Even the dagger disappeared into thin air.
There were only a few bullets left in the rifle, which were soon spent.
The surrounding darkness returned, so silent it was suffocating.
Yet Fang Cheng could clearly feel the danger still lurking like a shadow, hiding in so unseen corner, waiting to strike.
Suddenly, a chill ca over his shoulder, accompanied by a faint tingling sensation.
His clothes were torn, revealing a fine dark red line of blood seeping from his exposed muscle.
Fang Cheng glanced at it, his heart involuntarily tightened.
This dagger could so easily cut through the tough combat suit fabric and leave a wound on him, its sharpness was extraordinary.
At this mont, a voice eerily sounded:
"Your reactions are quite fast."
The voice was cold, eerie, with a hint of mockery.
It echoed in the deathly still workshop, as if a ghost were speaking.
Fang Cheng imdiately heightened his spirit to the extre, activating Eagle Eye Vision, his gaze like a torch sweeping towards the source of the voice.
Attempting to root out the impostor hiding in the darkness.
However, apart from the pitch-black silhouettes of various chanical devices, he found nothing unusual inside the workshop.
The opponent clearly possessed so extrely special ability.
Perhaps integrating their body into the background lightwave refraction, achieving optical invisibility.
And, like Fang Cheng, they could suppress their breathing, heartbeat, and even eliminate footsteps and scent molecules when moving.
That’s why they seed so elusive, making it difficult for Fang Cheng to detect their true presence.
Earlier, the reason he was able to beco alert just in ti at the mont the opponent launched a surprise attack without warning.
Was entirely due to his Spirit Attribute exceeding 40 points, triggering a sixth sense against danger.
The voice paused briefly, then continued:
"If this is all you can do, I’m afraid you won’t be able to harm ."
Fang Cheng snorted coldly and replied, "Is that so? You can try again."
"Oh, do you have so hidden, lethal move?"
The voice was mocking, clearly indifferent to Fang Cheng’s words.
Fang Cheng’s eyes were sharp, tightly locking onto the direction from which the voice ca, he said:
"You’re the commander of this team, aren’t you? Since I could kill all your n, dealing with you is naturally not a problem."
The owner of that voice was Shadow, who had been watching in the monitoring room earlier.
He then gave a cold laugh, but wasn’t angered by it, instead asked in a deep voice:
"Dare to go against our organization, who exactly are you? Surely not just so nobody?"
Fang Cheng’s lips curled with a slight disdain:
"The things your organization has done are abominable, deserving the wrath of heaven and extermination by all. As for who I am, you don’t need to know, because today you won’t escape."
The two exchanged trash talk, seemingly both waiting for sothing.
At this mont, Fang Cheng cald his mind, expanding his sensory perception to the extre, intending to lock onto the enemy’s trace.
After waiting a mont, Shadow, seeing Fang Cheng still lively as ever, couldn’t help but say:
"Next, my attack will be more intense, hope your skills are as firm as your words.
As he finished speaking, the voice vanished, and the whole person seed to completely fade into the darkness, like a drop rging into ink, leaving no trace.
Fang Cheng only felt a strong aura of danger surrounding him, as if an invisible hand was slowly closing around his throat.
This ti, the opponent’s dagger was also invisible, the threat hidden in the darkness as elusive as a ghost.
But Fang Cheng suddenly raised his eyes, staring intently in a certain direction.
Though the opponent could mask their scent, heartbeat, and breathing, it was challenging to conceal all the sounds of their movents.
With that in mind, his gaze beca sharper, like a hawk locking onto its prey.
The surrounding air seed to emit a nearly imperceptible ripple, like a string lightly plucked, producing waves of ripples.
