Chen Yu subconsciously glanced at Guardiola’s knee. ’Who is he talking about?’

"The cruciate ligant is manageable. Whether it’s repair, an autograft, or an artificial tendon, there are many options. But the niscus..."

Chen Yu grimaced. "I’ve read so papers discussing the possibility of allogeneic niscus transplants, but that would create a lot of rejection issues. So, with the niscus, it’s best not to remove it if you can avoid it."

A tear is fine. The tissue is still there.

Especially now that he’d discovered the system’s amazing effects, he was confident he could repair it even if it tore again.

But if it’s removed, that’s really the end of it. There’s no getting it back.

"Who are you talking about?" Chen Yu asked.

Guardiola shook his head and quickly said, "No one."

With that, he raised his glass and wished Chen Yu a safe trip.

"Thanks."

Chen Yu clinked glasses with him.

This trip to France wasn’t a total waste. At least he’d made a friend.

He returned the sa way he ca.

This ti, however, Chen Yu took advantage of his layover to make a brief stop in Paris, managing to at least get a souvenir photo at the Eiffel Tower.

If he really ca all the way to France without even seeing Paris, Lexi would definitely laugh at him when he got back.

「Phoenix.」

Chen Yu didn’t notify the team to send a car to pick him up. He just hailed a cab to his hotel.

’I can’t keep living in hotels like this,’ he thought. ’I should probably rent a place.’

Chen Yu had been in France for six days and had no idea what had been happening in the United States. He grabbed a copy of *The Arizona Republic* on his way out of the airport.

In the taxi, Chen Yu flipped through the newspaper.

The J Kidd business hadn’t blown over yet. The second page of the paper was all about the discussion surrounding him.

That’s how Chen Yu learned that J Kidd had already made a public apology.

But it seed the dia wasn’t buying it—or rather, the local won’s organizations weren’t—and they were still denouncing J Kidd as a dostic abuser.

’These people are really relentless.’

He turned to the sports section.

To Chen Yu’s surprise, the Phoenix Suns had actually won that ga against the Supersonics.

J Kidd might have really taken his words to heart. Although he still didn’t score much, he put up a triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists.

With him running the offense, five players on the Phoenix Suns scored in double digits, and they beat the Supersonics 89-80.

Next, they played the Golden State Warriors, a weaker team in the West.

That ga was much easier. A heroic J Kidd once again put up a near triple-double with 12 points, 11 assists, and 9 rebounds.

’He’s on his way to becoming a triple-double machine.’

His scoring just wasn’t high. He really couldn’t shoot.

And now, the team was on the road. The Phoenix Suns were about to start their longest road trip of the season, a six-ga stretch.

Yesterday, in their first away ga against the Carl Malone-led Jazz, they lost by five points, but J Kidd once again delivered a triple-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists.

With a performance like that, even though he was still embroiled in the dostic abuse scandal, the dia couldn’t help but praise him, saying he was in incredible form.

Chen Yu thought for a mont, then gave Nelson a call.

"Chen, are you back in Phoenix?"

"Yeah," Chen Yu nodded, then asked about J Kidd.

At the ntion of J Kidd, Nelson’s voice filled with astonishnt. "Chen, what on earth did you talk to Jason about? You have no idea, he’s been training incredibly hard these past few days. After every ga, he even stays late to practice 100 shots. That was unimaginable before."

Chen Yu understood. He said, "We didn’t talk about much. How about this: gather so of the positive comnts about him from the newspapers, show them to him, and tell him that things are starting to look up."

Nelson agreed. These past few days, J Kidd had been like a different person, training like a madman. It got to the point where Nelson was worried sothing was wrong with him and made a point to talk to him, only to find out that Chen Yu had already spoken with him twice. Moreover, J Kidd said that after talking with Chen Yu, he felt great and now knew what he needed to do.

Nelson was stunned. In the past, J Kidd’s attitude toward training was decent, but he had never been this diligent.

It could be said that it was all because of Chen Yu.

Nelson was even wondering what kind of magic Chen Yu had used on J Kidd to make him change like this.

After hanging up, the taxi arrived at the hotel.

After getting over his jet lag, Chen Yu still headed to the hospital early the next day.

The team didn’t need him to travel with them, so he could rest for a few days.

’No, that won’t work either.’

There was also work at the health managent departnt, and the clinic. While he was in France, Calva had contacted him to say he’d found a great location and wanted Chen Yu to check it out after he got back.

In the hospital room, Hardaway’s knee was still immobilized in a brace as he watched TV.

Chen Yu glanced over and saw it was a report about the Magic.

On the screen, Hill was at the elbow, doing a series of between-the-legs dribbles. He suddenly exploded forward, blowing past Ira Newble in a single step and driving straight to the basket.

However, Duncan was already waiting for him up ahead, ready and waiting.

Hill changed direction and drove toward the baseline, but just as he was about to jump, he pulled his arm back and slipped the ball under Duncan’s armpit.

On the other side, Tracy McGrady had already cut in from the baseline, catching the ball for a tomahawk slam dunk.

After landing, the two excitedly bumped shoulders in celebration.

It appeared to be a program on TNT Television, where a bald Barkley was animatedly exclaiming: "See that? This kid is too good! He’s already averaging 25.4 points per ga. Scoring 30-plus is as easy as breathing for him."

"You could say the Most Improved Player of the season is already decided—it’s Tracy McGrady. And don’t forget, the Magic also have one of the best small forwards in the league. Hill, since his return, has been in ridiculously good shape, like he was never injured at all."

"They actually beat the Spurs by 11 points! That’s just incredible. I’ll say it right now: the tides are turning in the East."

"In the first half of the season, the Magic went through a lot. They changed head coaches, Hill got injured, and they lost a lot of gas because of it. But with Hill back, they’re still a playoff-caliber team, and they might even have a chance to go even further."

He spoke with wild excitent.

Hardaway saw Chen Yu and said in surprise, "Didn’t you say you wouldn’t be back for another week?"

Chen Yu sat down and first glanced at Hardaway’s knee.

The drilled fibula was already slowly growing a thin layer of repair tissue.

The ligant and niscus were also visibly recovering.

"Things didn’t go so smoothly, so I ca back early," Chen Yu said as he sat down, flipping through Hardaway’s dication records.

Hardaway asked, puzzled, "What happened? Did the player not want to accept your treatnt?"

Hardaway only knew that Chen Yu had gone to Europe to diagnose a player, but Chen Yu hadn’t said who it was specifically.

"Not exactly," Chen Yu shook his head and briefly explained the situation.

Hardaway understood and snorted. "Well, his agent sounds like a real asshole. By the way, did you just leave like that? What if he doesn’t contact you?"

Chen Yu said casually, "If he doesn’t, he doesn’t."

But after saying that, Chen Yu paused, then added, "But I think he will contact ."

He loved soccer so much. If one day he had to drag an injured leg onto the field, never again able to run like his forr healthy self, that, in Chen Yu’s view, would be the greatest torture for a top-tier star.
