"Kagami, why are you here?"

At Senju Tobirama’s residence, Renya looked at the sudden appearance of Uchiha Kagami in the courtyard, a little puzzled.

For Kagami to co rushing like this, sothing serious must have happened.

"Renya-kun, so jōnin in the clan are trying to incite our people to start a coup." Uchiha Kagami spoke with a solemn expression.

At the clan eting, several mbers had voiced the idea of a coup, and so of those present were clearly swayed.

Although the proposal was rejected by Clan Head Uchiha Tanaka and a few elders, Kagami knew full well that those intent on rebellion would never give up so easily.

The mont the eting ended, he rushed over to consult Renya for a solution.

This was sothing Uchiha Kagami dared not tell Tobirama-sensei, for fear that it would only worsen his impression of the Uchiha.

Tobirama-sensei was already wary of the Uchiha clan. If this reached his ears, things would only beco more disastrous.

Kagami wanted Renya’s advice, to find the perfect way to resolve this matter before it escalated further.

Renya was montarily stunned by what he heard.

He hadn’t expected the Uchiha to already be considering a coup at this stage.

But on second thought, it wasn’t surprising. The Uchiha were a proud and arrogant bunch—naturally, so would resent the Hokage’s attitude toward them.

They might think: both the Senju and the Uchiha founded Konoha, so why was it that the Senju could beco Hokage while the Uchiha were relegated to the Police Force?

To Senju Tobirama, the Uchiha were an unstable factor that needed constant surveillance, to prevent them from bringing irreparable harm to the village.

But to the Uchiha, Tobirama’s actions were deliberate targeting, fueling growing tension between the clan and the village.

It was only natural that so Uchiha would start considering a coup to seize power and change the clan’s status in Konoha.

—This was what defined the Uchiha Hawks.

As ti went on, the clan’s dissatisfaction would only grow. More and more would join the Hawks, until finally the conservative clan head would be forced to yield to internal pressure and attempt a coup.

That was exactly what happened with Uchiha Fugaku in the original tiline. Unfortunately, before the coup even began, he allowed himself to be slaughtered by his own son, the dutiful "filial child," leading to the clan’s annihilation overnight at their own hands.

Now, with the Hawks only just erging, the Uchiha weren’t likely to move so soon. Unless, of course, Clan Head Uchiha Tanaka himself was a Hawk—only then would an early coup be possible.

But Renya didn’t believe that fool Uchiha Tanaka had the guts for it. Otherwise, he would’ve already sent assassins after Renya.

Yet all these years had passed, and not only had the Uchiha failed to make an attempt on his life, they actually avoided him whenever they saw him. Nobody dared provoke this "outsider Uchiha."

Renya was certain Uchiha Tanaka wouldn’t dare try a coup. Besides, the current Hokage was Senju Tobirama.

At the slightest sign of trouble from the Uchiha, that old man would know instantly.

"Renya-kun?" Uchiha Kagami couldn’t help but ask when Renya stayed silent.

He had co here seeking counsel, but Renya’s lack of response only made him more anxious.

He had to resolve this perfectly before Tobirama-sensei found out.

Kagami was a rational Uchiha. He would not blindly serve the clan at the expense of the village, but neither could he simply watch the clan march toward destruction.

If possible, he wished to see the clan and the village coexist in peace.

Renya’s thoughts were pulled back by Kagami’s words. He lifted his gaze to Kagami’s anxious face and asked,

"So, what do you want to do?"

He was curious—would Kagami choose the clan or the village?

"I want the clan and the village to coexist peacefully," Kagami replied without hesitation, his expression serious.

"Renya-kun, can you help think of a way?"

Renya understood imdiately. Kagami was just like Shisui—he wanted both the clan and the village.

But such a stance often pleased neither side. One could even call it double-dealing.

Uchiha Shisui had provided the Hokage with intelligence on the clan’s impending coup, only to end up driven to suicide by Danzo’s treachery.

He had saved neither the clan nor himself.

The best course was to do as Uchiha Itachi had: choose one side.

Of course, Renya wasn’t suggesting Kagami should massacre his clan. Rather, he needed to firmly commit to one side—

Support either the clan or the village. Wavering in the middle was not an option.

"You could just kill all the Hawks. With no one left to incite rebellion, there’d be no coup, right?" Renya offered his suggestion.

If all the Hawks were gone, only the conservatives would remain.

It was like Uchiha Madara’s "Eye of the Moon Plan"—once everyone in the world was bound to the Divine Tree, peace would be absolute.

Extre, yes. But effective, wasn’t it?

Uchiha Kagami: "???"

He hadn’t expected Renya’s advice to be outright extermination of the Hawks. How could he even co up with sothing so outrageous?

"That’s impossible!" Kagami imdiately shook his head. He could never slaughter his own clansn.

Renya had expected as much. He had only thrown it out casually.

"Then you could beco the clan head yourself. Use your strength to force the Hawks into submission—in other words, beat them all down."

"That would be difficult." Kagami looked troubled.

Many of the Hawks were veteran elite jōnin. There was no way he could take them all on alone.

And becoming clan head was itself a daunting task. With his strength and lack of seniority, there was no chance.

Renya shot him an exasperated look.

"This won’t work, that won’t work... maybe you should just leave it alone."

After all, the Uchiha coup wasn’t set to happen for decades yet. Even if they ignored it now, it wouldn’t be a major issue.

"No. I can’t just stand by and watch my clan go down the path of opposing the village." Kagami’s expression was resolute.

Renya: "..."

This guy was really stubborn.

Forget it. He was tired of this.

Renya lay back down on his recliner, basking in the sun. This matter had nothing to do with him anyway.

He was a Senju now, not an Uchiha. Even if the clan did stage a coup, it wouldn’t affect him in the slightest.

"Renya-kun, don’t go back to sleep! Please help think of sothing." Kagami’s face was full of urgency, afraid the clan might suddenly act.

Renya sighed helplessly. "I’ve already done my best."

The two suggestions he had given were, in his mind, the most effective solutions possible.

If Kagami wouldn’t accept them, there was nothing more he could do.

"If you really can’t resolve it, go to the Hokage’s office and talk to the old man. I’m sure he can handle it."

Renya simply dumped the problem back on Senju Tobirama. After all, wasn’t that old man the Hokage?

Kagami nodded reluctantly. At this point, it was the only choice left.
