"I can't live as heartlessly as you do." After saying this, Xiao Lin stood up, turning his back to Xiao Zhenfeng so he couldn't see the strange smile on his face.
Mu Rongyun changed into his clothes and was the last one to co out. He put his glasses back on his nose, but as soon as he stepped out, he saw an unexpected person, and his eyes imdiately turned cold.
Xiao Lin quickly stepped forward, but Mu Rongyun blocked him, completely disregarding him, and rushed directly to Xiao Zhenfeng without saying a word.
This seed to be an unavoidable situation. Xiao Zhenfeng was right about one thing: he truly knew nothing about the past. Even though he knew the person in front of him was his own brother, he could only find a little life information about him.

"I won't allow you to raise a fist against him." Almost as if he had anticipated this, Xiao Zhenfeng stood up calmly, slowly separating the two young n locked in a stare.
"Xiao Lin, no matter how much you want to deny it, it won't work. You are destined to walk that path. Even if you despise my existence as your father, you'll always rember that I'm your father. Otherwise, you wouldn't have taken that punch for just now. Accept it! Since you say this person is yours, take good care of him. If he does anything to harm the Xiao Family, you'll be executed along with him. The Xiao Family can do without an inheritor like you, but it absolutely cannot have a traitor. If you want to change the family, wait until you sit in my position!"
A plane was parked outside the military district hospital, and Xiao Zhenfeng quickly jumped on it and flew away.
"I'm yours?" Mu Rongyun turned to Xiao Lin with a dangerous tone. Inside the operating room, they might be sothing, but once they stepped out of that door, they were nothing. Xiao Lin should understand this well, Mu Rongyun thought silently.
"Don't think you're safe now. Just because you're holding your current position doesn't an the old guys aren't aware of your existence." Xiao Lin stood outside the military district hospital and lit a cigarette.
"Should I be grateful to you?"
"I found out Fourth Master's location, but now they've probably withdrawn." Rather than aligning himself with the elders' thoughts, it seed this person's personality more closely resembled Xiao Zhenfeng's. Getting stuck on one problem is an highly irrational behavior.
"That old guy you just t, you left behind a golden opportunity. Are you out of your mind? There's a life on the line there." Mu Rongyun grabbed Xiao Lin's collar, his eyes blazing. "Do you rember what I told you last ti? Fifteen days, now there are only three days left."
"I know!" Xiao Lin didn't resist being grabbed by the collar; losing a chance to find Fourth Master was sothing he couldn't let go of either. But compared to Hua Qingyi, what mattered more was right in front of him. "Trust , Fourth Master won't easily give up on ."
What Xiao Lin said was true. Fourth Master's obsession was entirely linked to the peculiar blood in this person. Even if they didn't seek her out, she would appear in due ti. Otherwise, the chips in her hand would beco worthless. Losing a life ant nothing to Fourth Master, but gaining a formidable opponent was definitely a bad deal. At this mont, Fourth Master wouldn't establish more enemies like Mu Rongyun around him.
"You better rember!"
"Need to give you a ride?" Spotting Mu Rongyun disappearing into the whiteness of dawn, Xiao Lin finally realized it was the next morning. Exercises had already started outside the military district. Just walking through the district like that would certainly arouse suspicion. After considering it, Xiao Lin borrowed a car and caught up. "Get in, you won't get out like this."
Mu Rongyun glanced at Xiao Lin and hopped in. "I want to ask you sothing."

Unexpectedly, Mu Rongyun didn't imdiately answer this question, maintaining silence instead. Xiao Lin, wearing sunglasses, glanced at him. It was a good day, though sitting next to an ice block made it feel less hot.
"I think you should believe it." With a hint of talking to himself. "I've asked many people; they all think I'm crazy. But I really saw a dead person co back to life. Does the Mu Rongyun you know have such an ability to resurrect the dead?"
"There's no such thing as resurrection in this world; it's all nonsense." Xiao Lin was intriguingly watching Mu Rongyun's intense reaction. Words can be crafted, expressions can be disguised, but temperant doesn't change easily. Mu Rongyun was lying.
"Is that so? Then perhaps I really mistook it."
"If you encounter that Mu Rongyun, stay as far away as possible," Mu Rongyun added. Clearly, he didn't want to ntion this person any more. It was a natural repulsion.
"Ah, so you do care about ! That's rare. For you, I'll live well."
"Let off ahead." Mu Rongyun felt that if he stayed in the car with this person any longer, his brain would beco dull.
"Let's go see Wu Shuang together. I haven't seen her in a long ti."
"No need, I'll take care of it." Mu Rongyun promptly turned down Xiao Lin's request, looking at him cautiously.
"Haha, I have my own woman to protect, and so do you! Wu Shuang is a good woman, I won't let her just die like that." Xiao Lin felt his intentions were already laid bare, but the man in front of him still seed filled with hostility towards him. When did he inexplicably beco his romantic rival?
"She doesn't want to see you." Mu Rongyun awkwardly turned his head, a blush appearing behind his ears. Such innocence! Xiao Lin thought to himself.
"Is the situation really bad?"
"Not that bad, she can still manage normal life, it's just... her situation is mine to handle, it has nothing to do with you."
"Got it! Notify imdiately if there's any news from Fourth Master."
Xiao Lin turned onto the street leading to the Li City Police Departnt, heading towards the dark alleys. Since he was already here, he had to investigate Hua Muyun's issues.
"Hey!"
"Where are you?" A murky voice ca from the other end of the phone, long nasal sounds mixed with the whispers of a woman inquiring in the background.
"Boss?" Shou blinked and checked the ti on his phone. It was just past nine in the morning, not even noon yet. What was he up to so early?
"Wake up and get out of bed. I'm coming over to your place, don't let see any woman by your side."
"What?" Before Shou could ask anything, the call was abruptly cut off.
"Who was it?" The woman beside him was awakened by Shou's voice, unsatisfied as she reached to embrace him but was pushed away.
"You can leave now!" Wrapping his naked body in the bedsheet, feet on the carpet, eyes staring blankly at the waterwheel outside the floor-to-ceiling window. That was the boss just now, saying he was coming over? After getting himself fully awake, he realized the woman was still lingering in his bed.
"When I'm out, I want you gone. A check will be sent over, or do you want cash?" He glanced impatiently at the woman on the bed, Shou raked his hair that looked like a bird's nest.
"Yelü Shou!" The woman looked very young; her untouched, fair face was rather attractive. Yelü Shou was unmoved by such a pure face.
"What is it, Miss Ye Da, do you want to escort you out?"
"Yelü Shou, don't forget, I'm the daughter of the biggest gang in Yanjing..."
"I know, you've said that many tis, you're the daughter of the Yanjing's biggest gang leader Ye Taixiang, I got it, no need to remind repeatedly." He had no idea where the boss had called from; if he saw this ss, he'd surely flip out.
"Since you know, you should treat well. Small gangs like yours, I'd obliterate you without hesitation if I got annoyed."
"Oh, a small gang?" How grating does that sound? Is this woman too ignorant or does she overestimate her family's power? She seed like a spoiled little girl, wilful and arrogant. "Well, sorry then, Miss Ye Da, if you think I'm giving too little money, just consider your kept man, I'm fine with you giving money."
"Yelü Shou, what do you take for, you bastard!" A pillow flew at Shou's head.
"What do I take you for, a woman picked up at a bar?"
"You take for a hostess, you son of a bitch!" Another pillow narrowly missed Yelü Shou's head as the woman searched for more objects, when soone walked in from outside.
What's going on here? Xiao Lin saw Shou stark naked facing him, while the woman on the bed also stood naked facing Shou and attacking him. Despite there being floor-to-ceiling windows, the curtains happened not to be drawn, making the inside scene clearly visible from the outside.
"What are you doing?" A loud shout made the woman on the bed stop in her tracks, turning to see a handso man and letting out a piercing scream. (To be continued.
