Li Chengjun’s pupils shrank, knowing he had fallen into a trap.
The elderly man opposite, according to the information, should be Feng Kehai, one of the stronger elders in the True Thought Society.
"Are you the envoy from the Noah Organization? So young, it seems that girl didn’t lie to us..."
Feng Kehai curiously examined his hitherto hidden enemy, muttering to himself.
Hearing this, Li Chengjun slightly startled, then calmly replied:
"Our numbers and strength are comparable, any conflict would be uncertain in outco. Perhaps we could sit down and discuss a cooperation to salvage the sea’s treasures together."
"Cooperation?"
Feng Kehai scoffed, "What right do you have to talk to about cooperation?"
As he spoke, several True Thought Society mbers behind him suddenly emitted low whistling sounds from their mouths.
As the noise spread outwards, the rough sea surface began churning even more violently.
The sound of waves being split open followed.
It seed as if sothing was swiftly approaching the fishing boat from all directions.
Suddenly, several dark figures burst out of the water, bringing splashes with them as they jumped onto the deck.
These half-human, half-fish beings with their dark green bodies were unmistakably the rfolk known to roam the seas.
They stared with their unsettling fishy eyes, continuously emitting sharp screeches.
There were dozens of them, surrounding Li Chengjun and his group, brandishing their claws.
"The realm of the True Thought Society isn’t just limited to land; the ocean is equally our territory."
Seeing the situation under control, Feng Kehai couldn’t help but sowhat proudly exclaim:
"With these Pure Bloods as our ears and eyes, your every move on the sea is like a turtle in shallow water, fully exposed."
Li Chengjun watched several True Thought Society mbers making strange noises with their mouths, seemingly communicating with the rfolk.
He frowned tightly, muttering under his breath:
"Damn, such crucial information was not conveyed to ..."
Feng Kehai, with a keen ear, imdiately retorted coldly:
"Are you talking about that traitor, Chen Hui?"
Li Chengjun did not answer, instead his lips curled into a barely noticeable smile.
His drooped right hand stealthily signaled behind him.
The ten Pursuer Team mbers wearing breathing apparatus imdiately understood and softly opened the valves on their tanks.
A hissing sound burst forth.
The connected spray tubes instantly ejected a stream of pale yellow gas with a pungent stench.
The gas was sprayed around by the Pursuer Team mbers holding the tubes.
Feng Kehai’s complexion changed, realizing sothing was amiss, and he imdiately shouted:
"Close your breath, kill them imdiately!"
Several True Thought Society mbers quickly commanded the rfolk to attack.
However, the smoke took effect incredibly rapidly, seemingly having a potent dizzying and vomiting effect.
The rfolk barely moved a few steps before feeling light-headed and queasy from just a sniff.
So, like drunkards, staggered and began to retch imdiately.
Others emitted sharp screeches, hastily jumping back into the sea.
Even Feng Kehai felt slightly nauseous and seeing the rfolk scatter, he too thought of escaping.
But Li Chengjun snorted coldly, his eyes shining bright as he fixed his gaze on him.
Under the Supergravity Field’s effect, Feng Kehai felt his body stiffen, unable to move.
As he struggled to escape, several cold gun muzzles pressed against his eyes, mouth, and temples.
In an instant, the situation had completely reversed.
"Good thing I also have the habit of keeping a trick up my sleeve."
With a faint smile on his face, Li Chengjun approached Feng Kehai and politely asked:
"Shall we discuss the matter of cooperation now?"
"Heh."
Feng Kehai disdainfully responded, "Didn’t that traitor, Chen Hui, tell you? As long as you show yourselves on Yong’an Island once, you’ll forever be unable to escape the tracking of the Truth Stele."
"The Chairman will arrive here shortly to rid us of you rats!"
"Is that so? You might try contacting him then."
Seeing Li Chengjun’s expression remain calm.
Feng Kehai paused, then closed his eyes to ditate, shortly after which his complexion drastically changed.
