Opening a blue-covered docunt, as he flipped through, Chen Zhou suddenly found a small black-and-white photo tucked inside.
The photo didn't show any people; it was an abandoned, desolate factory.
The towering walls of the factory had collapsed, revealing a hole, surrounded by several lines of large Russian letters painted in white, which Chen Zhou couldn't understand.
The architectural style of the factory matched the characteristics of the late 19th century, robust and solid, with a design aesthetic that was grand and plain.
At the end of the wall stood a gigantic chimney not fully captured by the photo.
At the base of the chimney was a striking six-pointed star, with many strange symbols drawn at each of its vertices.
The black-and-white photo made it hard to distinguish specific colors.
But the mont he saw the six-pointed star, Chen Zhou had a strong feeling — the star must be red.
Flipping the photo in his hand, he glanced at the yellowed backside, finding no words, numbers, or other useful clues, and he slipped the photo back into the docunt.
"I can't make any sense of these things, and I don't know if they're useful at all.
Placing them alongside a revolver, is this a gangster boss's small treasure trove, or evidence of money laundering?"
"And that old photo, why does it look so strange? Could it be a human experintation area disguised as a factory?"
Daring not to think too deeply about these matters, Chen Zhou organized all the bills, docunts, and ledgers, packed them into a wooden box, and planned to store them in a cave.
He thought that after the challenge ended and he returned to the modern day, perhaps he could go online to check for information to understand the origin of these items.
If there happened to be property deeds inside, he might travel to a distant land to beco a big landlord, or sell them off to make a fortune.
