Qu Jianlei responded this way; it was a helpless choice, and he didn’t think he could definitely fool the other party.

He wanted to slip away by himself, which wasn’t too difficult, but taking these two severely injured A-levels with him was like dreaming.

To his surprise, this Supre was actually easy to talk to and didn’t even put much thought into this matter.

However, when the other party let him leave, he instead felt a bit at a loss on how to proceed.

He couldn’t just take people out of the control area in front of the Supre, right? No matter how unconcerned, how could the Supre simply ignore it?

Just as he was hesitating, Fangcao whispered, "Go to Pioneering Road No. 8, there is a car there."

Pioneering Road No. 8? Qu Jianlei thought for a mont and replied, "This road to the Prisoner of War Camp is a bit of a detour."

"Go through Iron Alley," Hongyun said weakly, "the alleyway there has collapsed, just enough to make a turn."

Is that possible? Under the Supre’s watchful eyes, Qu Jianlei didn’t dare to use his perception to sense the road conditions.

The key is the range is quite large. If it were a bit smaller, it wouldn’t matter to him, but Iron Alley is narrow yet long.

So, he had no choice but to trust these two.

The Supre noticed him heading into a narrow alley, was slightly surprised, but didn’t pay much attention.

That road indeed was blocked, but at most, it was just a detour, and his mind was entirely elsewhere.

The collapse of the relay tower was the biggest issue, and he understood the opponent’s intent very well.

The existence of the signal tower was just a node in interstellar communications.

Theoretically, destroying one signal tower wouldn’t affect interstellar communications, unless in an exceptionally weak network area.

But a problem with the relay tower would definitely catch the Imperial’s attention—if a node was broken, surely it needed repair, right?

Considering that this node was on the Pioneer Planet, and no one had been in or out for several years, how could the Imperial not take it seriously?

While the Supre was troubled, Qu Jianlei had already brought Hongyun and Fangcao to Pioneering Road No. 8.

This too was a small courtyard, without concealing his figure, Qu Jianlei entered directly.

There was an off-road vehicle parked in the yard; Qu Jianlei placed the two in the car, drove out of the yard, and headed out of the core area.

Fangcao and Hongyun exchanged glances, neither said anything, but in their hearts, they couldn’t help but wonder: Is this really working?

As it turned out, it was really working.

The Supre might have noticed Qu Jianlei putting them in the car, or perhaps he didn’t.

But with the two severely injured A-levels out of sight, he didn’t worry anymore—presumably, they were being taken to the Prisoner of War Camp, right?

Qu Jianlei didn’t dare to perceive too far, though he could sense a bit of the Supre’s attention on him.

Mixing in with the crowd was nothing new for him; he planned to take a risk to see if he could succeed.

Normally, he wouldn’t be bold to this extent, but now... wasn’t there no other way?

Leaving the core area went unusually smoothly, as the appearance of the Supre prompted a full withdrawal by the outer Pioneers.

It’s not that they didn’t want to help their people, but... it was useless!

Honestly, if they tried to forcibly rescue, it might distract those A-level powerhouses and place them at a disadvantage.

To avoid dragging their own powerhouses down, they had to choose to leave; the battlefield was never a place for soft-heartedness.

The Pioneers had planned beforehand what to do if defeated—preserving the living force was also crucial.

Everyone had prepared in advance, so the retreat was very orderly.

As the Pioneer Team retreated, the Star Thieves would naturally pursue.

Because the battle in the control center wasn’t over, the Star Thieves dared not make large-scale pursuits—maintaining the safety of their lair was their first priority.

Even so, the Star Thieves’ chas and vehicles occasionally moved outward.

The number of pursuing teams wasn’t large, but it kept increasing—they couldn’t just let people go.

So Star Thieves, in their eagerness to chase, instead fell into ambushes, which heightened their vigilance.

Qu Jianlei, under such circumstances, drove out of the core area.

Thankfully, the Supre’s attention was no longer on him, and the journey was perilous yet safe.

Having nervously left the core area, a squad of Star Thieves tried to requisition his vehicle.

But Qu Jianlei stuck his head out and fiercely cursed, "Get lost, damn it, I don’t know you at all!"

At this mont, the drawback of the Star Thieves being territorially divided beca apparent.

Star Thieves within their area were familiar with each other, and outsiders might look familiar, but no one dared say an unfamiliar face wasn’t a Star Thief.

If it were within the core, Star Thieves on their own turf had the right to check outsiders, but now they were already out of the core area.

In this process, Qu Jianlei applied a certain amount of spiritual influence, which played a part.

Though he was rcilessly scolding, the Star Thieves opposite still felt "this person seems familiar."

Ultimately, only one A-level Star Thief ca out, with the rest being no higher than B-level, making it hard to resist A-level’s spiritual hints.

Hongyun and Fangcao were wide-eyed: Did he just curse his way through the entire road?

After leaving the core area for around twenty kiloters, no Star Thieves were accompanying the car anymore.

Qu Jianlei simply turned off the headlights and continued driving.

After driving for about five more kiloters, Fangcao spoke up, "Contact the United Command and report our position to avoid accidental friendly fire."

How could there be accidental friendly fire? Qu Jianlei knew very well that there were neither Pioneers nor Star Thieves around.

As he drove, he clutched a B-level Crystal for Rejuvenating Qi, "What if the United Command’s radio falls into the hands of Star Thieves?"

"That’s impossible," Fangcao answered without hesitation, "We have a series of protocols; the radio wouldn’t be captured intact."

"I don’t trust it," Qu Jianlei replied just as straightforwardly, can protocols really guarantee nothing goes wrong?

"Either you two get out of the car now, or you listen to , and I promise to get you both out of here."

Fangcao wanted to say sothing, but Hongyun raised a hand to stop her, giving her a look.

As expected of an A-level, even with legs missing below the thigh, she remained clear-headed, "Listen to Black Heaven, haven’t you noticed how smoothly we got out?"

Fangcao knew too; their escape was smooth, but she just felt that Black Heaven was simply lucky to succeed by taking risks.

She moved her lips, wanting to ask, but in the end, said nothing.

Instead, Hongyun continued speaking, "Did you just blow up the relay signal tower?"

"It was a collaboration between and Spirit Fox," Qu Jianlei said steadily as he drove, "and also with Pan Yifu... I’m completely exhausted now."

After confirming, Hongyun finally let out a long sigh of relief, "Luckily, this night wasn’t a waste."

Then he squinted his eyes and spoke again, "That thing in your hand... is it a Mutant Beast Crystal?"

Qu Jianlei had already hidden the Mutant Beast Crystal well, yet the other party could still sense it; his skills were indeed high.

"Mm," he humd lightly, changing the subject, "It’s rare for Lady Fangcao to get a vehicle there."

"Used a trump card hidden at the bottom of the box," Fangcao replied nonchalantly.

The next mont, she let out a soft groan of pain, but her tone remained unfazed, "If not used this ti, it might never be needed in the future."

Qu Jianlei thought it over, and it made sense. If he managed to reach 13 Triumph Street alone, how hard could it be for her to get a vehicle?

After all, Black Rain was a Celestial Level Team, and they’d been operating in Zarif for so long; it would be strange if they didn’t have such resources.

As they chatted, the vehicle covered another ten kiloters or so until they reached the security zone.

Only then did Qu Jianlei speak again, "It’s ti to get out; how should we handle this vehicle?"

"Don’t worry about it," Fangcao answered in a steady voice, "destroying it is fine... getting it out here ans there are no loose ends."

Though she said that, Qu Jianlei knew well that nothing in this world is foolproof.

So he stopped the vehicle, moved the two of them a kiloter away, then returned and took out a Hand Cannon, firing three shots at the SUV.

The SUV was well-armored, but the power of the Hand Cannon was significant, especially since it was aid precisely at one spot.

With a booming sound, the SUV exploded and started to burn fiercely.

Qu Jianlei swiftly appeared beside Fangcao and Hongyun, and the three of them vanished into the night.

Once in the security zone, there were many places to hide, but he considered the Supre presence among Star Thieves and continued running with them.

He vividly recalled that when the giant Supre reached Central City, it found all the Fallen within several hundred kiloters in a single day.

So he ran with the two of them for about fifty kiloters until dawn broke, finally setting them down.

Though Hongyun was physically strong, both his legs were halved, and the blood loss had nearly claid half his life.

His face was as white as paper, yet he remained very conscious, "How’s Spirit Fox?"

"I don’t know," Qu Jianlei replied casually, "When we left, both of us were... utterly exhausted."

"And... Pan Yifu?"

"I don’t know," Qu Jianlei replied just as decisively, but upon thinking about it, he realized it wasn’t polite to be so blunt.

"At that ti, he was already captured by the Star Thieves, I was simply too powerless to rescue."

Who do you think you’re fooling? Hongyun knew too well, thinking to himself, if you could save , why not him?

However, he didn’t pursue the matter but asked another question, "What about Baldy the captain?"

"He ran away," Qu Jianlei frowned, "as soon as the relay tower collapsed, he fled, and I took advantage of the chaos to rescue you two."

He was speaking the truth; without the tower’s collapse, he wouldn’t have dared to go in to save them... his body had suffered too much.

But to Hongyun and Fangcao’s ears, it didn’t sound quite right.

Baldy ran out of fear, and yet you ran in to save us?

That’s how it happened, but they couldn’t help but feel uneasy listening.

Fangcao had always asked Black Heaven for help in various ways; this ti, she was genuinely embarrassed to open her mouth again.

However, it was Hongyun who spoke, "Black Heaven, can you check on how Baldy is doing?"

Qu Jianlei thought it over and replied, "It’s daylight now, not very convenient, let’s wait until night."

Hongyun was quite certain, "The tower has collapsed; as long as the Supre doesn’t act, there’s little difference between day and night."

(Update until now, just twenty-seven hours left, asking for double monthly ticket support, can we reach six thousand votes this month?)
