At this mont, Wang Xi felt a chill down his spine, who was this person nad Shuang Shuang? Her eyes stared at him relentlessly like eagle eyes.
"Wang Xi, prepare two packs of these cigarettes each day from now on."
"Yes!"
After dusk, the brick kiln factory stopped operations, and people in the factory were gradually driven out. Wang Xi went to the cafeteria with the crowd, but seeing the food, he completely lost his appetite. In the police station, Wang Xi had the best conditions.
His parents moved from the south to do business in the north, and he had a relative who was an official in Yanjing. Life was affluent, and he had never suffered much since he was a child. After dinner, it was free ti. The gate was closed, and there were two big wolves guarding the entrance. He felt like he was trapped in a concentration camp. The dormitory had all kinds of people in one group. Shuang Shuang lay sideways on the bed, holding a book, while the other four gathered together to play cards. There were no computers, no phones, and certainly no internet here. Wang Xi felt bored, so he put on his shoes and ran out the door.
Entering sumr, the night ca slowly, standing in the corridor, seeing nobody ca out behind him. After work, everyone took care of their own business, especially a newcor like him who was ignored.
Wang Xi glanced behind him a few tis, then casually walked downstairs to wander around the open ground. He was always looking for a way to the low house behind. Ji Weihua's car could be parked inside, indicating there must be a way in. He reached into his pocket and rembered he had given the cigarettes to Shuang Shuang. Helplessly, he sighed at the sky. Two packs a day, how was he supposed to get them?
The sky gradually darkened. Wang Xi turned over and over on the bed. The damn bed creaked with every move, forcing him to lie still, waiting for the people around to snore before he slightly adjusted his posture. Looking out from the window above, he wondered if the boss had arrived yet, but there was not a sound. If only he had the chance to get in behind.
Suddenly, a sound ca from under the bed, and Wang Xi shrank his head. He saw Shuang Shuang climb down from the bed. Wang Xi quickly closed his eyes, feeling his face getting closer.
Relax, relax! Wang Xi controlled his facial expression, and the gaze slowly moved away after lingering on his face for a long ti. He heard footsteps heading toward the door. Where was he going? At midnight?
After Shuang Shuang couldn't be seen by the window on the other side, Wang Xi jumped off bed, stealthily following him out.
In the open ground, Shuang Shuang wandered like a ghost. Looking down from upstairs, Wang Xi felt embraced by soone. Fearing to get too close, he retracted his body. Shuang Shuang, as if his back had eyes, looked toward the direction where Wang Xi stood just now. Leaning against the wall, gasping, Wang Xi touched his chest, feeling relieved for the narrow escape.
Shuang Shuang disappeared from the open ground. Wang Xi scurried around, searching but couldn't find his trace. The brick kiln factory wasn't that big; where could he have gone?
Forget it, Wang Xi directly ran toward the back of the office; opportunities didn't co often, he told himself. But even with an opportunity, he achieved nothing before a row of two-story buildings.
Wang Xi felt very conflicted now. How to climb over that building was a big project! He circled to where he went up the stairs before. Entering from the factory gate led to this building; its side almost touching the wall, maybe he could climb over from inside. Thinking this, he headed towards the gate.
The gate was tightly locked, with two dogs lying on the ground. Wang Xi moved slowly, inching towards the wall.
One dog lifted its head, growling softly. Wang Xi stopped, squatting, both hands supporting himself on the ground. The dog suddenly stood up, head shaking toward him. Sweat started to break out on Wang Xi's forehead as if caught. The dog began barking, the guard's light illuminated, casting a warm yellow that elongated the shadow, nearly reflecting on him.
Whatever! Wang Xi dashed to the side at top speed. The guardroom's door was opened, just as he was about to leap the wall, soone suddenly embraced him from behind, rolling him aside.
How did his heart skip a beat? Wang Xi couldn't say as he wanted to scream when soone embraced him at the waist. From the neck ca the breathing of a masculine scent, itching against the skin.
"Don't move!" The familiar voice echoed in Wang Xi's ears. He breathed heavily, swallowing his scared silica.
"Boss!"
Xiao Lin covered Wang Xi's mouth with one hand. The security guard already ca searching, flashlight shining toward where they hid.
"Damn it, ate the wrong dicine!" After a quick sweep, the guard cursed at the barking dogs; then ca the sound of the heavy door shutting.
"Boss, when did you co? How co I didn't see you?"
"You can't stay here any longer. Tomorrow, find a way out." Xiao Lin didn't explain much, his eyes locked onto the work area inside the brick kiln factory.
"I suspect Ji Weihua hid Yan Juanjuan behind that building!" Wang Xi pointed behind him. "Besides, this place is very weird, so I thought..."
"Don't think anything, this place is dangerous." Xiao Lin erged from the stairs, pointing to the factory area, speaking to Wang Xi. "This is not a simple brick kiln factory. Staying here easily gets you noticed."
"How do you know?" Wang Xi was shocked by Xiao Lin's words. He wasn't sure, but the boss spoke without hesitation.
"Just now, soone walked down where you ca from into the factory area and hasn't co out yet." Xiao Lin quietly entered the dark brick kiln factory, seeing soone wandering in the open ground, intending to find Wang Xi later, but didn't expect the person circled once and directly entered the pitch-black factory area.
