After typing up the report, he glanced at Chen Jincheng again. It had certainly been an eye-opening day. Now he knew what it ant to lie with a straight face.
Just as Officer Li was about to continue his questioning, his phone suddenly rang. It was the colleague who had gone to the hospital, presumably calling to report on the attacker’s condition.

Hearing this, the image of Hu Zhicong being sent flying by that shoulder throw surfaced in Officer Li’s mind.
’Considering he’s now seriously injured and unconscious,’ he thought, ’he really is pathetic!’
Then, a thought struck him. "So, you’re saying we just got lucky and nabbed ourselves a wanted fugitive?"
Once the situation was confird, there was no point in continuing the statent. Officer Li concluded the questioning.
When Chen Jincheng ca out, Principal Huang, He Fang, and the others hurried forward to et him. "Xiaochen, what happened?"
Chen Jincheng smiled. "Thank you for your concern, Principal Huang. Everything’s been cleared up. It’s nothing."
"Mr. Chen, we’ve got the gist of it now. You can leave the rest to us," Officer Li said, personally escorting Chen Jincheng out of the station.
Just then, his phone rang. It was Sister Hong.
Sister Hong rarely called him this late at night. Clearly, she’d seen what was happening online.
He answered, and just as he expected, Sister Hong’s voice ca through. "Boss, I’m suddenly realizing I don’t know you at all. The scumbag I rember wouldn’t just fucking shoulder-throw a huge guy and send him flying. This makes no sense."
Hearing this, Chen Jincheng feigned confusion. "Sister Hong, is that any way to talk about your boss? I’m such an upstanding person. It’s one thing for other people to misunderstand , but for you to do it too... I’m heartbroken."
"Upstanding?" Sister Hong’s voice rose. She shot back, "Other people might not know what you’re like, but you think I don’t? You have the nerve to use that word?"
"..." Chen Jincheng said sheepishly, "Sister Hong, I’m the boss."
"Okay, *Boss*," Sister Hong replied, her voice turning deliberately saccharine. "I’ve already contacted Yijin and had them send the video of your shoulder throw to the clipping team. We’ll have it trending in no ti."
"This little move of yours should help you break into a new demographic. Going from ’talented scumbag’ to ’scumbag skilled in both brains and brawn’ isn’t a bad look. You might just wake up tomorrow with over ten million followers."
"I’ll leave it to you, Sister Hong. Thanks," Chen Jincheng said with a smile.
After hanging up, Chen Jincheng parted ways with Principal Huang and the others and was driven back to his hotel in a car provided by the school.
In the car, he received a WeChat ssage from the young married teacher: "Student Chen, are you leaving tomorrow?"
"I am," Chen Jincheng replied.
"Do you need to help you with so... tutoring before you leave?" Li Suwan sent another ssage.
"Thank you, Teacher Li," Chen Jincheng replied imdiately.
anwhile, Li Suwan was heading back to the school with Principal Huang. She was still in her dance outfit and needed to change.

In the car, Chen Jincheng put his phone down and smiled.
