Renya had just caught up when he saw the scene unfolding in the distance.
Kinkaku was already surrounded by five people. The Nine-Tails chakra surged violently, and his scarlet, slit-like pupils were locked onto everyone around him.
When he saw Renya catching up, Kinkaku clenched his fists in rage.
He knew that if he failed to seriously injure any of them, there would be no chance of escape.
But if he could just wound soone, he could divert their attention—and that would give him a shot at getting away.
After all, it had worked like that the last few tis. He had experience in this kind of situation.

"Damned Konoha shinobi!" Kinkaku growled through gritted teeth, his gaze sweeping across each of them, looking for a target.
In the end, he locked onto Koharu Utatane and Mitokado Homura.
These two had ambushed him from behind earlier. Compared to the others, their strength wasn’t as high—they were the easiest openings!
"If I can’t run, then I’ll take a few down with !" Kinkaku let out a sinister grin and suddenly exploded into action.

Homura quickly stepped back, forming hand seals with both hands.

"Got him!" Kinkaku hadn’t expected it to be that easy to seriously injure soone. A flash of smugness flickered in his eyes.
Without a mont’s hesitation, he turned and thrust his six tails like spears at Koharu Utatane.
If he could just injure two of them, his odds of escaping would skyrocket.
Koharu quickly tried to dodge, but the tails were too fast. A single mistake and she’d end up like Homura...
"Smack!" One tail slamd into her, and she was sent flying from the sheer force of the blow.
Kinkaku didn’t give her a chance to breathe. His six tails lashed out at the downed Koharu Utatane with terrifying speed.
"Die!"
"Koharu!" Renya instantly used the Body Flicker Technique, appearing in front of her in a flash.
His three-tomoe Sharingan spun rapidly, predicting Kinkaku’s movents. His katana flashed with cold light as it slashed toward Kinkaku’s tails.
"Clang!" The chakra-ford tails were extrely durable.
Renya didn’t stop. With a twist of his wrist, the blade slipped along the end of the tail and cut inward.

A shocking scene occurred—one of Kinkaku’s chakra tails was actually severed!
"Impossible?!" Kinkaku stared at the broken tail in disbelief.
It wasn’t just that the tail had been cut. Why couldn’t he regenerate it?
He tried to circulate his chakra to regrow the tail—but instead, his chakra spiraled out of control.

Kinkaku roared, whipping his remaining five tails wildly, forcing Renya to retreat with Koharu.

He burst forward with a sudden surge of power, ignoring attacks from Hiruzen and the others, launching one last assault.
Renya’s pupils shrank. He imdiately counterattacked.
Kinkaku didn’t defend—he just wanted to kill the boy in front of him.
He was too fast. The distance was too close. And he was completely ignoring defense. Renya had no ti to evade!
"Damn it!"
Renya hadn’t expected Kinkaku to go full rabid dog. If he’d known, he would’ve created more distance after landing a hit.
"Shhk—!"
Blood splattered.
Kinkaku’s claws tore across Renya’s chest, cutting deep enough to reveal bone, instantly dyeing his black robe red.
Renya’s katana stabbed into Kinkaku’s gut. Blood spilled from Kinkaku’s lips as he gritted his teeth and swiped again.
Renya groaned as he was struck by the impact, sent flying and crashing to the ground. He skidded more than ten ters before coming to a stop.
"Renya!" Shimura Danzō roared, hurling a kunai—but Kinkaku tanked the hit and still moved forward to finish the job.
"Heh heh heh, brat—you’re dying with !"
Kinkaku cackled, dragging his wounded body as he lunged again.
The others rushed to help—but they were too far away.
Renya gritted his teeth and forced himself up. Pain tore through his chest, making it hard to breathe. Instinctively, he tightened his grip on his katana.
"Got careless..."
He hadn’t expected Kinkaku to be this hard to kill. Even after all that, he was still alive.

Renya muttered to himself, rapidly forming hand seals with his left hand.
"Fire Style: Dragon Fla Release Song Technique!"
Blazing flas spewed from his mouth, forming a fearso fire dragon that roared toward Kinkaku.
