smile wryly and say, "I may be a Military Doctor, but I’m not a vet! If your turtle is sick, you should see a vet!" After saying this, he quickly logged off QQ before the little sister could respond, fearing she might co up with another ridiculous request.

Xiao Lin pushed the door open and entered. Xia Xue had already taken a shower and was sitting in front of her computer. To Xiao Lin’s surprise and delight, Xia Xue was playing DOTA, and she seed to be pretty good. She had already destroyed all the opponent’s outer towers without losing any towers herself.
"I have sowhere to go, just letting you know. By the way, do you have any plans to go out?" Xiao Lin asked casually.
Xia Xue, eyes glued to the screen, replied, "Oh, you’re going out? I was also planning to head to North Alley after this ga!"
Xiao Lin observed the situation. Xia Xue’s team was dominating the opponent. They had wards all over the enemy’s jungle, ensuring anyone who ca out got caught. It seed like Xia Xue’s team would win in just a few minutes. Xiao Lin nodded and said, "I’ll wait for you!"
Xia Xue was indeed a pro. She turned a support hero into a damage dealer. After a triple kill, the enemy couldn’t hold the high ground anymore, and after the mid lane was pushed, soone on the opposing team started cursing their teammates in the public chat: "Afraid of god-like opponents, but more afraid of pig-like teammates!"
Xiao Lin deeply agreed with this sentint. DOTA is a five-person team ga. Having even one weak player makes it difficult to win unless the skill gap is massive.
"Do you play too?" Xia Xue noticed Xiao Lin intently watching her ga, looking like he understood it well.

They all sounded pretty cocky, but Xiao Lin thought they had every right to be arrogant, given their performance this ga.
Xia Xue not only played well but was also excellent at strategizing in DOTA. It was clear she was not only the leader of her team but also the tactical commander. Three minutes later, the remaining two lanes were flattened. Despite the opponent’s staunch resistance, it was no match for five fierce players turning a support hero into a damage dealer.
"I’ll pack up, wait for in the living room for a bit!" Xia Xue exited the ga and turned to Xiao Lin.
Xiao Lin felt a bit apprehensive. He often heard Hua Qingyi say that if won plan to go out, ninety-nine percent of them wouldn’t be ready in less than an hour or two. He checked the ti, hoping Xia Xue was in the one percent; otherwise, they were definitely going to be late.
Xiao Lin’s gamble paid off. Xia Xue indeed was one of that one percent. About five minutes later, a simply dressed Xia Xue ca out of her room in a light purple knee-length dress and her long black hair flowing down. Even with minimal makeup, Xia Xue was a sight to behold, and Xiao Lin found her more appealing than when she was heavily made up for work.
"Let’s go!" Xia Xue gave a heads-up to Xiao Lin, then hesitated and asked, "Oh, did you bring your wallet?"
"..." Xiao Lin felt a bit annoyed. Was it necessary to keep reminding him about not having his wallet when they checked into the hotel that night?
Seeing Xiao Lin’s awkward expression, a smile of amusent spread across Xia Xue’s face. Teasing Xiao Lin was indeed enjoyable.
"By the way, I don’t feel like driving today, shall we take your car?" Xia Xue asked as they walked.
"No problem!" A sudden smile appeared on Xiao Lin’s face. He wondered how Xia Xue would react to him driving a QQ car and how she would feel once she got inside.
Soon, the two of them were downstairs. Xiao Lin went to the faculty parking lot to get his car and drove up slowly. Xia Xue had seen the QQ car before and didn’t have much of a reaction. However, this ti, upon closer inspection, she found the QQ car quite cute, maybe due to seeing it through rose-colored glasses.
"Can’t afford a BMW, so I just drive a QQ car!" Xiao Lin said with a smile, lowering the window.
Xia Xue seed indifferent, her expression quite composed, which made Xiao Lin feel a little let down. Xiao Lin opened the passenger door for Xia Xue, and she got in directly.
Once inside, Xia Xue was taken aback. The interior of this QQ was incredibly luxurious. She had expected the seats of this tens-of-thousands-of-yuan QQ car to be similar to a taxi’s, not particularly high-end. Yet, the seats in this QQ felt more comfortable than the BMW Xiao Lin drove the previous night.
And when Xiao Lin started the car, Xia Xue didn’t hear the engine at all; the interior was completely silent. At this mont, Xiao Lin turned to Xia Xue with a smile and asked, "What song would you like to hear?"
