Urgent honking ca from behind, urging them to move quickly. Xiao Liu closed the window, maintaining a steady speed. Secretary Luo looked back, a car had dipped its nose into their lane, keeping just half a car length away.
The honking continued incessantly. Xiao Liu glanced at the small car beside him through the rearview mirror. "Secretary Luo, fasten your seatbelt." As he spoke, the car on the side swerved dramatically towards their left front, appearing as if it was attempting to rge into their lane.
The car Secretary Luo was in took a violent hit, its front veering inward, nearly crashing into the guardrail on the side. Xiao Liu lightly pressed the accelerator, using the burst of speed to realign the steering. Fortunately, there was still a long stretch ahead with no vehicles, preventing a collision.
"Are you okay, Secretary Luo?" Xiao Liu asked, looking back at Secretary Luo.
"I'm fine. Watch out behind!" The car that had previously ramd into them was back behind, charging straight at them, as Secretary Luo watched.
With a loud bang, it felt as if his entire body was about to be thrown into the air. The seatbelt held him firmly in place on the backseat, but his insides felt oddly disturbed from the impact, his chest tight. Before he could gather his thoughts, another collision ensued. It seed to Secretary Luo that their car was being pushed forward by the vehicle behind. He unbuckled the seatbelt and lay down in the back.
Due to the fog, he couldn't see who was behind the car. "Roll down the window."
"What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to lean out and blow out their tires."
