Now reading: Chapter 388: Thirty Like a Wolf, Forty Like a Tiger from Starting by Winning the Sister-in-law's Best Friend, a Mature novel by Commissioner Geng.

Qin Tianlong: "Commission. On the total sales amount, we'll do a 70-30 split!"

Li Chuan's brows furrowed—this was interesting. A 70-30 split on sales amount, not on profit; that was a lion's share, alright.

Li Chuan didn't bother with pleasantries and said directly, "You want thirty percent of the total sales? That's way too greedy."

"Huh? Hahaha..."

Qin Tianlong burst out laughing.

His expression was full of contempt and ridicule.

Li Chuan was confused—what the hell was so funny? Was his comnt really that amusing?

Lan Xinxin looked super awkward.

Qin Tianlong laughed for quite a while, even got tears in his eyes, before finally shaking his head and saying, "President Li, President Li, you really don't get the rules, do you? Honestly, you're kind of a joke. Though I guess it's partly my fault for not explaining clearly. What I ant was, we take seventy percent of the sales, you get thirty percent. This is already a pretty good deal. Normally, it's an 80-20 split—us taking eighty percent, you get twenty. Get it?"

Li Chuan: "..."

He was speechless. How could this be called a partnership? It was straight up daylight robbery!

Ma Yuanzhi couldn't hold it in: "Boss Qin, if you take seventy percent of the sales, wouldn't we be losing money on every order?"

Qin Tianlong shook his head, his face full of sarcasm: "And that's why I say you guys have no clue."

Ma Yuanzhi looked indignant, like taking that much money was basically asking for her life: "How does that even make sense?"

Qin Tianlong: "Of course it makes sense. President Li, President Ma, in business, you can't just focus on the present. Qingyun Costics, right? A company that just started, zero recognition. If you want to get into the market, first you need to build your brand. And how do you do that? By burning cash, obviously! Look at all the online shops nowadays—who doesn't lose money at the beginning?"

"With the sort of reach Bafang dia has, if we put our full force behind Qingyun Costics, it won't take long before your company blows up. By then, your sales will skyrocket, and making money will be a breeze."

"Also, the products you sell in our livestream must be at the lowest price—if they're 189 yuan in our stream, they have to be more expensive everywhere else."

Qin Tianlong made it sound so reasonable, like a teacher lecturing his students.

Li Chuan hadn't paid much attention to livestream e-comrce before, but after hearing this, he finally understood what those hosts ant when they bragged about 'lowest price ever' during their streams.

But still, even if you got the recognition and hype, everyone would just go hunt for the lowest price.

Basically, consurs spend the money, the rchants lose out just to get exposure, and in the end, all the cash ends up in the strear's pocket.

And the strear's earnings? The backing company takes the lion's share!

Li Chuan shook his head, "Sorry, I can't accept terms like these. Sorry for wasting your ti."

"Let's go."

With that, he motioned for Ma Yuanzhi and Duan Shuiliu to leave with him.

"Tch!"

Qin Tianlong sneered, "What year do you think it is? You're still relying purely on offline sales? Even the century-old brands can barely survive without getting into livestream sales these days."

"And Bafang dia? We're currently number one on every major video platform. We have hosts with tens of millions of followers, not to ntion tons more with several million. If we go all out pushing your brand, Qingyun Costics will take off in no ti."

"Today, I'm only considering working with you because of Lan Xinxin. But if you walk out now and want to partner with Bafang dia again, it'll be at an 80-20 or even a 90-10 split!"

Li Chuan replied coldly, "Thanks for thinking of us, Boss Qin, but we really can't afford your kind of generosity!"

With that, Li Chuan left the room, taking his crew with him.

"Uh, President Qin, I'll go see them out," Lan Xinxin said, feeling a little awkward herself.

In the elevator.

"Tsk tsk! Your boss is the kind to eat the at and not even spit out the bones!" Ma Yuanzhi grumbled.

Li Chuan also found it ridiculous. This company really was no better than a bunch of bandits.

Lan Xinxin shrugged: "You think that's bad? Sotis I worry I'll wake up one day in a foreign country with my kidney missing…"

Li Chuan said, "Miss Lan, if you ever change your mind and want to join our company, our original offer still stands."

Lan Xinxin laughed, "Honestly, even if I helped with your livestream, it probably wouldn't work that well. Most of my fans are guys—they barely care about beauty products."

Li Chuan shook his head, "Not true. Our products are for everyone—age, gender, it doesn't matter. If these guys ever wake up to the idea of investing in themselves, their purchasing power could match that of female consurs."

Lan Xinxin giggled, "President Li, if you put it that way, I guess I don't know how to respond!"

Li Chuan: "If you've heard of the Cyan Wood Ointnt but haven't tried it yet, you can get so samples from my senior sister. I really believe once you use it, you won't be able to live without it."

"Sure! Yuanzhi, you'd better hook up with a couple of sets," Lan Xinxin said with so genuine anticipation—after all, Cyan Wood Ointnt had a stellar reputation among the upper crust in Jiangzhou City.

After parting ways with Lan Xinxin, the group headed back to the dojo.

By that ti, all the senior and junior disciples in charge had returned to their posts.

Everyone was reporting in with their updates.

Overall, aside from the failed talks with Bafang dia, everything else was progressing well.

"Alright, contact directly if anything cos up. I'm heading ho for a bit."

Li Chuan hadn't been back in days—now that he finally had so ti, he wanted to relax at ho for a few days. Honestly, living with his sister-in-law and little sister-in-law was a real treat.

On the way, Li Chuan ran into Zhao Qingyao.

Zhao Qingyao pulled her car right up beside Li Chuan.

Li Chuan got in, "Reporter Zhao, what brings you out here?"

Zhao Qingyao was dressed in a trim little suit, perfectly showing off her waist and hips. She looked even more feminine than before, and the faint scent she wore made Li Chuan start reminiscing about the night he'd spent at her place.

"Just dropped my daughter off at my mom's. What about you? Skipping out on school to run off to Taohua Village—what, got your soul snatched by so mountain spirit or lady ghost?" Zhao Qingyao teased as she slipped her hand right into Li Chuan's waistband.

Seeing the sultry look in Zhao Qingyao's eyes, Li Chuan almost lost it. "Sister Qingyao, there's a parking lot up ahead—"

"You little brat." Zhao Qingyao mouthed off, but still drove straight into the parking lot, found a secluded corner, and parked.

This ti, since Zhao Qingyao was driving a Tesla, she just folded down the back seats and pulled Li Chuan in with her.

It was Li Chuan's first ti ssing around in an electric car—exciting and novel, to say the least…

Over an hour later, both of them reached their peak together.

Zhao Qingyao curled up in Li Chuan's arms, savoring every mont, and went so far as to grab his finger and slowly suck on it.

Li Chuan couldn't help but sigh—in the end, these beautiful older won really did know how to surprise you!

Still, the whole "won like wolves at thirty, tigers at forty" thing? Totally accurate!

After going three rounds in a row, Zhao Qingyao finally cald down, though the two of them were still wrapped together, unwilling to let go.

In fact, Zhao Qingyao seed to really enjoy monts like these.
