Ah-Ye declared, “Madam ordered you to kneel throughout the night as a punishment for your negligence. Is this how you regard Madam’s mands? You don’t seem to take Madam seriously at all.”
“I-I’m wounded, and it’s cold here. I dozed off because I wasn’t vigilant. Please have mercy…”
Qiu He knew that her wound must have reopened. Even if it was just a superficial wound, she couldn’t predict how many days of torment lay ahead.
Nevertheless, she was the one at fault and couldn’t afford to challenge Ah-Ye in any way. All she could do was admit her mistake.

Ah-Ye uttered, “Madam expects you to return to your mistress. She anticipated your dishonesty and instructed you not to apply any more medicine or to take any. Kneel obediently in the carriage. If you defy her once more, I’ll shatter your legs.”
Qiu He was stunned, her scalp prickling in apprehension.
If Ah-Ye stated that he would break her leg, he would undoubtedly follow through with it. He wasn’t one to be careless in his threats.

Qiu He hobbled toward the carriage, feeling miserable. Each step she took was filled with excruciating pain. She privately cursed Ah-Ye for being exceedingly ruthless. In her current condition, she couldn’t help but wonder how long it would take her to recover.
Upon her return to the carriage, she was surprised to see two maidservants attending to Qiao Wei. Frowning, she said, “Our Miss doesn’t need you to serve her. Please!”
The two maidservants exchanged glances but remained unmoved.
“Madam Shao instructed us to be here.”
“Yes, Madam Shao emphasized that we must not leave without her consent.”
Qiu He seethed and glanced at Qiao Wei.
Qiao Wei furrowed her brows slightly but said nothing.
Qiu He was clearly limping and in no condition to take care of herself. Her leg had yet to heal!
Bearing her anger, Qiu He eventually climbed into the carriage, her wounds screaming with pain. She allowed the two maidservants to help her, but they paid her no mind. Instead, they confidently stated, “Madam Shao sent us here to look after Miss Qiao!”
They were not here to serve her.
Qiu He was seething with fury.
Early in the morning, everyone continued their journey at a slow pace.
Regardless of Qiu He’s pleas for assistance, the two maidservants paid her no heed. Instead, they began to supervise her, insisting that she kneel and accept her punishment.
Qiu He: “…”
She finally prehended how Qiao Wei had felt when Qiao Xuan had constantly scolded her. It was deeply frustrating, but she had no choice but to endure it.
Qiu He responded indifferently, feigning as though they no longer existed.
It was just kneeling, after all. She would endure it.
She knelt for a prolonged period. Having endured the torment outside throughout the night, she had caught a cold and suffered the effects of Ah-Ye’s kicks. Her external injuries were substantial.
