After finding Mantis, Quicksilver was ready to take them away from this place.
“Should we just leave like this?” Luci asked confusedly. Quicksilver looked at Luci without any answer as his heart was also conflicted by the scene. He knew that the three of them had already retired from hero duty, and thus, they shouldn’t appear in public to cause trouble. Wanda and Dio even told them not to cause any trouble when leaving the island!
Pietro knew he had to keep a low profile out here as no one should know who they were. But seeing the monster begin to burn the fairground made him reluctant to leave without dealing with the issue.
“Maybe we can rescue those who are dying without revealing ourselves?” Mantis said innocently. She stretched her hand, and Pietro began to feel the emotion she felt from the fairground. He felt that two students were trapped inside the amusement park near the Fire Monster, calling for help desperately.
At the same time, he also felt many people were desperate to escape the fairground as they sensed their lives were in danger.
Pietro looked at Luci and sighed helplessly. Today was supposed to be the day he confessed his love to the beautiful alien, but it turned out to be a mess!
“You two stay here, I will save everyone that I can save! We mustn’t expose ourselves to the public as we don’t know what our action may bring to the retired Avengers.” Pietro said solemnly.
Mantis and Luci just nodded their heads and let Pietro save the civilians as they knew that Pietro’s power would be the best for the matter.
“Help us!” Ned and his girlfriend, Betty, shouted as they were trapped inside the Ferris Wheel. Ned knew that Peter was nearby, and that was why he shouted for his friend to save him. Peter would surely rescue them and take them to safety right away. Meanwhile, Betty was pale as she was horrified.
At this moment, Mysterio descended from the sky and discharged a thick green fog, trying to curb the Fire Monster from burning everything down. Then Peter finally arrived at the scene with his Black Suit and threw a massive boulder towards the Fire Monster to lure the Fire Monster away from the civilians.
Obviously, both of them failed to notice Ned and Betty’s distress on top of the Ferris Wheel. As the explosion shook the Ferris Wheel, Ned and Betty were falling from their pound.
Peter finally noticed Ned and Betty’s screams, and he hesitated as he didn’t know what to do first.
“Ned! Betty! Hang on!” Peter shouted as both of them were hanging on the iron bar around the wheel to keep themselves from falling to the ground. Peter himself was confused as Ned and Betty were supposed to be watching an Opera in the theater right now, but why were they there?
Peter anxiously swung around the building, trying to reach Ned and Betty while dodging the Fire Monster altogether. But he couldn’t get closer as the Fire Monster seemed to be attacking him away from Betty and Ned.
At this critical moment, Ned and Betty, who were about to fall to the ground, suddenly disappeared!
Peter was surprised and shocked to see his friend suddenly disappear like that and slammed his fist to the wall frustratedly.
Still, he knew it was better for Ned and Betty to disappear than to be killed on the spot. The frustrated Peter wrapped his webbing to a fire hydrant and pulled it hard, causing a huge amount of water to gush out of the pipe and spray the Fire Monster.
Meanwhile, Ned and Betty were taken to a safe place. Pietro originally wanted to disappear immediately after rescuing the students, but he couldn’t help but make his remark. “Hey, fat ass! You should lose some weight! You almost killed me there!” Pietro said annoyedly.
Pietro then immediately disappeared and reappeared again with new civilians in his hands. Clearly, he tried to rescue everyone trapped on the fairground himself! Ned and Betty glanced at each other confusedly as they couldn’t seem to figure out what was happening right now.
The two of them clearly were supposed to fall to their death, but they appeared somewhere safe as soon as they opened their eyes.
“We are saved!” Betty shouted as she held Ned in her arms.
“If I guessed it right, the one who saved us just now is one of the former Avengers, the brother of the Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver!” Ned said as he tried to calm himself down. Ned had many information regarding the Old Avengers as he got a lot of inside information from Peter. Of course, that also included Dio, the spiritual leader of the Avengers and also known as the God of Death!
The information that Ned had was top-secret information that didn’t circulate freely in the outside world, and most people didn’t even have the slightest clue that this information existed. This knowledge gave Ned a natural sense of superiority whenever he saw the discussion regarding the Avengers on the internet.
So, when thinking about speed, Ned immediately remembered Peter accidentally shared the information regarding several Avengers, and one of them was the hero that could move at a speed of light, couldn’t be seen with the naked eye, Quicksilver himself!
“You are great, baby!” Betty excitedly said as she hugged Ned adoringly.
“I actually know a lot about the Avengers, and I will tell you about them one by one later!” Ned said as his lust started to take over.
“Baby, you are too nice! But I am still scared, can you protect me forever?” Betty said with a cute look on her face. Ned looked at Betty’s cuteness and couldn’t help but shudder as his lust really started to take over.
“Of course, it is my obligation to protect you with my life!” Ned said as he tried to pose like a gentleman.
“Yeah, right!” Pietro said as he heard what the two lovey-dovey couple were saying to each other. Pietro wanted to shout in annoyance as he failed to confess his own feeling to Luci.
Pietro would never admit it, but he was clearly jealous of what Ned had with Betty as he wanted it himself from Luci. So, Pietro suddenly thought of a bitter plan to separate Betty and Ned for tonight. Pietro wouldn’t be able to separate them pletely, but at the very least, it should ruin their plan for tonight!
So, Pietro quickly sped up, and as Ned was immersed with endless excitement with Betty, he suddenly disappeared, leaving Betty alone!
Betty was confused as he tried to look for Ned that suddenly disappeared to no avail.
At the same time, Ned suddenly found himself standing by the dock. He looked around and started to scream in anger as he was frustrated for being separated from Betty at such moment.
“Damn it! HELP ME!” Ned screamed from the top of his lungs.
