"Bravo!!!"
Fang Cheng was the first to react, shouting out loudly from the audience and clapping vigorously.
Beside him, Wen Xin was even more excited, jumping up and clapping her tiny hands red, shouting loudly:
"Sister, you’re amazing!!"
Then, it was like a fuse had been lit.
"Whoosh——"
Applause arose from all sides and quickly gathered into a deafening wave.
Many passionate audience mbers even stood up, whistling and cheering.
They didn’t know this girl nad Zhou Xiui, they were simply conquered by the emotional impact of the song just sung.
In the judges’ seats, Cheng Jiashu was the first to raise his hands to clap.
The other two experienced musicians, who had been sowhat reserved, exchanged a glance and saw the astonishnt in each other’s eyes, then also clapped with force.
The atmosphere in the control area of the broadcast hall beca instantly busy.
"Quick! Switch to cara two, get a close-up of her face! Capture that look in her eyes!"
"The cara crane should zoom in, sweep the panorama, I want footage of the audience standing and applauding!"
The chief director shouted orders into the earpiece whilst staring fixedly at the monitor showing Zhou Xiui.
In their line of work, they have sharper eyes than anyone else.
Most contestants in this audition were just here for fun, just to get so airti would be nice.
But this girl in front of them was different.
"These looks, this voice’s uniqueness, and the natural narrative quality... absolutely a raw gem!"
The director rubbed his hands excitedly, already starting to plan the follow-up promo sche in his mind.
Just a little packaging, a bit of hype around the "talented but fragile young girl" persona, this will absolutely be the next big hit in ratings!
"Contestant."
During the feedback segnt, Cheng Jiashu picked up the microphone, leaned forward, with rare sincerity in his tone:
"Your voice is very special, having a natural fragility, like transparent glass."
"But at the high notes in the chorus, your handling of the transition point was extrely smooth, bursting forth with an astonishing strength."
"This contrast is very gripping. At that mont, I even forgot this was just an audition, thinking it was a concert of so friend in front of tens of thousands of people."
At this point, he paused, staring intensely at Zhou Xiui:
"Did you write this song ’Until the End of the World’?"
Holding the microphone, Zhou Xiui shyly glanced at a corner in the audience, honestly said:
"No, a friend of mine composed it, he gave it to , encouraged to join this competition."
Following her gaze, Cheng Jiashu thoughtfully looked at the tall figure in the crowd, a broader smile appearing:
"Your friend is very talented. And you, have given perfect life to this song."
Saying this, he decisively raised his green "Approved" card.
"Wow."
The female host holding a microphone excitedly chid in:
"Judge Cheng Jiashu has given Zhou Xiui high praise."
Then, the veteran producer with black-rimd glasses on the left also picked up the microphone:
"My opinion is the sa as Teacher Cheng. The music industry today is flooded with voices that are just showing off skills, but Zhou Xiui contestant, your voice is as pure as an unpolluted spring, full of emotion, striking directly at the heart."
"In today’s mask-wearing and restless market, such singers who dare to analyze themselves and sing with soul are rare."
"I give you my approval, and if possible, I’d be very willing to be your ntor."
He said, smiling as he raised his card.
The music critic on the right followed suit:
"This song’s lyrics and lody have great depth, an average young singer wouldn’t handle it, it would easily sound pretentious and empty. But you supported it with the most sincere emotion."
"I also give you my approval."
The third card was raised.
"Unbelievable, it’s full approval!
The female host’s voice rose again, filled with irresistible excitent:
"This is the first contestant since the opening of today’s audition to receive full approval from all three judges!!"
"According to the special rules of this competition, full approval ans Zhou Xiui can skip the semifinals and directly enter the national finals! Let’s congratulate her!!"
Just as the words fell, the applause surged once more like a wave, even more fervent than before.
"Thank you... thank you, teachers, thank you everyone!"
Zhou Xiui accepted the golden pass card symbolizing honor from the etiquette lady, her fingers trembling slightly.
With tears in her eyes, she bowed deeply to the audience.
Then, amidst applause and flashing cara lights, she hugged her guitar, her steps light as a fawn, running off the stage.
As soon as she dashed into the crowd in the waiting area, a small figure rushed towards her.
"Sister! You’re the champion! You’re a superstar!"
Wen Xin clung to Zhou Xiui’s waist like a koala, rubbing her cheek against her clothes, shouting excitedly.
Zhou Xiui was afraid the guitar might bump into Wen Xin, she hurriedly protected the guitar with one hand and hugged the little girl with the other.
She opened her mouth to say sothing, but her lips trembled uncontrollably.
Tears finally couldn’t be held back any longer.
This was both excitent and a kind of release after surviving the ordeal.
Fang Cheng stood aside, watching Zhou Xiui cry her heart out, smilingly reaching out his hand, gently rubbing her head, the gesture soft and doting:
"Xiui, you sang really well, that’s your true strength."
As he spoke, he then took out a tissue from his pocket and handed it over:
