When the room next to them finally quieted down, Qin Ruhai slowly straightened out his white robe and showed the couple to his office.
“So now he’s after the Gu’s family fortune?”
Gu Shishi did not use his name but both men knew who she was referring to.
Booted out by Mother Huo and his right to heir taken away from him, at least for the time being.
Huo Wencheng just turned around and worked with Gu Wushuang to take over Gu Jiangxin’s territory!
He threatened Gu Jiangxin to give up his control over his pany and even a large portion of the Gu’s fortune with the 10-year sentence. She wondered whether Gu Jiangxin would give in in the end.
“Who cares!”
Qin Ruhai waved his hand indifferently.

“It’s a dog-eat-dog world. We will just hang around and watch the drama unfold!”
Huo Sishen gave him a cold look.
Qin Ruhai felt a chill down his spine and chuckled. “Sister-in-law is a smart one. This Gu Wushuang is a ruthless one. Just ignore her and stay as far away from these people as you can.”
“Why didn’t that sound like a pliment to me?”
Gu Shishi hrumphed.
Huo Sishen, too, gave Qin Ruhai an unfriendly stare.
“Hey, now. I provided the location for you to listen to the information first hand. Why are you both staring at me?”
Qin Ruhai picked up his cellphone.
“Oh, right. Do you want the recording? How 1 million yuan sound? Send it to Madam Huo. Hahaha. Let her see how ruthless her future daughter-in-law is. See if she would still wele her into her family!”
Huo Sishen didn’t even so much as look at Qin Ruhai before he turned and started heading out with Gu Shishi in his arm.
Siyi, standing next to them, waved the recording pen that he was holding in his hand.
Gu Shishi smiled and said, “Dr. Qin, how does 3 million yuan sound? Do your VIP patients know that your sound proofing are non-existing?”
Qin Ruhai, “… …! Dam!”

The entire circle learned of all the stunts that Gu Jiangxin had pulled shortly.
Others merely heard about it in passing. The Zhang family, on the other hand, found out so much details that they were short of having the scene replayed in front of them.
Zhang Wen, Mother Gu, albeit having returned to capital city, rarely left the house.
Hearing this big news, however, had her forgotten about her own unhappiness immediately and started reaching to her old classmates and girlfriends and meeting up with them.
The fact that something bad had happened to Gu Jiangxin was all his own doing. That, however, gave her a glow and she seemed to have found her self-confidence again.
“There is a god after all. I have trusted him so all along but he was so cruel to me. It didn’t matter to him that we had been married to each other for dozens of years. He had betrayed me and lied to me. He deserves everything that happened to him right now. They are all payback!”
Mother Gu felt very ashamed of the fact that she was the one who asked for the divorce.
Now that Gu Jiangxin had fallen on luck, it was as though things were on her side. That fact that he was “being punished” was a statement that justice was on her side.
She was at menopause’s age. That, on top of being a kept woman her entire life, was a spoiled girl and a spoiled woman. In addition to that, being abandoned at her old age all contributed to her peculiar way of thinking and bizarre reasonings.
