The battlefield was completely silent, save for the crackle of dying pitch-fires in the trenches and the adrenaline-fueled breathing of the Vanguard.

Silas stood frozen in the center of the blood-soaked courtyard with his Umbral-Forged Mythril Blade hanging loosely from his grip.

He wasn’t looking at the two-mile-long trench Eluned had just carved through the necrotic forest...

He wasn’t looking at the mountain of steaming, mangled Tier 2 monster corpses piled high outside his Ironwood Palisade...

His blue eyes were locked squarely on the massive pristine golden tab hovering directly in the center of his vision.

[Sovereign Realm Battle Assessnt Complete...]

[Calculating Wave Survival... Exceptional.]

[Calculating Threat Level Defeated: Over 100 Tier 2 Monsters 1 Tier 3 Boss.]

[Location Modifier: Unknown Zone (Extre Difficulty) applied.]

[Congratulations, Lord Silas Graves.]

[You have surpassed all standard trics. You have now beco the #1 Territory on the Sovereign Newbie Leaderboards!]

A cold shiver ran entirely down Silas’s spine.

For a brief second, the terrifying bruised-purple sky of the Umbral Basin faded away.

Silas’s mind violently snapped back to reality... back to the pristine, high-vaulted lecture halls of Valoria Academy.

He rembered sitting at his polished desk near the back of the class, an outcast scholarship student surrounded by the other people and heirs of gacorporations, listening to an elite instructor drone on about the survival rates in the Sovereign Realm.

’The Lord Alliance Board...’ Silas thought. ’It isn’t just a local ranking system, It’s the absolute tric of power for the entire human domain.’

He rembered the instructor pulling up a massive holographic projection of the leaderboards for the class.

They were strictly divided into two categories: [Classic], which held the monstrous centuries-old empires built by the ancient Lords, and [Newbie], which tracked the progress of the newly awakened Lords during their crucial first thirty days.

The scoring system was brutally simple.

One point for every standard monster killed within your territory’s borders.

Boss monsters offered massive point injections, and surviving in high-risk environnts like an Unknown Zone provided astronomical multipliers.

Silas sighed with his grip tightening on the heavy leather hilt of his black sword.

’If you break into the Top 1,000 of the Classic section... The gacorporations offer you luxury contracts and if you break into the Top 100, the planetary governnt treats you like royalty.’

Silas ntally swiped his hand through the air, forcing his interface to open the full leaderboard.

A glowing blue list materialized in front of him.

[Sovereign Newbie Leaderboards - Day 2]

[Rank 1]: Unnad Territory - 850 Points

[Rank 2]: House Sterling Garrison - 140 Points

[Rank 3]: Iron-Peak Citadel - 115 Points

[Rank 4]: Aegis of the Sun - 90 Points

[Rank 5]: Silver-Leaf Domain - 85 Points

Silas stared at the numbers in disbelief.

He wasn’t just in first place... He had absolutely shattered the curve.

The second-place holder, ’House Sterling’ which was undoubtedly one of those rich, arrogant noble heirs from one of the academies all over the world had 190... however Silas had 850.

’The Unknown Zone multiplier combined with a Tier 3 Boss kill...’ Silas thought. ’Sigh... what a good haul.’

But as his eyes scanned the glowing text, a slight frown touched his lips.

Every single territory below him had a grandiose imposing na.

His territory, the undisputed number one domain in the entire Newbie bracket, was listed simply as [Unnad Territory].

"My Lord!"

Brida’s heavy armored boots crunched against the blood-stained dirt as she jogged up to him, instantly pulling him out of his internal interface.

The Shieldmaiden captain’s face was sared with black soot and corrosive monster blood, but her eyes were shining with fanatical devotion.

Behind her, the remaining nineteen won of the Vanguard were lowering their weapons with the adrenaline finally bleeding out of their systems.

Tamsin was wiping her daggers on a clean patch of grass, while Rowena, the new B-Rank Rune Weaver, was leaning heavily against her staff, panting softly as her blue mana finally deactivated.

Eluned drifted down from the high palisade wall, landing gracefully beside Silas.

She didn’t have a single speck of dirt or ash on her flawless silver-green dress so she simply clung to his left arm, looking incredibly pleased with herself.

"We held the line, Lord Graves!" Brida reported, slamming her fist against her newly upgraded Steel Aegis.

The heavy tal rang like a cathedral bell. "The surviving beasts have completely routed and the periter is secure."

"You did more than hold the line, Brida..." Silas said as he looked at the twenty exhausted, bloodied won. "You slaughtered an army that would have wiped out any other territory in this realm."

He swiped his hand, projecting the [Newbie Leaderboard] tab outward so the girls could see it floating in the air.

"Because of your strength, we aren’t just surviving anymore," Silas announced.

He pointed to the massive 850 sitting at the absolute top of the list. "We are the strongest new territory in the Sovereign Realm."

The Vanguard stared at the glowing blue numbers. For a mont, they couldn’t fully comprehend it.

They were mortal summons, pulled from the ether to fight and die for a Lord but seeing the undeniable proof of their supremacy staring back at them caused a massive wave of overwhelming pride to wash through the ranks.

"Number one..." Fenna whispered, her grip tightening on her glowing magical recurve bow.

"Of course we are," Vanya laughed with the adrenaline spiking again. "Did you see what Lady Eluned did to that boss? Did you see the weapons the Lord pulled out of thin air? We are invincible!"

"There is just one problem..." Silas interrupted with a small amused smile touching his lips as he pointed to the top line. "We don’t have a na."

The girls blinked, looking at the [Unnad Territory] designation.

"An empire cannot be naless..." Silas said smoothly, crossing his arms over his chest. "You all fought for this dirt... You bled for it... So I want to hear your thoughts. What do we call our ho?"

The Vanguard imdiately perked up, deeply honored that their Lord was actually consulting them on a matter of absolute importance.

Most Lords viewed their summons as expendable tools, entirely beneath the right to speak.

Silas was actively treating them like his founding generals.

"We should call it the Blood-Gate!" Hilda, one of the new Heavy Shieldmaidens, shouted fiercely, slamming her broadsword against her shield. "To remind the monsters of what happens when they cross our threshold!"

"Too barbaric..." Alys countered, shaking her head. "We are an empire, not a raider camp. What about the Umbral Citadel?"

"That just nas it after the disgusting beasts we just killed," Tamsin snorted while rolling her eyes.

Eluned tightened her grip on Silas’s arm as her eyes began glowing.

She looked up at him, completely ignoring the other girls.

"We should na it the Sanctuary of Graves. Or the Divine Realm of Silas. For wherever you stand, my Lord, the earth itself is sacred."

Silas violently coughed with his cheeks imdiately flushing a deep crimson.

"Absolutely not," he shot down instantly. "I am not naming the territory after myself. That is painting a massive target on our backs for every Lord in the Newbie bracket."

He looked out past the heavy Ironwood gates.

He looked at the terrifying, necrotic treeline of the Umbral Basin, the bruised-purple sky, and the endless horrors lurking in the Unknown Zone.

This world was a literal nightmare of corruption and death.

But inside these walls, bathed in the golden light of the System and the erald glow of Eluned’s magic, it was warm... It was safe... It was a haven carved out of hell itself...

"Blessed Land," Silas said quietly.

The Vanguard stopped bickering, turning to look at him.

"The Umbral Basin is cursed," Silas explained, his blue eyes sweeping over his territory. "It is ant to be a death sentence bbut we took root here anyway. With Eluned’s magic and your steel, this is the only piece of ground in the entire Unknown Zone that isn’t infected by the dark."

He looked at his troops.

"We will call it the Blessed Land."

A collective, massive smile spread across the faces of the twenty won.

It wasn’t overly aggressive, and it wasn’t arrogant. It was a perfect defiant statent against the horrors of the world they were trapped in.

"Blessed Land," Brida nodded firmly. "It is perfect, my Lord."

Silas focused his mind on the glowing digital interface.

[Would you like to officially na your territory ’Blessed Land’?]

’Accept...’ Silas commanded ntally.

The reaction was instantaneous as a warm cascading wave of brilliant golden light erupted from the center of the Keep, washing over the stone tiles scaling the massive Ironwood Palisade, and radiating out into the dark woods.

It was the cosmic law of the Sovereign Realm officially recognizing his authority over the coordinates.

[Territory Na Locked: Blessed Land.]

[Territory Aura Established: Morale decay negated within borders.]

"Alright," Silas clapped his hands together, shifting seamlessly back into commander mode. "We have the ranking, and we have the na. Now, let’s check the loot."

He pulled up his internal balance with his eyes scanning the final tally of Upgrade Points acquired from the massacre.

[Current Balance: 156 UP]

’Exactly 156,’ Silas thought, highly satisfied with the math. ’Upgrading the Vanguard’s gear mid-fight cost a lot of UP, but the volu of the wave and the massive 20 UP injection from the Tier 3 Mini-Boss more than made up for it.’

"My Lord," Tamsin spoke up with her voice slicing through his internal calculations.

The Wilderness Huntress stepped forward, pointing her dagger toward the smoldering pitch-flooded trenches outside the gates.

"We have a massive logistical problem," Tamsin stated grimly.

Silas followed her gaze.

The adrenaline of the victory had temporarily masked the horrifying reality of the battlefield.

There were easily over a hundred massive, mangled corpses of Tier 2 Umbral Wolves, corrupted bears, and stone-scaled reptiles piled in the dirt.

At the very edge of the clearing lay the massive, twenty-foot lower half of the Tier 3 Boss Eluned had vaporized.

"The at and the bone plating are incredibly valuable," Tamsin explained with her professional survivalist instincts kicking in. "But it seems we are in a high-mana density zone... If we leave them out there in the sun, the flesh will begin to rapidly rot within hours. The miasma from the corrosive blood will seep into the earth and poison our imdiate periter and worse, the sll of a hundred rotting corpses will attract things far worse than wolves from deep within this place."

"Can we drag them into the courtyard?" Alys asked nervously.

"No," Brida shook her head. "We can’t pile rotting monster corpses in the middle of our barracks as the girls will get violently sick from the fus."

Silas frowned.

Tamsin was right... They had fought a literal war to secure these resources, but they had absolutely nowhere to put them.

’I need a massive climate-controlled storage facility,’ Silas realized. ’And I need it right now.’

Silas swiped his hand, materializing the heavy leather-bound [Beginner Lord’s Manual] from his inventory.

He let the heavy book fall open in his hands, rapidly flipping through the thick paper pages until he hit the basic infrastructure blueprints provided to all new Lords by the Valoria City governnt.

His eyes scanned the glowing blue text etched into the pages.

[Construct Blueprint: Tier 1 Storage House]

[Requirents: 150 Units of Wood.]

[Description: A basic wooden warehouse used to shelter raw materials and resources from the elents. Does not prevent organic decay.]

Silas flipped the page again, looking ahead to his next most pressing issue.

’The girls have been living off processed military hardtack and dried at...’ Silas thought, glancing at the exhausted troops. ’That is fine for a day or two, but long term, they will suffer from severe nutritional deficits. If they lose their combat efficiency, the territory falls so we need fresh food, and Eluned can probably grow anything if she has a proper enclosure.’

He found the corresponding blueprint.

[Construct Blueprint: Tier 1 Garden House]

[Requirents: 150 Units of Wood.]

[Description: A basic wooden enclosure with tilled earth... Protects fragile crops from harsh wind and does not possess climate control.]

Silas snapped the heavy book shut.

’I need 300 units of wood imdiately,’ Silas calculated. ’I have the UP to forcefully evolve the buildings once they are placed hopefully, but the System physically cannot construct the Tier 1 base models unless I provide the exact raw materials required by the cosmic laws.’

"Vanguard, listen to !" Silas barked, pointing toward the massive pile of corpses outside the gates. "Brida, organize a hauling team! I want those corpses dragged out of the trenches and lined up neatly inside the courtyard imdiately!"

"Yes, my Lord!" Brida saluted perfectly, turning to her troops. "Shieldmaidens, with ! Put your backs into it!"

"Tamsin, Rowena, Fenna," Silas ordered the lighter-armored girls. "Set up a periter at the edge of the treeline and keep your eyes peeled for scavengers."

As the girls imdiately sprinted off to execute his orders, the physical exertion of dragging multi-ton monsters taking a massive toll on the Shieldmaidens, Silas turned to Eluned.

The Goddess was standing patiently by his side, her hands clasped in front of her.

"Eluned," Silas said. "I need your help."

"Anything you desire, my Lord..." Eluned replied instantly.

Silas walked her out past the heavy Ironwood gates, past the hauling teams dragging massive wolves through the dirt, and stopped right at the edge of the necrotic treeline.

Towering, fifty-foot Ironwood trees lood over them, their bark as hard as tempered steel.

Silas opened the [Beginner Lord’s Manual] and pointed to a small diagram on the page.

"I need three hundred units of wood," Silas explained, tapping the diagram. "A ’unit’ in the Sovereign Realm isn’t just a log... It has to be perfectly cut into standardized, interlocking blocks, roughly two feet by two feet. Normally, a Lord would have to summon fifty lumberjacks and spend three days hacking away at these trees with iron axes to get enough refined material."

He looked up at the Goddess. "Can you do it?"

Eluned looked at the diagram in the book, then looked up at the massive, steel-hard Ironwood trees and then she let out a soft musical giggle that sounded like wind chis.

"My Lord," Eluned smiled, looking at him with genuine amusent. "I am a Goddess of the World Tree. The forest does not resist ... It obeys ."

She took a single, graceful step forward, placing her delicate, pale hand gently against the thick black bark of the nearest fifty-foot Ironwood tree.

Eluned didn’t exert any visible physical effort as she simply let her SSS-Rank divine aura bleed into the earth.

"Rise," Eluned whispered.

The ground violently completely ruptured.

Silas stumbled back a step as massive glowing, semi-translucent green roots exploded from the black soil.

The divine roots wrapped around the base of the towering Ironwood tree like the tentacles of a colossal kraken.

With a sickening, deafening CRACK that echoed over a long distance, the roots effortlessly snapped the tree’s deep subterranean anchors and hoisted the entire fifty-foot multi-ton trunk directly into the air.

"Gods..." Tamsin gasped from her periter post with her jaw completely dropping as she watched the Goddess casually levitate a tree that weighed more than a siege engine.

Eluned didn’t stop there.

She raised her other hand, her erald eyes glowing with terrifying precision as she swiped her index finger horizontally through the air in a rapid fluid motion.

SHING! SHING! SHING! SHING!

Dozens of hyper-compressed, razor-thin wind blades materialized out of thin air.

They shot forward at supersonic speeds, creating sharp vacuum cracks as they impacted the suspended Ironwood.

The steel-hard bark offered absolutely zero resistance.

Silas watched in flabbergasted awe as the wind blades perfectly, flawlessly diced the massive tree.

It looked like a master chef rapidly slicing a carrot.

The branches were sheared off and discarded into the forest, while the main trunk was violently cut into exact... perfectly symtrical, two-foot-by-two-foot interlocking blocks of refined Ironwood.

The perfectly standardized units of wood rained down from the sky, thudding heavily against the dirt in incredibly neat, organized piles.

Eluned stepped to the next tree.

"Rise..." she commanded again.

Within exactly ninety seconds, Eluned had effortlessly uprooted and flawlessly processed seven massive Ironwood trees.

Three hundred perfectly cut units of refined wood sat in pristine stacks on the edge of the treeline.

Eluned lowered her hands with the glowing green roots retreating seamlessly back into the earth.

She turned around, brushing her silver-green hair behind her ear and looked at Silas with an incredibly bright, expectant smile.

"Is this sufficient for your needs, Lord Graves?" Eluned asked, rocking slightly on her heels.

Silas stared at the massive mountain of perfectly refined wood.

He stared at the Goddess who had just casually broken every law of physics and logistics in the Sovereign Realm without breaking a single drop of sweat.

Silas didn’t say a word.

He just walked up to her, raised his hand, and gently placed it on the top of her head.

He ruffled her silver-green hair, giving her a deeply affectionate headpat.

"You are absolutely unbelievable," Silas murmured with a smile breaking across his face. "Thank you."

Eluned completely lted.

A furious burning blush instantly consud her pale face, spreading all the way to the tips of her slightly pointed ears.

She closed her eyes, leaning heavily into his touch letting out a soft incredibly happy sigh.

’If the other Lords could see right now, they would vomit blood in sheer envy...’ Silas thought.

Silas swept his hand over the piles of wood with his Lord inventory automatically activating.

The heavy Ironwood blocks vanished into the ether, perfectly syncing with his internal storage.

[Inventory Updated: Ironwood - 300 / 300 Units]

He had the materials... He had the UP... It was ti to build.
