The long-haired man ignored him and coldly snorted, turning to the woman behind him, "See, I knew it was him."
The woman's expression was a bit complex, "Black Heaven, is that you?"
The newcors were none other than the first and second in command of the Black Rain Pioneer Corps, Baldy and Fangcao.
Qu Jianlei honestly didn't want to acknowledge them; familiar ties are better left to fade away in the rivers and lakes.

"Boss, stop kidding," Fangcao rolled her eyes, "Let's get down to business."
"Hmm," the long-haired man nodded, then spoke seriously, "We discovered you when you rented a house in Shanshui Town."
It was a mber of the Black Rain who initially recognized Qu Jianlei.
He was a Modified Warrior, who previously didn't qualify to interact with Black Heaven; seeing him from afar, he didn't say hello.
Though Qu Jianlei was very cautious, the man held no malice towards him, only a slight surprise.
Such surprise didn't draw much attention from Qu Jianlei—being a stranger in Shanshui Town is hardly unexpected.
Then this individual reported the sighting to Fangcao, who assigned soone to check it out, confirming the suspicion that it was Black Heaven.
However, she didn't rush to make contact because she knew Black Heaven disliked being disturbed.
Moreover, there was another critical point: recently, the Supre Steve from the Quantum Team had approached Black Rain to inquire about Black Heaven.

and they both insisted they hadn't contacted Wen Xin nor knew Black Heaven's current whereabouts.

But Fangcao and Baldy differed from Pan Yifu, who was military-affiliated, since they operated outside official channels.
Adding that they too were backed by a Supre, Kushnier refrained from direct confrontation, letting the issue slide.
