Xiang Xue’s brain is actually quite smart, she just sotis doesn’t want to think, and that’s why she subconsciously asked this question.

But there are those who clearly know, and can basically determine that it’s Zi Jiu Immortal’s group who made a move and killed Donastar.

This, of course, pertains to the Ye Family people. The current situation is basically a showdown between the Ye Family and the Rol Clan.

The Ye Family knows very well that their own people did not make a move, nor did they commission others to take action.

And Poliana... isn’t the type to do such a thing either!

So, do we even need to ask who the suspects are?

Ye Xiangkong’s mother was a bit puzzled by this and asked the sa question as Xiang Xue.

"Why did they kill Donastar? They didn’t even address the main issue!"

Ye’s father, however, understood and gave a bitter smile, "They’re trying to muddy the waters and drag more people into the ss."

"This is..." Ye’s mother was speechless upon hearing this, "Are they framing the Ye Family for this?"

She’s not soone who doesn’t understand reason, especially after Panda saved her son, for which she’s grateful.

But dragging the entire Ye Family into this without even informing them beforehand, isn’t that... too much?

"Perhaps it’s not as you think," Ye’s father shook his head, pondering his response.

"What they’re targeting should not be the Ye Family, but Gwendolyn... or even Hertman!"

Upon hearing this, Ye’s mother thought it over and then responded, "For a re fifty thousand... is it really worth such trouble?"

The Ye Family isn’t considered exceedingly wealthy, but their assets are considerable; for others, fifty thousand is a lot, but they truly don’t care about it.

Their attitude towards money is sowhat like what Qu Jianlei often says: If a problem can be solved with money, then it isn’t really a problem.

Ye’s father responded with a bitter smile, "How could you think they’re doing this for money?"

"Can you buy a killer capable of sniping Black Wood Guest with money? Calculate the investnt and return... does it add up?"

Ye’s mother raised her brow and then slowly nodded, "Understood, it’s not about money, it’s about face."

"Exactly," Ye’s father sighed deeply, "They’re upset that Gwendolyn takes money but doesn’t do the job."

Ye’s mother thought for a mont and then asked, "Shouldn’t they have inford us before doing such a thing?"

Ye’s father glanced at her indifferently, "Why do they need to? On what basis do they need to inform us?"

"Our Ye Family..." Ye’s mother paused midway, "Isn’t it considered part of the sa camp?"

Ye’s father could only give a bitter smile at this, "From the beginning, they never considered us; they never planned to welco assistance."

Ye’s mother was rendered speechless, and she took quite so ti before speaking with bitterness, "Does this an they fundantally disregard us?"

This realization was sowhat disheartening, as in the Ye Family’s perception, they certainly consider themselves to be reputable.

"Alas," Ye’s father sighed deeply, also feeling quite emotional, "They have the capital to be ostentatious, while the Ye Family indeed falls short."

Ye’s mother snorted lightly upon hearing this, apparently feeling a bit unconvinced, but she eventually posed a question.

"So what’s the plan for our family? Do we withdraw, or continue to assist them? I’m worried we’ll take the bla."

"Then let’s just withdraw," Ye’s father surprisingly showed a hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth, "Just assu your son took a beating for nothing."

"That’s impossible," Ye’s mother firmly rejected this suggestion.

"Fights among children don’t count for much, but soone like Robin Hood who loves going to extres cannot be allowed to get away."

She’s not spoiling her child, but rather realizing that the other’s actions have crossed the boundary, and she has to consider her son’s safety.

But she’s still unsure about her course of action, "You make a decision, I’ll go back to my maiden family to find people."

Ye’s mother’s family is not much worse than the Ye Family; the two were in a free love relationship back then, but there were barriers from the start.

Ye’s father smiled and shook his head, "Just watch and wait, let things happen naturally, like those teachers of Green Water do."

The Ye Family truly grasped the intricacies of the situation, but Rol did not.

That night, he enlisted people to close down seven or eight shops, either linked to the Ye Family or familiar with Poliana.

The reason for the closure was quite concrete: Soone reported tax evasion!

Gwendolyn had been paying attention to the situation’s developnts, and upon hearing this news, she frowned, "Rol has gone mad?"

The accusation of tax evasion is significant and widely applicable, yet the punishnt is not harsh.

As long as fines and late fees are paid, they can mostly escape punishnt, with a sufficiently good attitude, community service isn’t even necessary.

Therefore, Gwendolyn couldn’t understand why Rol resorted to such a big show with little result.

If he just wanted to irk people, it’s really not worth it, "Making enemies on both sides during such tis is not wise."

At the sa ti, Rol’s family also opposed, but he was extrely stubborn and didn’t think his actions were wrong.

"I just want to see which of these two families jumps more vigorously."

"Those who dare to venture out and stir trouble generally have a clear conscience; those with crooked intentions don’t have the courage!"

These words make a kind of sense, but the subjective desire here is a bit too strong.

Poliana wasn’t questioned until the afternoon; why she, who had significant suspicion, was dealt with so late, remains unknown.

However, as an Imperial official, she indeed received certain care. After an hour of questioning, they let her go.

Poliana was interrogated, but her mood was fairly good; at least that disgusting guy was already dead.

Yet, as soon as she got off work and returned ho, she received several ssages about stores being shut down consecutively.

Those shop owners were all her relatives and friends, and the reason of tax evasion was really too broad.

The Empire still places considerable importance on taxation, especially in the Central Star Realm where tax regulation is very strict.

But in the Hope Star Realm, such peripheral places see a substantial decrease in tax control intensity.

In these remote areas, if control is too strict, developnt becos impossible.

Is the Empire truly unaware of the nurous grey transactions in the Hope Star Realm?

Yet, if grey transactions were to be strictly investigated, who would co to such poor rural areas? Developnt would be out of the question.

In fact, even in the Central Star Realm, aren’t all businesses racking their brains for reasonable tax avoidance?

Therefore, talking about tax evasion in the Hope Star Realm is really boring; it’s rely a ans to ss with people.

After hearing the news, Poliana’s face turned as cold as water, and she murmured softly, "Do they really think I’m easily bullied?"

Then she used her watch to call a number, "It’s , tell Tyson to get to work as soon as possible."

Others think she’s a civilian who rose to power and acts with propriety daily, instinctively believing she wouldn’t resort to shady tactics.

But she’s been steeped in officialdom for too long; even if she’s not accustod to using underhanded tricks, it’s impossible for her not to have backup plans.

The person on the other end was clearly shocked, "Sis, are you serious?"

"Why wouldn’t I be?" Poliana replied with a grim face, "Should I just tolerate when others sche against ?"

She said this through her watch, knowingly that soone could overhear, so let them listen; who doesn’t have a bit of temper?

As long as her specific arrangents aren’t discovered, there’s no problem.

The call was disconnected on the other side, and behind her, a pair of large hands wrapped around her waist.

A rush of warm breath hit her earlobe; it was her husband’s presence, followed by his voice.

"Baby, don’t be angry; it’s not worth it... It’s no big deal if we give up this position."

Poliana’s heart instantly surged with a wave of tenderness.

Being young and foolish, misplaced trust, but that was just youth.

Fortunately, towards the end of her youth, she found her true love.

She replied softly, "Honey, I’m not angry, just feeling a bit frustrated."

"But once you take action, everyone will know it’s you."

"Not necessarily," Poliana laughed, "Donastar’s death had nothing to do with , yet I was still suspected?"

"But you’re wrongly accused," her husband’s arms tightened, drawing her into a sweet breath of suffocation.

"This ti, I want to see them wronged," Poliana smiled slightly and then muttered softly.

"Donastar’s matter was forcefully pinned on , so why can’t I pin it on them?"

That night, Rol’s third son and his wife were shot dead with a sniper rifle on the street.

Upon hearing the news, Rol was furious, "Bastard, how dare they harm my family!"

The Ye family also received the news in a very short period; Ye’s mother was aghast, "Is Poliana crazy?"

Guessing who the real mastermind was wasn’t difficult; Green Water’s teacher wouldn’t step out for tax issues, and the Ye family hadn’t made a move.

Ye’s father sneered, "Rol can vent on unrelated people, so why can’t others do it?"

Ye’s mother sighed, "That’s true, but direct killing, never thought Poliana would be so ruthless."

Yet Ye’s father was indifferent, "Do you really think the governnt is filled with good people? Being too honest wouldn’t even let one survive."

After a pause, he added, "Moreover, it may not be Poliana; does Rol lack enemies?"

Ye’s mother thought for a bit and then asked, "So what do we do, should we take action?"

"Sit and watch," Ye’s father replied casually, "If we act too, our styles will be distinct..."

"Then Rol will realize two families made a move, and our and Poliana’s suspicions would indeed be confird."

Ye’s mother considered for a while before understanding and nodded, "You’re more thorough in your thinking."

However, unfortunately, being thorough often isn’t useful.

At midnight, in a bar that Robin Hood’s uncle invested in, three masked gunn stord in.

The gunn wildly fired at the patrons, instantly killing three and severely injuring seven or eight.

Fortunately, Hope No.4 Star is a developing New Star; with lax gun control, so patrons also carried firearms.

The patrons fought back, one of the gunn was shot, and they fled in panic.

Shortly thereafter, alarm sounds rang out, and a large contingent of City Guard arrived.
