Qu Jianlei’s conditions were confidently put forward, and the Mu siblings agreed without hesitation.

Since they decided to leave, they suggested that they do so overnight because the campfire Qu Jianlei started was sowhat conspicuous.

The Blazing Fire Pioneer Team could find them, and surely the Star Thieves would too. It would be better to leave quietly while they could.

Qu Jianlei didn’t refuse and directly packed up the tent, kitchenware, weapons, ammunition, and everything else into a large bag.

This bag was two ters long and had a diater exceeding seventy centiters, which Qu Jianlei carried horizontally on his back.

Additionally, he held an entrenching tool and a single soldier machine gun, with two binoculars hanging in front of his chest and a sniper rifle and a long blade on his back.

Looking at this ard-to-the-teeth guy, anyone would think this person is not to be ssed with.

"An alloy backpack, almost brand new," Mu Huahua looked at his backpack, feeling a bit envious, "must have a lot of money."

"What are you talking about," Qu Jianlei shook his head helplessly, not intending to flaunt his wealth.

"You manage to run a Pioneer Team, yet you think a lone impoverished person like has money?"

Mu Huahua sighed, "What good is money? We’re on an alien planet; distant water can’t quench imdiate thirst."

The group sped forward in the dark, and Qu Jianlei noticed there was soone specifically responsible for erasing their tracks.

The Blazing Fire camp was over thirty kiloters away from where Qu Jianlei had pitched his tent.

However, about twenty kiloters out, there were hidden sentries already in place, and a returning group had even swapped out for them.

So it’s not surprising they discovered Qu Jianlei so quickly.

When they reached the camp, Qu Jianlei finally understood why they didn’t feel this place was worth keeping secret.

The camp was built halfway up the mountain, very rudintary, with only so fences erected as walls and so stone piles.

Accommodation conditions were also very basic, just half-dug pits with stones piled on top and wooden roofs erected.

Seeing this gave Qu Jianlei a sense of being back at the Wasteland Gathering Area’s outdoor camps.

However, what kind of strength did the survivors of the Wasteland have? And what strength do these Pioneer Teams have now?

Several Ultimate Warriors could create such a camp in less than a day if they lend a hand.

Therefore, this camp served a temporary purpose, to be abandoned at any mont.

As for the Pioneer Team’s resources, Qu Jianlei believed there wouldn’t be much here, surely hidden in secret camps.

Nearby were a few well-hidden watchtowers, which indeed revealed combat vibes different from the Wasteland.

By the ti everyone arrived at the camp, it was almost dawn, and Mu Huahua offered her dwelling place to Qu Jianlei.

However, Qu Jianlei wasn’t inclined to take a woman’s residence; he suggested building one himself, which wouldn’t take much ti.

In the end, Mu Huahua left to wake up an Earth Attribute C-level Warrior, asking him to build a residence.

This warrior, still half-asleep, started busy yawning, without a hint of complaint.

This alone showed that the Mu siblings had a knack for managing the Pioneer Team.

After about twenty minutes of work, a shallow pit was dug and stones stacked; the warrior yawned, turned, and went back to sleep.

Qu Jianlei wasn’t in a hurry to construct the roof, as the weather wasn’t cold; he could wait until daylight.

He perceived the camp’s situation, noting there were about more than four hundred people.

Among them were thirty Ultimate Warriors, more than three hundred Modified Warriors, and the rest were ordinary people.

With such combat power, and coupled with weapons, they could challenge the Central City’s Inspection Bureau—if Wei Wushuang didn’t intervene.

Unaware, night turned to day, and Mu Guoguo found a Wood Attribute Warrior to help build the roof.

Once the roof was built, Qu Jianlei entered to sleep without hesitation.

His heart wasn’t that big; he wanted to show that he had no reservations about the Pioneer Team.

If anybody believed he was in deep sleep and attempted anything, the outco would be ugly.

Qu Jianlei woke up at noon; Mu Guoguo was also awake—reaching B-level ant a few days and nights without sleep wasn’t a big deal.

Others in the camp already heard that their leader had brought back a B-level Electromagnetic Attribute Warrior.

It’s not that they didn’t want to keep it secret for Qu Jianlei; it’s just that there weren’t any good news lately, morale was quite low.

And this news was truly uplifting.

However, Qu Jianlei sensed two C-level Warriors harboring faint hostility towards him.

One had a Gold Attribute, and the other possessed a rarer Wind Attribute.

Qu Jianlei wasn’t interested in greeting others, not out of arrogance, but because he’s just not good at it.

Nonetheless, he ntally noted these two, planning to observe them more closely.

Due to his "cold aloofness," most hadn’t yet openly accepted his presence, mostly keeping a respectful distance.

Except for one ordinary person, who had quite a conversation with him—a maintenance master in the Pioneer Team.

In the Pioneer Team, there must be a maintenance master, but among the Modified and Ultimate Warriors, few understood maintenance.

Blazing Fire is quite decent, with three warriors capable of doing repairs, but specialized maintenance masters still need to be found among ordinary people.

The Blazing Fire Pioneer Team originally had five ordinary maintenance masters.

Two people’s terms ended and they returned to their ho planet, but the replacents hadn’t arrived yet when the Star Thieves attacked the control center.

Of the remaining three, one died, and the other was disabled—in battles, ordinary people are too easily injured.

This one called Ah Hu is the only intact maintenance master.

Mu Guoguo hopes he can pass on so repair techniques, and Ah Hu doesn’t refuse.

But the three warriors are not very interested in learning skills—anyway, we’ll just take on any heavy work, we don’t want to learn anymore.

In the end, the team’s morale has been worn down significantly, and everyone’s thinking about how to survive.

Ah Hu was quite frustrated until he accidentally discovered that Qu Jianlei’s backpack seed to have a propulsion device.

This propulsion device was sothing Qu Jianlei had conceived back in the Hongyi Residence Area.

Later, he perfected the design in his spare ti and made a few himself.

Qu Jianlei had very poor security feeling, creating this thing purely for ergencies, just in case.

This ti, while sneaking from the base, he specially brought one, although an A-level already can fly, but... better safe than sorry, right?

The workmanship of the flying backpack is fairly okay, as Qu Jianlei always pays attention to quality control.

However, in the eyes of a maintenance master, if you can’t distinguish between handmade and assembly line production, how can you call yourself a professional?

Ah Hu asked rather rashly to see the propulsion device, and Qu Jianlei, not being a hoarder, obliged his wish.

After seeing it, the two naturally started discussing aspects of propulsion design.

Ah Hu’s maintenance skills are top-notch, but as a professional hired by the Pioneer Team, his level primarily shows in application.

In terms of manufacturing, he’s not bad either, but when it cos to design, he’s relatively lacking.

And Qu Jianlei is just the opposite, he has so unique ideas in design, but his hands-on ability for specific repairs is average.

The two had a very congenial chat because they could complent each other’s strengths.

Onlookers were quite puzzled by this scene, shouldn’t warriors with electromagnetic attributes be learning chanical repair?

However, the Mu family siblings were very happy when they heard about it, electromagnetic attributes combined with repair expertise, it’s excellent!

Mu Guoguo even sat beside them and listened carefully for a while.

Unfortunately, in the end, he had to leave reluctantly—he truly couldn’t understand it.

Qu Jianlei wasn’t only soone who discussed technology; as evening approached, he took out so dried at to treat Ah Hu.

The dried at he brought was not ordinary but made from the at of mutant beasts.

So he only gave Ah Hu a small pinch—after all, Ah Hu was just an ordinary person.

The main dish of this al was also a substance similar to flour, and the Pioneer Team had a dedicated chef who actually made noodles.

The seasoning wasn’t bad, it just lacked a bit of oiliness, and the flour was tough and hard to chew, with a coarse grain that was a bit throat-scratching.

Ah Hu ate with great enjoynt, and he rated the dried at very highly.

Qu Jianlei took the opportunity to ask, "Now that the Pioneer Team lacks energy and power, can’t you find alternative energy sources?"

Ah Hu was a bit puzzled, "Alternative energy... which kind do you an? Surely not firewood?"

Qu Jianlei casually replied, "The calorific value of firewood is quite low, I admit, but it can be converted into electricity..."

He didn’t know how this Imperial civilization referred to devices like "firewood engine," but he understood the principles and described them in general terms.

Ah Hu understood, but his expression seed odd.

"Using it like this is certainly possible, but the smoke can’t be blocked, and there may be noise and electromagnetic fluctuations... easy to detect."

"Okay, I didn’t think it all through," Qu Jianlei finally realized how dire the Pioneer Team’s situation was.

So he followed up, "I’m not very clear on the current situation, can you briefly introduce Zarif’s current state?"

Ah Hu was absent-minded for a while, then suddenly spoke, "A hydraulic generator, can you make it?"

"What?" Qu Jianlei frowned, "You an the power generation thod using water to impact blades?"

He truly couldn’t figure it out, how difficult is a hydraulic generator, you guys hail from the Imperial after all.

"That’s right, that kind," Ah Hu nodded, looking at him with hope, "Can you make it?"

Qu Jianlei suddenly was at a loss for words, he finally realized that these people had beco accustod to using convenient energy sources!

They really might not know how to use local materials to create relatively primitive equipnt.

The Pioneer Team mbers mainly focus on adventure and combat, busy with training, where’s the ti to learn these skills?

These skills should be mastered by the ordinary technical staff accompanying the team.

However, looking at Ah Hu, you can tell, he excels more in maintenance applications.
