Now reading: Chapter 513: God Valley Arc — Let Him Kill Me!!! from Starting as a Roger Pirates Apprentice, a Fantasy novel by Drosen.

The sea breeze blew as the ship belonging to the Rocks Pirates cut through the waves. Harald ultimately could not forget the bonds in his heart and was "narrowly defeated" at that man’s hands.

"Toward God Valley, advance!!!"

They set off!!!

Carrying more than half of the top-tier monsters on this sea, the pirate ship headed toward where the Celestial Dragons were gathered.

"They really are full of drive, every single one of them..."

Orin, as the highest-ranking officer, held a black gun in his hand. With a gloved hand he pinched a cigarette and sat by the sail smoking.

"Should I go take a look in advance?"

After all, nearly all the famous big nas of the entire era were appearing there. It wouldn’t hurt to take a look first. Thinking this, he jumped down from the mast, flashed, and arrived on the deck.

In a corner, Keek was still grinding his blade, seemingly preparing for the Rocks Pirates’ upcoming battle. It clearly wouldn’t help much—did he really have to be this serious...

"Hey, Keek, combatant."

Black spatial power swirled in Orin’s hand, slowly condensing into a small black cube—like a Rubik’s Cube, or a pitch-black box—then he tossed it over. Keek had been sharpening his blade; hearing the call, he hurriedly caught the black box.

"Captain Orin!!!"

"This is..."

With his lack of education and experience, he couldn’t tell what it was.

"This thing can save your life at a critical mont. From now on, you must keep it with you at all tis. This is an order from the captain, understand?"

"Yes!!!"

Though he didn’t understand, Captain Orin couldn’t be wrong. Keek carefully put away the black cube.

After that, Orin headed toward the bow. Rocks stood there, seemingly gazing toward his distant holand. Orin didn’t disturb him and didn’t say anything. After a mont of silence, he sighed, and his figure slowly vanished from where he stood.

Rocks seed to sense sothing and looked back toward where Orin had been. A glint flashed in his eyes, and the corner of his mouth lifted into a faint arc.

"If it’s those Celestial Dragons, they’ll definitely provoke Orin, right?"

At so point, Newgate appeared beside Rocks and spoke. He also seed to have noticed Orin’s disappearance.

"That’s for sure. Actually, I didn’t have much confidence about this war, because fate doesn’t seem to be on my side this ti... But if Orin is here, the situation might be different, don’t you think?"

He thought of that monstrous young man who, after himself, had the potential to beco the next generation’s "King of the World." Over the past year or two, many people on the sea had been calling him...

[Black Emperor]!!!

...

Unlike the retired [Black Gun], Orin—who was only in his early twenties—was still being called [Black Emperor] by the sea. He was called by Imu another hegemon-level monster after Rocks, bearing the air of one of the Twenty Kings. The young Orin now stepped onto this land where countless destinies would intertwine.

"Celestial Dragons’ hunting activity?"

Orin had heard of it, but had never seen it before. There was nothing novel about it—what rushed at him was killing intent and despair. A black-haired young man walked across this land of despair, listening to the most painful wails.

"Please, let the child go, he’s just a baby!!!"

A family of three slaves was found by the Celestial Dragons. The two who had just beco parents had trembling pupils and tears streaming down their faces, begging the person before them to at least spare their child. The answer? Only a mocking smile and three gunshots.

"Co on down, I’ll catch you with thorns below~"

Somrs laughed as he called to the slave child in the tree. Below the tree, barbs and thorns had already grown thick. The child’s father, in agony, ran over to try to save his child. In the end, the result was only two wet, tearing sounds.

Pain and wailing were everywhere. The once quiet and peaceful God Valley had turned into a hell of despair.

On a high slope, an old man leaning on a wooden staff stood there, watching indifferently this "hunting ga" that had already lasted eight hundred years.

"Is this kind of slaughter ga really that fun?"

"It’s already been played for eight hundred years..."

A figure appeared beside Saint Saturn at so point. So Marines noticed the unfamiliar figure and, in panic, were just about to raise their guns to shoot, but Saint Saturn waved them off.

"Marines, stand down."

Saint Saturn gave the order without even lifting his eyes, showing no surprise at all. Instead, his gaze slowly shifted to the young, black-haired figure.

"What? Soone like you would also feel pity for a bunch of people who don’t even count as ants?"

"[Black Emperor] Orin, or should I say, a Celestial Dragon from the future?"

"Huh—?"

"Although there’s no record of your existence among the Celestial Dragons, the chip exclusive to Celestial Dragons on your body won’t lie. You should be from the future, right? Is it through a Devil Fruit ability?"

Saint Saturn said calmly. They had sent Harald to try to find out about Orin, but from the beginning they hadn’t had much hope. Instead, through their own intelligence channels and various analyses, they had arrived at this conclusion. In the World Governnt’s records, there were Devil Fruits related to ti and conceptual Paracia types; they weren’t nonexistent. And after eting him now, the Celestial Dragon chip he carried with him confird this.

"How astonishing. Among the descendants of today’s Celestial Dragons, soone like you can still be born—soone enough to stand shoulder to shoulder with those kings."

Orin’s Devil Fruit ability, Haki, and physical talent had never been tested to their limits in all the battles of these years, big and small. For an existence like this, the World Governnt still held a welcoming attitude in their hearts.

Who knew Orin had no intention of buying into it at all.

"Celestial Dragon? I barely count as one, but that’s just one of my many identities."

Then he looked toward the ground, at God Valley which had turned into hell.

"However..."

"Don’t lump this trash together with , Saint Saturn."

Hearing this, Saint Saturn’s expression cooled a few degrees, his eyes narrowing.

"What do you an, Orin?"

"It ans I’m never bound to any single camp. I only act according to my own ideas... In this battle of God Valley, the only victor will be ."

A cold light appeared in Saint Saturn’s eyes as he said in a deep voice,

"A Celestial Dragon of your level should know that this battle is being watched by that lord. How dare you..."

But Orin bared his teeth in a grin.

"Is that so~"

"But... if it can be done, then let Him kill !!!"
