Tonight, there was no workout, so theoretically, Shuichi should have felt much more relaxed. But when he walked out of the beauty salon, he still felt light and floaty—only slightly better than yesterday.
No wonder people say that being handso is hard on the waist. Now that he had experienced it firsthand, he could confirm—it was true.
A night breeze blew past, bringing a slight chill that instantly cleared his mind.
But at the sa ti, Shuichi felt as if the wind had passed right through him, as if his whole body had been thoroughly penetrated by the breeze.
Of course, it was just an illusion, but Shuichi truly felt that sense of transparency.
Swaying slightly, he made his way toward the flower shop. Originally, he had planned to head straight back to the managent office to sleep, but when he saw the flowers quietly blooming under the warm, dim lights, he couldn’t help but be drawn in.
Those flowers were like a bowl of ran at a late-night shop—satisfying hunger, but for the eyes, fulfilling the pursuit of beauty.
As usual, Shuichi stepped forward and knocked on the door. Only after hearing that familiar ethereal voice respond did he enter.
After three days of care, the flower shop was nothing like the empty storefront it had once been.
It was quiet, warm, full of life, and breathtakingly beautiful—like stepping into a secret garden.
"Which flower has caught your eye today?" Ichika asked, unusually teasing.
"Sigh, looks like in Kitagawa-san’s eyes, I really have beco a freeloader." Shuichi replied with a helpless smile.
"It’s fine. If the flowers end up in the hands of soone who truly loves them, like you, I’d say that’s a wonderful ending."
As she spoke, Ichika bowed slightly, her slender, fair fingers gently caressing the petals of a flower.
Shuichi stood still, watching the scene before him—the warm, dim light, the breathtaking woman, the blooming flowers. If he captured this mont in a photograph, it might just be award-winning.
It was a sha that he didn’t have the photography skills—or even the proper equipnt—to capture it.
"Is it that beautiful?" Ichika smiled faintly, without the slightest hint of displeasure.
If it had been any other man she had t in the past, she would have already politely asked them to leave. But the boy in front of her had nothing but pure admiration in his eyes, so he was an exception.
"Yeah, that mont just now was stunning. I even had the urge to take a photo and use it as my computer wallpaper. Too bad I’m really not good at photography." Shuichi admitted honestly.
"You seem to have dressed up today. What, did you go on a date?" Ichika gave him a once-over, only mildly surprised by how striking he looked today.
After all, for soone whose looks were already ridiculously high to begin with, this wasn’t exactly shocking.
"My hair was getting a bit long, so I asked the lady at the beauty salon to trim it for . I also got a facial treatnt while I was there." Shuichi said honestly.
"Oh? Sounds like that lady is quite skilled."
Ichika was slightly surprised. Ever since she arrived, she had been completely absorbed in tending to the flowers, paying no attention to anything outside the shop.
She hadn’t expected such a skilled hairdresser to be hidden away in this quiet little shopping street.
"Yeah, her skills are truly impressive." Shuichi recalled the experience and wholeheartedly agreed with the assessnt.
"Shall we start your tutoring today? The flower shop is pretty much sorted now." Ichika asked.
Ichika seed to have been prepared for this all along. She walked over to the rocking chair in the corner and picked up a few textbooks from the side table.
Shuichi scratched his head. "To be honest, I really don’t feel like studying after school. But I have a feeling that if my Classical Literature grade tanks in the midterms, Nagase-sensei won’t let off the hook."
"Then just study properly." Ichika said with a small laugh.
"Sigh... Kitagawa-san, you better make this interesting. Otherwise, I’m definitely going to doze off." Shuichi sighed, reluctantly sitting down at the table with her.
There were two chairs placed beside the table—one was a reclining rocking chair, the other was just a plain wooden chair.
Ichika lay naturally in the rocking chair, tilting her head to look at Shuichi, who was sitting in a completely improper posture. "Do you read much?"
"Do light novels and manga count?" Shuichi replied lazily.
"Obviously not." Ichika said with an amused shake of her head.
"If we’re talking about serious books..." Shuichi rubbed his chin, thinking back. He realized that the original owner of this body had barely read anything—less than even what he had read in his past life.
"No Longer Human," "Rashomon," so works by Haruki Murakami, and then a few detective novels by Keigo Higashino, I guess. But I’ve pretty much forgotten most of their contents. And honestly, I didn’t really form any personal insights—just thought they seed impressive while reading."
Ichika smiled softly and nodded. His honesty left an even deeper impression on her. This kind of casual conversation, free of pretension or showing off, was sothing she found very pleasant.
"That’s not bad at all. At least you’ve read sothing."
"Wow, just how low are your expectations for , Kitagawa-san?"
"Just... ordinarily low."
"Alright then..."
—
After diligently studying Classical Literature for over half an hour, nothing particularly romantic or dramatic happened.
Still, Shuichi found the experience surprisingly enjoyable.
Ichika had a pleasant voice and a patient way of teaching. The flower shop was peaceful, making it easy to focus without any frustration, allowing him to fully concentrate on what he was doing.
Even without any special motivation for studying, the atmosphere alone seed to boost his efficiency.
)
Ichika was also quite satisfied with his performance. Back when she was a teacher, her students would often get distracted, zoning out and staring at her instead of paying attention to the lesson.
She had never found a way to deal with it. No matter how many tis she reminded them, it was useless. Even though her lessons were engaging, her students’ grades always ended up lower than those in other classes.
Because of that, her professional abilities were often questioned.

After leaving the flower shop, Shuichi actually felt a slight sense of fulfillnt from learning sothing new. But more importantly—
[Ichika Kitagawa’s sense of belonging 10. Administrator’s monthly salary 100,000 yen.]
It was unexpectedly smooth.
He hadn’t even done anything special—just stopped by the shop at night when he was tired, chatted a bit, and sohow, her sense of belonging increased. It wasn’t nearly as difficult as he had first imagined.
Well, that made sense. Even though he always called Sumire a useless slacker, the fact that they had been friends for years and still only addressed each other by surna said a lot.
He must have been unconsciously influenced by her opinion of Ichika, exaggerating the difficulty in his mind.

Shuichi glanced back at the flower shop’s display window. Under the warm glow of the lights, the colorful flowers seed even more captivating.

A peaceful night passed.
By early morning, Shuichi was in a half-asleep state when he suddenly beca aware of a weight pressing down on his legs.
Frowning slightly, he slowly opened his eyes. After adjusting to the light, he looked down—
The blanket over him was puffed up, as if sothing was underneath.
"Sigh..." Shuichi let out a long breath. He had a pretty good guess about what was going on.
Lifting the blanket, he confird it—yep, it was the cat.
"ssing with first thing in the morning..."
Still feeling drowsy, he wasn’t in the mood to move. Instead, he closed his eyes again, letting the cat do whatever it wanted while he stole a few more minutes of rest.
He had no idea how much ti passed, but by the ti he woke up feeling refreshed, the cat had already played to its heart’s content and disappeared.
At so point, Tsuki had arrived to wake him.
"Young Master, it’s ti to get up and wash up."
"Oh? You’re feeling better?" Shuichi turned his head to glance at her, still unwilling to move.
"Mm, completely fine now." Tsuki’s gaze burned into him as she licked the corner of her lips. "So, is Young Master planning to tire out today? You did say I needed to be fully recovered first..."
She stared at Shuichi, montarily dazed by how ridiculously handso he looked.
In reality, after a night’s sleep, his hairstyle had gotten ssy, and he wasn’t nearly as polished as last night.
But even the remnants of that effect were enough to make the student council president genuinely swoon—not just chase after him for the thrill of it like before.
Shuichi looked at her with a half-smile. "You’re that eager? Weren’t you completely against it before, looking all disgusted? Why the sudden change?"
"Guh..." Tsuki’s face flushed slightly, an expression of embarrassnt appearing. "I-I’m not looking forward to it or anything... It’s just that since Young Master always likes treating this way, if I don’t cooperate, I’ll probably get punished twice as hard, right?"
"If you want it, just say so directly." Shuichi replied flatly.
Tsuki’s body trembled slightly as she bit her lower lip. "T-Today... I want to be teased by Young Master... on the balcony."
"..."
Shuichi felt a headache coming on.
Though the balcony facing the back street had decent privacy—with greenery and a small park beyond it, making it unlikely for passersby to see—
The real issue was... the other residents on the sa street could see from their own balconies!
Tsuki’s eyes were burning with excitent as she stared at Shuichi, looking like she genuinely wanted this to happen. Her pupils were practically turning into heart shapes.
Her body had recovered, but her sanity seed to have taken a hit instead... Looked like he needed to buy a cat toy or sothing to keep her distracted.
Shuichi made a ntal note and got up to wash up. While he was freshening up, Tsuki helped him as usual and even rinsed her own mouth in the process.
Once they were both ready, they stepped out onto the balcony.
"Alright, let’s start." Shuichi said after glancing around and confirming there was no one outside.
Which made sense—at this hour, most shop owners on the street were busy preparing to open, not hanging around on their balconies.
"Yes, Young Master." Tsuki breathed out, her voice slightly unsteady as she leaned forward against the railing...
