Silhouettes quietly erged from the door, surprisingly without any guards or surveillance, feeling a complete freedom and harmony. After casting a glance inside, the figure closed the door and disappeared down the hallway.

In fact, when Arthur woke up, Charles was already awake. He opened his blue eyes, his youthful face showing a complex expression. Although Xiao Lin and Hua Qingyi spoke quite frankly, Charles knew that regardless of whether Arthur could return to Italy, the outco for him would be the sa.

The Godfather wouldn't plunge the entire mafia into an irreparable situation for a single person. Hua Muyun is a municipal party secretary, occupying a high-ranking position, and the reason it's not reported is sothing foreign people can't quite comprehend, as Xiao Lin said, they are a land of etiquette. In other words, beyond the etiquette lies the debate, and another possibility is that the bright facade might conceal a dark world, where behind the surface things might already be fists and kicks.

Charles turned over, turning his back to the door. In a mont of hesitation, he chose to avoid, as he usually did.

Upon leaving the hotel, pedestrians on the street hurriedly avoided the rush hour, yet there were still quite a few people present on the street, which was a comrcial area. Under the dazzling neon lights, the night's life began to decay. Not accustod to such prosperity, Arthur instinctively stepped back, feeling a bit disoriented and confused, but soon he habitually started walking to the left.

Today was originally the day Wang Zhantian promised to send him away. Haha! Arthur inexplicably started to laugh; the aning of sending soone on their way is always subtly expressed in eternal sleep.

The failure of the mission would not permit him the right to survive unless he relentlessly pursued the target to fulfill the employer's demands. Otherwise, he was just a failure. Arthur felt he was not rely a failure; he also exposed the employer and himself to the enemy.

Such an oversight he couldn't bla on the employer wanting to kill witnesses. If that were the case, he might continue the mission to the end, but he didn't think he needed to endure being manipulated right from the start; it was a matter of self-respect.

When he figured everything out, Arthur halted because there was always soone closely following him, and it certainly wasn't those people.

Intentionally heading to a footbridge, such structures could be seen a lot here, yet many people preferred to face the rushing traffic below rather than climb the steps for a few more paces.

The person behind followed him up the stairs, this ti walking faster to surpass him in front. As an assassin, Arthur could take him down as he passed by or take advantage of him having his back turned, but Arthur didn't. The one in front maintained a steady pace on the flat surface, standing still with unwavering capability.

"Sa thing, I won't take you to et the Godfather, and it seems you can't leave here now." Arthur stepped forward, realizing this person likely was Hong Lian, whom the others had ntioned, holding the power to influence half of the world's organized cri. The condition was to acquire the Dharma Seal; otherwise, even holding a staff would just be artistic decoration.

He thought he would catch up, but there was no sound of footsteps behind him, leading Arthur to feel that this race was one that leaned towards contemplation, often leaving others perplexed about their thoughts. However, given his upbringing, Arthur wouldn't speculate on their intentions.

The night was already deep, aimless yet orderly. After stealthily infiltrating a luxurious villa, Arthur beca even more rigorous and swift. The lights on the first floor glowed dimly in the darkness; the corridors remained lit for ergencies. Although there was surveillance, the defense asures seed more decorative and of little significance.

This was where many high-ranking officials resided, each villa independent and far apart, not worrying about exposure of privacy nor disturbances from outsiders. The entire villa complex was guarded by security and had comprehensive surveillance, but these facilities were useful only against petty thieves, journalists, or fans, and preventing soone like Arthur was child's play.

Tried to open the tightly closed window, finding it unmoving, Arthur glanced at the lit room above, then swiftly leapt up, landing near the window in a few bounds. There was nobody inside; only the faint sound of flowing water could be heard. Arthur quietly sneaked to the bathroom door, beneath the mist a naked form erged. Smirking, he sat gracefully on a wicker chair, casually flicking off the light.

As Wang Zhantian stepped out from the bathroom, he sensed sothing was amiss, rembering clearly the light was on. He wasn't one to prefer living in darkness, even during sleep keeping a small light on. At this mont, he sensed an intrusion.

Adjusting the belt around his waist, Wang Zhantian felt for the switch on the wall and tentatively called out the intruder's na. "Arthur?"

Hearing soone still recalled his na, Arthur snickered twice coldly, not stopping Wang Zhantian's actions. In an instant, the room lit up, and Wang Zhantian imdiately noticed Arthur seated on the wicker chair. Despite being ntally prepared, he couldn't help but shiver when faced with his cold, stark eyes.

"Never thought I would co, did you?"

"You could have at least contacted in advance; I would've prepared refreshnts for you." Wang Zhantian placed the towel down and poured a glass of wine for them at the bar. "You startled ."

"Mr. Wang has set things up quite intriguingly; who were those people?" In fact, he had always suspected those at the dock, appearing highly professional, even involving foreign nationals. "Since Mr. Wang has such capable hands, why bother with for these tasks?"

"It's still a misunderstanding." Wang Zhantian wasn't very concerned about the shootout at the dock, as if Arthur's words were just another person's experience, indifferent. "I do regret that incident; the person who found you wasn't but Yao Zheng, unfortunately, when you arrived he was already severely punished by the judicial authorities." (To be continued.
