Victor’s pride didn’t allow him to retreat; the Cormo Sword seed to sense its master’s resolve, and the black gem on its hilt, which devoured starlight, suddenly lit up with countless malicious runes. A screech that pierced through the soul dinsion exploded within the gem, not a sound but a direct negation of the essence of existence.
