Her initial plan had been to split their attention so Keke could get out of range while she taunted the bird in a chase.

As a novice, Keke had little combat experience; facing a class B on her first mission was unreasonable. As captain and senior, Silver Lotus wanted to protect Keke as much as possible.

Blazing fire exploded behind it; even with a petal shield, Silver Lotus staggered and almost fell.
The pink petals wrapped around the bird behind her. Before the petals could all be burned, Silver Lotus clenched her fist toward the beast.
The petals pressed in on the Disaster Beast; flesh and fla burst outward.
Below, Keke looked up at her captain’s power and was shocked.
So strong.
Could she beco like this too?
“Watch below! Keke!”
Only when Silver Lotus warned her did Keke snap back, looking down.
The bird that had crashed into the woods burst out again and hurtled toward her at top speed!
Too fast!

Because Silver Lotus’s supporting petals were still a couple ters above, the bird’s flas already reached Keke.

But the flas she invoked with her wand looked tiny and ridiculous compared to the Disaster Beast before her.

She could only watch as the beast barreled into her…

Only then did Silver Lotus’s pink petals reach and wrap around Keke, sheltering her.
