Even so, it could still wield its four giant blades vigorously, forcing them back.
The third Champion swung the thunder hamr, attempting another strike.
But this ti, he advanced too aggressively.
Seeing the Insect Nest Overlord already in a sorry state, he tried to take advantage and deliver a killing blow, but a tail sting ca much faster than expected.

Leroux glared with anger, took a step forward, crossing the distance he had been forced back, and with an overhead slash of the Sacred Sword, he directly cut off the tail that hadn’t yet been withdrawn.
A large amount of blood spurted from the severed section as the Insect Nest Overlord roared and attempted to launch a counterattack against Leroux.

With one arm cut off, the Insect Nest Overlord’s combat strength decreased again.
Though it turned to face the Black Cross Champion with one blade and used two blades against Leroux, not giving the humans another chance to circle around to its back, it was evident that its montum had faded, no longer as formidable as before.
At this rate, Leroux had a good chance of finding an opportunity to either slay it with a single sword strike or sever another arm, both favorable outcos.
However, without warning, Leroux suddenly felt a strong sense of danger!
He abruptly abandoned the attack, suddenly retreating, only to see the ground where he had stood suddenly collapse, and a snake insect burst forth.
If he hadn’t evaded, it would have been a dire situation.
But a single snake insect was not much of a threat.
The mont it erged, it was shot dead by a precise sniper explosive shot from afar.
The snake insect counts as an elite force of the insect swarm, but in the current level of battle, a creature that can be shot dead with long-range weaponry is simply not enough to make an impact.
However, it doesn’t matter; the snake insect was rely a tunnel digger.
Following it closely, the Executioner Tyrant, which jumped out, was the pivotal character.
This creature is considered a top-tier organism in the Insect Hive Army— within conventional limits.
It’s on a similar level to the Insect Nest Overlord, the main difference being that the Insect Nest Overlord is a warrior commander, while the Executioner Tyrant is a specialized, agile version of a top tier hunter.
Its frontal combat ability is sowhat inferior to the Insect Nest Overlord, but it is more agile, faster, more insidious, with a set of stealth, ambush characteristics, and preferences.
Truth be told, you really couldn’t easily determine which is more terrifying in battle.
This Executioner Tyrant pounced at Leroux in a frenzy.
The incoming force was indeed formidable, but Leroux was a top-tier master, not a common champion.
Within three to five exchanges, the Executioner Tyrant was slain by the Sacred Sword.
Yet, its purpose had already been achieved.
Leroux, more or less, was held back for a mont.
After he resolved the obstacle, he saw that the Insect Nest Overlord was actually running away!
The cunning Insect Nest Overlord wasn’t about fighting to the death.
Seeing things were disadvantageous, it opted to retreat without any psychological burden.
Furthermore, if possible, it might even leap back into the hatchery.
Taking not a long ti, the wounds and severed limbs could be urgently repaired.
By then, all efforts would be wasted.
Not only did Leroux realize this, but the other Black Cross Champion did as well.
He rushed forward, attempting to intercept.
But just as Leroux had slain that Executioner Tyrant, the Insect Nest Overlord also slaughtered that Black Cross Champion.
