But being a heavy truck driver and all that was sothing from Ryan's previous life.

In his previous life, after being maliciously frad by that damnable father and son duo, his first thought upon opening his eyes in this life was that he would never be a 'good person' looking forward again, because good people might not end up with good rewards in the end!

He wanted to be a bad person, a bad person who looked toward money!

While money couldn't solve all problems, it could solve 99% of them!

For example, his family's less-than-wealthy situation in this life.

Ryan pulled out a 'pocket change' check given by Kingpin from his coat and handed it to Ben Parker:

"I finished a project at Fisk Tower this month, and Mr. Wilson Fisk gave a hundred thousand dollar bonus. Take it and go replace that ancient clunker of yours."

Ben Parker didn't seem particularly surprised by Ryan suddenly producing such a large sum of money.

After all, Ryan was not only born with Herculean strength but was also a natural genius.

Not only had he consistently maintained the top rank in school since elentary school, but he had also skipped grades all the way, graduating from MIT at the age of 18!

That was only one year later than the World-famous Tony Stark, who graduated from MIT at 17.

Given Ryan's completely undisguised genius performance and early graduation, many large corporations naturally ca to recruit him.

Top groups like Osborn Enterprises, which had caused the death of Peter's parents, and Tony Stark's Stark Industries had all sent people to recruit Ryan.

But in the end, Ryan chose none of them, instead entering Fisk Tower, which was also among the top in New York City. He had been working there for two years now.

As for why he chose Fisk Enterprises, it probably goes without saying.

He was rely a na on the payroll at Kingpin's Fisk Enterprises; in reality, he hadn't worked a single day there!

And Kingpin not only had to pay him a salary but also had to pay him mission rewards.

With such a free job, why would he go to other companies to work like a beast of burden?

Did they really think he was a workplace masochist like Spider-Man or Superman?

In short, in the eyes of Ben Parker, the old father, his son was such a genius that it was perfectly normal for the boss to reward him with a handso bonus after completing a project at the company, right?

Furthermore, this wasn't the first ti Ryan had given money to the family.

Since Ryan started working at Fisk Enterprises, besides the monthly 'salary' of fifty thousand dollars he sent ho for living expenses... he would occasionally, like now, suddenly give the family a project bonus.

So Ben Parker didn't stand on ceremony and bluntly took the check Ryan handed over.

However, he didn't actually intend to use the money to buy a new car as Ryan said. Instead, he smiled and said:

"The usual rule: I'll save it for you to use when you get married and have kids later. As for my car, don't you worry about it; I can't bear to part with my old partner!"

Ryan's lip twitched. "Didn't I say? Don't worry about my future; I have plenty of private savings..."

That was certainly true.

In the work he'd done in the underworld over these years, although not every mission paid a massive reward of over ten million dollars like this gang wipeout, his savings had already surpassed a hundred million.

Even if he retired early now, as long as he didn't touch gambling or drugs, that money would be enough for him to live a lavish life forever.

At that mont, May, carrying a plate of cookies, tapped Ryan on the head and lectured, "Ryan, that's no way to talk!"

"Young people like you are used to spending lavishly. How would you know how much money is needed to get married, have children, buy a house, and a car? We're saving it for you now so you can have an easier ti later!"

Ryan helplessly covered his face. His old man and mom were great in every way—kind-hearted, not old-fashioned, and supportive of whatever he liked since he was a child.

But just like millions of parents in Asia, they were always reluctant to spend on themselves and were always thinking of their son.

Clearly, the money he brought ho every month was enough for Ben and May to stop working hard and enjoy retirent early.

Yet the two of them still honestly worked jobs that paid less than the spare change he sent ho, never touching a cent of the money Ryan gave them, saving it all for him... Forget it, Ryan had grown used to his parents' simple and honest nature over these twenty years.

He wouldn't let the old man make the decision himself; he would just go and pick up a car for him tomorrow.

He had done plenty of 'act first, explain later' things in the past two years, which was why his mother, May, said he was used to spending lavishly.

In this house, besides the house itself that Ben and May had worked for, Ryan had gradually replaced almost all the appliances, furniture, and supplies with top-of-the-line versions.

After humoring his nagging parents, Ryan pulled out a kraft paper envelope from his coat and placed it in Peter's hand.

He smiled and said, "Here, this month's pocket money~"

Peter, who had been watching Ryan's harmonious family scene with envy, blushed and scratched his head sheepishly:

"Cousin, I haven't even finished spending the pocket money you gave last month. You don't need to give any this month. Besides, I'm grown up now; I can work a part-ti job to earn money..."

Before Ryan could speak, May beat him to it, stuffing the envelope into Peter's pocket and starting to lecture him too:

"If your cousin gives it to you, take it. You're graduating and going to college this year; you need to focus on your studies. What's this about a part-ti job? You're not allowed to go!"

Ben chid in from the side, "That's right, Peter. Now is not the ti for you to be earning money, but the ti to be spending it!"

"And don't I rember that you like the daughter of the Doctor next door, Philip Watson—Mary Jane Watson?"

"You can't chase a girl these days without so money in your hand, so just accept it since your cousin is giving it to you!"

Being teased by May and Ben, especially since Uncle Ben had sohow found out his secret crush on Mary Jane, Peter—who was already socially awkward before becoming Spider-Man—was now so embarrassed he almost buried his face in his chest.

When Ryan heard the na Mary Jane, he was stunned and looked at Ben in confusion: "Mary Jane Watson? Aren't the Warrens our neighbors?"

Ben smiled and shook his head. "You've been leaving early and coming back late for your company project lately, so you might not know. the Warrens and their daughter moved to Connecticut at the end of last month. the Watsons are the new neighbors!"

"And our Peter fell in love with the Watsons' eldest daughter at first sight!"

Ryan nodded in understanding upon hearing this.

It seed that even in this Universe, Peter couldn't avoid eting his destined Mary Jane... Ryan looked at Peter, whose face was as red as a monkey's butt, took the cookie plate from May's hand, and patted Peter on the shoulder:

"Co on, Peter. Accompany upstairs to play so gas and relax for a bit."

"Okay! I'll help you carry the cookies up first!" Peter, who had been dying to escape the scene, quickly took the out Ryan offered him.

After snatching the cookie plate, he dashed upstairs like a spider with its tail on fire.

Ryan shook his head helplessly at Ben and May, the two 'old treasures' who enjoyed teasing Peter, and followed him upstairs.

He wondered if it was because his presence had changed things, but while the Ben and May of this Universe were as kind as those in the movies, they seed to lack that layer of indelible sadness and instead possessed a few more streaks of joyful color.
