Those two voices were indeed those of his current body’s parents and the brothers he recognized from this body’s village, along with so uncles and aunts who had perished in a disaster, their cries now emanating as spirits.

Since transmigrating, Jiang Tang had only visited the village once to pay respects to his parents.

He had not paid respects to the villagers and was unaware of how many had died.

After his parents’ death, they had not appeared in his dreams.

Why were their cries, sounding so vivid and close, coming from not far outside his space at this particular mont?

Jiang Tang had yet to understand this issue.

“Daddy, you’re awake?

Boo-hoo, Daddy, you finally woke up.”

Eryao rushed over joyfully and then seed on the verge of tears, choking up with emotion.

“Eryao, thank you.

Not bad at all, you’ve advanced a level.”

Jiang Tang looked at his pet with grateful eyes and spoke words of praise.

“Hehe, Daddy, I’m just glad you’re awake now, Eryao was scared.” Eryao ran over and hugged Jiang Tang, tears streaming down his face.

“Moo.”

Little Blue Ox also ran over and circled around Jiang Tang.

“Little Blue Ox, you’ve done well too; you’ve grown and advanced to the third stage.”

Little Blue Ox, receiving praise, jumped around even more joyously.

“By the way, Eryao, where are we?

Why did you use a spell just now?”

Jiang Tang had listened to Eryao talking to himself before, hearing only a few sentences and still unaware of the environnt outside.

“Daddy, we sohow fell into a space, and this space is very strange.

During the day, there is a red moon, but at night there is a kind of suction force.

I’ve tested it; the red moon during the day strengthens the demonic beasts’ cultivation of spiritual energy, and at night when the suction force appears, the demonic beasts hide, and that’s when the ghosts erge.”

Jiang Tang nodded as he listened, feeling that they had fallen into a space that could be a secret realm or an ancient magical treasure, just like his Primordial Treasure Lingtian Space.

Dayti is the best ti for people to be active, and the nightti is the best for the ghosts, a principle that exists in the mortal realm.

But what was with the red moon?

It wasn’t like what he’d seen in a movie from his previous life, was it?

That would be terrifying, as isn’t the red moon what ghosts prefer?

Why is there a suction force in the space?

Jiang Tang listened but could not co to an understanding.

However, he wanted to go out and see for himself and learn why there were calls from relatives.

Could the ghosts in the space include his parents and villagers’ relatives?

The thought unsettled Jiang Tang.

Although he had no emotional attachnt to the parents and relatives of this body, they were, after all, connected to it, and he could not ignore their suffering.

The cries for help from his relatives he heard earlier suggested that they were ordinary people.

Hadn’t he heard in his previous life that ordinary people could be reincarnated?

Before transmigrating to this world, he, a young man, would also read so transmigration novels, especially those about cultivation, and was quite keen on watching cultivators slowly reach enlightennt and ascend to the Immortal Realm.

With a golden finger, it was easy to beco a great power holder.

He had received the golden finger of the Primordial Treasure Lingtian Space himself, but it didn’t seem quite so easy.

His spiritual root was too poor.

While thinking this, Jiang Tang examined his body and made a surprising discovery.

His Mixed Spiritual Roots, perhaps with the help of many resources in the space, had transford into Twin Spiritual Roots, wood, and ice.

No wonder he had advanced three levels in one go during his last advancent, almost reaching the Foundation Establishnt Stage.

With such a level of cultivation, he would surely beco a disciple of the Outer Sect if he returned to the Immortal Sect.

But such thoughts were futile now, as he didn’t know how to leave the space.

Thinking this, Jiang Tang wondered if he had any way to resist the suction force but still decided to venture out; he had just discovered how powerful Eryao’s Thunder Roar and Dragon Breath Fire were.

He had to bring Eryao with him on this venture.

Jiang Tang felt the two types of Spiritual Fire within him had recovered.

Still, not knowing whether there were more formidable beings here, he could not show his treasures; he had paid the price for that mistake in the past, nearly losing his life.

“Eryao, accompany to go out and see, can you counteract the suction force?”

“Daddy, you want to go out?”

“Yes, I have so matters to attend to.” Jiang Tang did not tell Eryao about the ghostly matters of his relatives, still uncertain if they were indeed them, and it was better not to say.

“Daddy, there’s a preventative asure—I can create a circle of light, and the suction force outside won’t affect us in it.”

Eryao was very confident in his mana; being a descendant of the Ancient Snow Dragon, creating a secure circle of light for them was a sure thing.

It just couldn’t rip through space to another realm at its current level of cultivation.

If it had such cultivation, they wouldn’t need to worry about how to leave this controlled space.

“Great, let’s go venture out.”

Jiang Tang, accompanied by Eryao, went out.

“Moo…”

Little Blue Ox let out a feeble moo, feeling a bit useless as the master didn’t need it anymore.

Jiang Tang left to have fun without it, even though it could serve as a steed.

Although it wasn’t a horse, it could be used like one.

“Little Blue Ox, you wait here, we’ll be back soon.

Master, I still need to ride you soon, but do you run as fast as a horse?”

Jiang Tang could understand Little Blue Ox’s calls as its master.

“Heh heh, Little Blue Ox wants to follow us?

Think about it, you’re an ox not a horse.

Can an ox ridden as a horse run fast?

Last ti we went out, I was the one protecting you.

Why go out if you need my protection?”

Eryao mocked with a burst of laughter.

“Moo…”

Left with no choice, Little Blue Ox lowered its head and silently ate the grass, deciding to act like a pig this ti and not help out its master with chores.

As soon as Jiang Tang and Eryao left, they imdiately felt a pulling force in space; a suction strong enough to pull him away.

He used Ice and Wood spells to resist this force.

Jiang Tang spread out a seed, which he turned into a large tree planted in the middle of space.

Holding on to the tree trunk, he then cast an Ice spell, and the grey earth turned into ice in an instant.

This space originally did not have distinct seasons; the air was neither hot nor cold, and all four seasons were like spring.

The sudden cold seed to pause the space montarily, reducing the suction force.

The Golden Core Elder was in deep ditation, constantly weaving spiritual energy, chanting curses on the altar, and casting spells.

Unmoving, he chanted the curses, controlling the Ghost Cultivators and causing turmoil inside the space.

What the Golden Core Elder needed were the spirits strong enough to dominate the Hell Palace space, to absorb the souls of the demonic beasts within the Magical Treasure and turn them all into puppets at his command.

“Ma Li Ma Li Ma Li Ma Li Hong…”

The previous sounds of Thunder Roar and the flas had almost destroyed the Hell Palace, and now he needed to replenish the Spiritual Energy of the palace again.

Huang Chen and his fellow disciples, inside the Soul Summoning Bell, heard the Elder’s chanting of curses.

Their souls were slightly controlled and were continuously being repaired.

In these few days, the Golden Core Elder had cast spells on them, and their souls had cultivated into the Gathering Spirit, advancing towards the higher realm of Spirit Awakening.

The Golden Core Elder practiced the spells for a while, then took a break to consu a few Pills, to restore his Spiritual Energy.

He also consud Bigu Pills and ditated to cultivate, casting spells without pause, causing his Spiritual Power to deplete continuously.

If he hadn’t promised to send his disciples to the Hell Palace to perform the spells for forty-nine days, he would have preferred to be a bit lazy.

However, for his grand ambition of dominance, and in order to beco a feared demon in the Cultivation World, he had to work diligently.

The Golden Core Elder did not rely wish to serve as an Elder in the modest Mount Tai Sect, living a life of obscurity.

He was born into an ordinary farming family, where he grew up with poor food and drink.

Then, a group of bandits invaded the village, murdering and plundering, leaving many villagers dead.

At that ti, he was very young, playing hide-and-seek with his siblings, hidden in the bushes.

He witnessed the brutal invaders enter their village, killing the villagers, including so of his playmates.

He even saw his own parents and siblings getting killed, their screams as the knives cut through their flesh, blood soaking the ground.

Wide-eyed with terror, he wanted to rush to their aid upon hearing their cries for help,

but he trembled in the bushes, covering his mouth with his hands to keep his own screams silent as he shook and wept silently.

After what felt like an eternity, the village grew quiet.

He carefully crawled out of the bushes, only to be greeted by the horrifying sight before him.

His family lay lifeless on the ground.

He scread, urging them to co back to life, but no matter how much he cried out, there was no response.

The small village ran with blood; from over a hundred people, only he remained.

He was but a child, not knowing how to cook or care for himself.

The thieves had plundered all the food and livestock.

Hungry and with nothing to eat, he had to dig up sweet potatoes in the fields for sustenance.

His little hands were bloodied from the digging, tears streaming down as he sobbed, maybe over a few small sweet potatoes.

Two days passed like this, and with the hot weather, the bodies on the ground began to reek.

The stench carried far and finally attracted soone from afar, curious about the source of the foul sll.

The newcors, upon seeing so many dead, realized a mass murder had taken place, and soone alerted the Governntal Authorities to investigate.

The officials, while conducting their inquiry, found the vulnerable boy.

They asked him who he was, who could have killed so many.

No one would suspect a child of being capable of slaying so many, of wielding a large knife.

The wounds on the dead were from a saber.

His eyes filled with hatred, he told the Governntal Authorities that thieves had raided the village and killed everyone.

When asked what the thieves looked like, he could not describe them, only knew they were vicious, and would kill without blinking.

Being just a child, he couldn’t draw their likenesses, but he rembered one of them with a large mole on his face, a bearded burly man.

The Governntal Authorities took the child’s description of the man, sketched a portrait, and set out to apprehend the culprits.
