Although it was just a small change, every little bit counted. A condition like a herniated disc required careful maintenance.

J Kidd grunted in acknowledgnt, but his mind wasn’t on what kind of bed he was sleeping on at all.

Leaving the psychologist’s office, J Kidd saw Dudley, who hadn’t left yet. He grabbed him and said mysteriously, "Chris, Chen just told that practicing that Tiger Play is good for... you know."

"Really?" Dudley’s eyes instantly lit up.

J Kidd nodded with an air of great seriousness. "Don’t tell anyone else," he said. "Chen told this in secret."

Dudley gave him a ’don’t-worry-I-won’t’ look. But as soon as J Kidd left, he imdiately sent a text to Rodney Rogers, a player he was close with.

「That afternoon.」

When Chen Yu arrived at the arena again, he was surprised to find J Kidd and the others ticulously practicing the Tiger Play during their pre-ga warm-up.

"Nelson, what are they doing? Did you arrange this?" Chen Yu asked, puzzled.

Nelson quickly shook his head to deny it.

Chen Yu found it a little strange but didn’t overthink it. ’The routine is basically like a fitness exercise,’ he thought. ’There’s no harm in them practicing it more.’

Just then, Nelson sidled up to him and asked in a low voice, "Chen, for this Five Animals Qigong you’re teaching, is it enough to just get the movents right, or are there other requirents?"

"There are," Chen Yu said with a nod, pointing to his own abdon. "Actually, when practicing the Five Animals Qigong, you should also coordinate it with your breathing. The effects will be much better that way."

"Oh?"

Nelson’s eyes glead as he eagerly asked about the breathing technique, especially for the Tiger Play.

"Take the Tiger’s Pounce, for example." Not thinking much of it, Chen Yu began explaining the breathing thod to Nelson.

He had already planned to teach them how to combine the movents with their breathing once they had mastered the forms.

"For instance, when you pounce downward, you need to exhale sharply, like a tiger roaring as it leaps. You might not be used to it at first, so you’ll need to adapt and practice a lot."

Since there was still ti, Chen Yu decided to explain a bit more, moving on to the breathing thods for the other animal plays.

But unexpectedly, Nelson said, "Chen, let’s stick with the Tiger Play for now. I haven’t learned it yet."

Chen Yu gave Nelson a strange look.

’Is this guy hiding sothing from ?’

Connecting this with the group of guys diligently practicing the Tiger Play, a thought struck Chen Yu. He asked in disbelief, "Don’t tell you guys actually think the Tiger Play can... enhance *that* particular ability?"

’That has to be it,’ he thought. ’Otherwise, why would these guys suddenly be so interested in the Tiger Play?’

n will be n, after all.

Nelson looked completely embarrassed. Seeing that Chen Yu wasn’t angry, he asked tentatively, "So... were you just ssing with Jason?"

Chen Yu didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He shook his head. "Not at all. Practicing the Tiger Play more often does help in that regard. But wait... do you guys actually have problems in that departnt?"

’They’re all professional athletes with incredible stamina,’ he mused. ’How could they have worries like that?’

’And if they really had a problem, wouldn’t they just take a pill? Isn’t that more effective than practicing the Five Animals Qigong?’

Nelson imdiately denied it with a serious expression. "Of course *I* don’t have a problem. But like you said, a little extra practice can only be a good thing, right?"

He had, however, confird one thing: practicing it really worked.

"Whatever you guys want," Chen Yu said, not bothering to say more. ’At least it won’t cause any harm.’

「That night, the Phoenix Suns won the ga.」

to 80.

Skiles was in such a good mood he started humming a tune.

Before the ga, the Jazz had 37 wins, four more than the Suns. Beating the Jazz spoke volus.

For one, by increasing the intensity of their training, the Suns’ defense had clearly improved.

A big reason the Jazz lost today was that Ma Long had an off night under Robinson’s defense, making only 8 of his 29 shots.

He was the core of the Jazz; with him playing poorly, it would have been hard for them *not* to lose.

Then there was J Kidd. Before the ga, Skiles had actually been quite worried about his condition.

Unexpectedly, he played the entire ga without showing any signs of discomfort, even putting up a near triple-double with 9 points, 12 assists, and 8 rebounds.

His shooting was just terrible, though—2 for 8. Skiles was speechless. He knew for a fact that J Kidd had been practicing his shot constantly.

Most importantly, the Suns had done it all without Hardaway.

Skiles couldn’t help but start looking forward to next season. When Hardaway returned, the Suns might actually have a shot at the championship.

「Community Service Day.」

Except for a few players with prior commitnts, the entire team showed up, heading to the Badina Sanatorium on the outskirts of the city.

The main event of the day was still the free clinic.

But before the clinic began, Chen Yu planned to take so ti to teach the elderly residents the Five Animals Qigong.

The sanatorium had 182 residents. Excluding those who were bedridden or in wheelchairs, there were still 116 people.

’If I teach them once, I can get a round of experience points. Why wouldn’t I do it?’

However, to Chen Yu’s surprise, when everyone gathered on the lawn, only a dozen or so elderly residents showed up.

There was a much larger crowd watching from a distance, a sea of at least sixty or seventy people.

A supervisor from the sanatorium explained awkwardly, "Sorry, Dr. Chen. We sent out a notice, but this is everyone who was willing to co."

From the small group, an old man in a plaid shirt and a cowboy hat shouted, "Hey, kid! What exactly do you want us to do? Hurry it up, I’ve got a date later."

"Yeah, don’t waste our ti. We’re busy people."

"You kids should just go clean the place up or sothing. This is all just for show anyway."

The small crowd was a cacophony of voices, everyone chiming in with sothing to say.

Clearly, this group of seniors couldn’t care less about NBA stars.

When many of them were born, the NBA didn’t even exist yet.

Seeing how few people there were, Brian whispered, "Chen, maybe we should just start the free clinic?"

The demand for dical consultations was, after all, quite high.

But Chen Yu was reluctant to give up on those experience points. An idea suddenly sparked in his mind.

Taking the microphone, Chen Yu announced, "Could I have everyone’s attention, please? I’m going to teach you all a set of exercises. They’re very beneficial for your health—for example, they can improve your cardiopulmonary function and boost your immune system. They can even benefit your kidneys and... certain other abilities."

That ntion of "certain other abilities" instantly grabbed the attention of many of the n.

Two old n who had been about to sneak away quietly shuffled back into place.

"You sure about that, kid?" the old cowboy from before asked loudly.

Chen Yu nodded. "Of course. If you practice it long-term, you will see the effects I ntioned."

’This doesn’t count as boasting or false advertising, right?’

The old cowboy imdiately stopped asking questions and urged Chen Yu to get started.

From the crowd of onlookers in the distance, people imdiately started walking over.

Chen Yu even saw one elderly man who, trembling, slowly pushed himself up from his wheelchair.
