The phone rang a few tis, then was picked up.

"Jiashu."

A robust voice ca through the receiver, slightly surprised:

"What wind brought you here today? Has everything been well lately?"

"Still okay, what about you?"

Cheng Jiashu’s face showed no expression and his voice maintained calm and composure.

They exchanged a few pleasantries.

Cheng Jiashu candidly revealed his purpose:

"Uncle, I’ve run into so trouble and I’d like your help to investigate an organization called ’Noah’."

There was silence on the other end for a few seconds, then slowly spoken:

"Noah? How did you get involved with them? This organization... they aren’t easy to deal with."

"I know."

Cheng Jiashu’s voice remained unruffled, repeating his request:

"I need to know about their origin and all the bases and key mbers of this organization in East Capital by noon tomorrow."

Another short silence ensued, seemingly weighing the pros and cons.

"Jiashu, it’s not that your uncle doesn’t want to help you."

The voice on the other end sounded slightly troubled:

"This sort of thing, our Shen Family can’t interfere too much. You know, our family is doing proper business now, so we need to be mindful of our reputation, and we haven’t had much contact with those underworld people for a long ti."

Cheng Jiashu’s gaze grew colder, recognizing the evasion from the other side.

"Uncle."

His voice suddenly heightened a bit, carrying a hint of firmness:

"This matter is very important to , it concerns the lives of many innocent people."

"If you can help , I’ll rember this favor, Cheng Jiashu will. In the future, if there’s anything you need for, I will not refuse."

He deliberately emphasized "Cheng Jiashu," a reminder to the other party that he wasn’t the easily manipulated orphan he once was.

There was another longer silence on the other end.

Cheng Jiashu patiently waited.

He was certain the other party was calculating whether this "deal" was worth it.

Finally, the voice in the phone sounded again, with a more solemn tone:

"Alright, Jiashu, since you’ve said so, your uncle will put it all down and help you out."

"However, the information might not be too comprehensive, after all, the Noah Organization operates very secretively, even the Special Search Team can’t fully track their movents, I can only do my best."

"Thank you, Uncle."

Cheng Jiashu’s tone softened a bit.

"Take care of yourself."

The other party advised, then quickly hung up the phone.

Cheng Jiashu put down the phone, his face expressionless, only his eyes growing colder.

He knew that hoping for these so-called relatives to genuinely help was nothing but wishful thinking.

Their agreent was rely an interest in his newly awakened Special Ability and the promise of future repaynt.

But no matter what, as long as he could get specific information about the Noah Organization, he didn’t mind the pretenses.

The room was deathly silent, only the "tick-tock" of the wall clock echoing quietly.

Sounding particularly clear, and especially piercing.

Cheng Jiashu buried his face deep into his palms, his shoulders trembling slightly.

Seemingly suppressing inner swelling murderous intent, and a hint of indescribable... fear.

..................

On the other side of the city, at "Midnight Forest" nightclub.

Deafening electronic dance music like raging waves crashed into each person’s eardrums.

Under the flickering laser light, countless young bodies twisted madly with the beat, unleashing excess hormones.

In the air, a strong scent of alcohol, perfu, and hormones mixed.

Xu Hao was hugging a hot-bodied, scantily-clad young girl, swaying freely in the crowded dance floor.

The girl’s body was soft and elastic, closely sticking to him, her rosy lips nearly touching his ear.

"Brother Hao, I fancy that latest handbag, tomorrow is the weekend without classes, can you take to buy it?"

The woman’s voice carried flirtatious charms, full of playful pleading.

Just as Xu Hao felt himself lting completely into this dream-like indulgence.

"Xu Hao!"

A voice intimately familiar, like a thunder out of nowhere, suddenly bood deep in his mind.

Overwhelming all the surrounding harsh dance music and clamor.

Xu Hao’s entire body froze, the smile on his face instantly stiffening.

He abruptly pushed away the babe coyly asking him for gifts.

The strength so great that the girl staggered a few steps, nearly falling.

Which drew a low muttered curse of dissatisfaction from her:

"Damn, crazy..."

Xu Hao couldn’t care less at this mont, he parted the crowd, nervously heading to the second floor quickly.

Entering the relatively quiet lounge, locking the door behind him, Xu Hao warily scanned around.

Then lowering his voice, almost talking to himself, speaking to the air:

"Boss? Is that you? Where are you?"

"I’m not at the club, at ho."

The voice again clearly resonated in his mind.

Xu Hao’s eyes widened suddenly, his face revealing a ghost-like expression.

"Damn! Boss, what kind of Kung Fu is this? Is it the telepathy in martial arts novels?!"

Too excited, his voice couldn’t help but elevate, shouting imdiately.

"Keep it down, don’t speak out loud, just silently think about what you want to say to in your mind."

Fang Cheng imdiately issued a reminder, instructing him on what to do.

Xu Hao paused, imdiately covering his mouth, subconsciously complying.
