The ice slides down the mudflat easily, but getting back up from the river is quite difficult.

The three abandoned the ice block, stumbling towards the riverbank, while Qu Jianlei dispersed the ice block.

After reaching the shore, Qu Jianlei maintained the intensity of the rainfall.

After nearly twenty minutes, the bone-chilling cold in the river had dissipated mostly, and he began to slowly withdraw.

But the downpour in this area doesn’t just stop instantly, providing the three with the opportunity to delve deeper into the forest.

However, after only a few steps, a bolt of lightning pierced through the rain curtain, followed by roaring thunder.

"Starting to thunder now?" The three were collectively astonished; it’s rare for thunder to start when the rain is halfway through.

Qu Jianlei’s eyes lit up, pondering as he asked, "Youyou, if the surveillance line was struck and broken, would they rush to repair it?"

"Everything’s wireless," Youyou answered confidently. "Unless a major transmitter was struck and broken."

"If a major transmitter is broken, will they definitely rush to repair?" Qu Jianlei confird again.

"I’m certain of this," Youyou replied without hesitation.

"A few broken surveillance units occasionally wouldn’t matter, no need to repair in the rain, but when a large area has issues, repair would be prompt."

Their contingency plan included options for breaking a few surveillance units, but now directly striking a transmitter was stepping things up.

Xiao Moshan didn’t want to cause trouble, "Jianlei, we’ve already crossed the river, why bother with this? The priority is to get farther away before they notice."

"I was thinking of mobilizing them," Qu Jianlei replied seriously, "Create an opening, enabling us to advance faster."

"Makes sense," Youyou’s eyes lit up upon hearing this, "I support you, cutting a path would improve our situation substantially."

"I support this too," Xiao Moshan, once understanding, was willing as well.

Youyou was exceptionally familiar with the base’s situation. After a brief thought, she pinpointed the most suitable target for an attack.

The target was fairly distant, about five kiloters away. "Can you hit it?"

Qu Jianlei concentrated his perception intensely. "Almost, I’ll give it a try."

What he didn’t know was, precisely as he concentrated to perceive the target, an alarm sounded in one of the base’s monitor rooms.

"Warning, warning... detected abnormal magnetic field fluctuations, detected abnormal magnetic field fluctuations."

Unfortunately, this alert was sowhat in vain.

A young man in uniform approached, glanced at the monitor, shook his head slightly, and muttered, "Thunderstorm area, isn’t this normal?"

Qu Jianlei perceived the transmitter’s location, nodding slightly. "This distance... is manageable."

This is possible because he advanced to A-level; if he were still B-level, this would be quite difficult.

There was not only the issue of distance but also electromagnetic interference from the thunderstorm.

Moreover, he couldn’t use Thunder Dragon this ti, only Thunder Strike Skill, especially with the transmitter being equipped with grounding protection.

Only output that is sufficiently powerful can disregard lightning protection and instantaneously destroy the transmitter.

Yet he truly managed to do it; as soon as he activated Thunder Strike Skill, he urged the two, "Hurry up, follow ."

Soon, a hovercar flew in from a distance, brushing past the treetops, heading straight for the transmitter.

It must be admitted that this rain ca too tily, not only concealing Qu Jianlei and the group’s traces but also enhancing their travel efficiency.

By the next day of the rainstorm, the trio had reached the base’s outskirts.

The base was a circular structure, resembling Blue Star’s Hakka tulou from the outside.

The entire base area wasn’t large, slightly more than two square kiloters.

The outer wall wasn’t very high, appearing to be slightly over twenty ters, grayish-black in color, with shooting ports at the top covered with panels.

However, the outer wall’s surface was smooth, with a bit of matte grayish darkness, a low-profile luxurious visual effect, technologically advanced.

They arrived just at dawn.

Qu Jianlei was staring at the scene in front of him, while Youyou asked Xiao Moshan, "Do you have a high-level access password?"

Xiao Moshan hesitated before nodding, "I do, but now is the ti for tightest security; let’s wait to enter at night."

Youyou gave him a look, "What era are your rules from? Now is actually the loosest ti, at night it’s stricter."

Xiao Moshan was stunned by her words, "Even the pattern has changed... What’s going on with the base?"

After a brief glance at Qu Jianlei, Youyou hesitated before responding, "There have been several sudden deaths recently, feels like unusual causes."

"What the...," Xiao Moshan murmured quietly, "The base is in such chaos now?"

"The base has encountered a small issue," Youyou sighed lightly, "I have so clues, but can’t share them with you."

Hearing this, Xiao Moshan flipped his eyes speechlessly.

Qu Jianlei observed, finding it amusing; Xiao Moshan continually had the attitude of "I have secrets, but won’t divulge them." Now he faced the sa treatnt.

Xiao Moshan didn’t notice Qu Jianlei’s reaction, as he pondered, "Are you certain entering now is a better option?"

"I’m also a fugitive, okay?" Youyou rolled her eyes. "Even if I might trick you, I wouldn’t trick myself, right?"

As comrades who have been through life and death together, these words carried a lot of weight. She was clearly displeased.

"Alright then," Xiao Moshan is fundantally a straightforward person. "Wait here, I’m going to open the door!"

His body floated and darted to a wall engraved with patterns, raising his hand to swiftly slap it dozens of tis.

The speed of these slaps was incredibly fast, like a butterfly flitting through flowers, very dizzying.

But Qu Jianlei could see it clearly, even noticing that Xiao Moshan’s hand shapes changed several tis.

Ordinary people couldn’t detect it, but not only did he process information quickly, he also cultivated Spiritual Attribute Techniques.

After Xiao Moshan finished a series of hand gestures, the wall suddenly released a wave—essentially of a spiritual nature.

Monitoring systems had already detected this anomaly, and surveillance towers began to turn towards this location.

But following this wave, the surveillance towers slowly turned back around.

Xiao Moshan waved towards Qu Jianlei’s direction, "Quick, co over!"

The two flashed over and saw the wall making a slight wriggling motion, and a door actually appeared.

Light of unknown origin filtered through the door, not very bright but illuminating the whole passage clearly.

"Quick, we only have 7.2 seconds," Xiao Moshan urged before darting forward without looking back.

Qu Jianlei swept Youyou up with a flick of his hand and sprinted forward desperately, "Are there any twists and turns... no traps, right?"

"None," Youyou answered while leaning on Qu Jianlei, speaking leisurely, "This is the highest authority."

Xiao Moshan being a traitor of the gorge, yet having the highest authority of the base? Qu Jianlei felt his brain was a bit overwheld.

A little over three seconds later, their eyes brightened, and at the end of the passage was a small garden.

Coming towards them was the fresh air with a hint of earthiness, and looking up at the sky, fine raindrops fell.

Taking a deep breath of air, Youyou spoke incredulously, "Have we... entered the base?"

The sky was dimly lit, and with rain falling, no one was moving in the small garden.

Xiao Moshan casually handed over a piece of paper, pointing on it, "We’ve arrived here."

"The garden beside the Cardinal’s Room?" Youyou frowned, exclaiming softly, "Mo Huaitian, what is your security level?"

"Shut up!" Xiao Moshan sternly reprimanded, "Do you have the guard duties schedule...?"

"Got it!" Youyou responded without hesitation, but then hesitantly added, "But the schedule... is probably outdated."

"That’s so nerve," Xiao Moshan helplessly patted his head, "Let’s find a place to hide until night."

The base seed sizeable, but there weren’t many people. In full count, there shouldn’t be more than seven thousand.

With more than three thousand belonging to the combat team, it truly was a sparsely populated large area.

This small garden, apart from a few surveillance caras, had nothing else. It could be said Xiao Moshan knew how to pick a location.

Or perhaps this passage was well designed.

To the three, hiding was no longer a big deal, Youyou directly hung a few vines on the wall, "Get inside!"

Inside the vines was absolutely safe, as unexpected Wood Attribute fluctuations in this small garden were not surprising.

After entering the vines, surprising Xiao Moshan first looked at Qu Jianlei, "Jianlei, did you see my hand gestures clearly?"

Qu Jianlei thought for a mont then slowly nodded, "I saw them clearly, but so hand shapes... I don’t quite understand."

"Understanding them is useless," Xiao Moshan comnted leisurely, "When I imposed my hand gestures, I provided a DNA imprint."

"Besides DNA, maybe iris... do you understand?"

He really understood, Qu Jianlei felt a bit speechless, iris... Blue Star’s technology isn’t as backward as you think.

After thinking for a mont, he asked in a low voice, "Then why did you ask if I saw clearly... what does it an?"

Xiao Moshan pondered then answered, "My authority allows to temporarily assign you a sub-number."

"Sub-number..." Qu Jianlei mulled over before understanding, "So it’s a small number?"

"Small number?" Xiao Moshan was slightly taken aback, then nodded, "More or less, do you want it?"

"Hold on," Qu Jianlei gathered his thoughts, "With this authority, why didn’t you use it before?"

"Why would I use it?" Xiao Moshan asked, puzzled, "Co back and wait to be caught?"

"If it weren’t for you advancing to A-level, I still wouldn’t use it. Now with you back, there’s at least an opportunity to escape if discovered."

He didn’t ntion one thing, that one A-level alone isn’t actually enough.

The key is that Qu Jianlei is an Attributeless A-level, having mastered various Techniques.

Only like this can Xiao Moshan ensure to co and go silently.

Otherwise, facing this giant base, rely one A-level wouldn’t suffice to handle all possible contingencies.
