In front of the entrance plaza of the Noah Building.
Ah Fei and Ah Bao were dressed in brand new security uniforms, leaning against the edge of a flower bed, looking like they were lazily sunbathing.
Ah Fei yawned, rubbed his eyes, and complained to Ah Bao beside him:
"Damn, this job is even more exhausting than guarding the place before. We have to keep watching all the ti; my eyes are going blurry."
"Quit whining, keep your eyes peeled!"
Ah Bao lowered his voice, his eyes warily scanning the crowd getting off the bus:
"Xiao Shuai is the Crown Prince, the future Leader of our Red Tiger Gang. If we ss up what he instructed, we won’t even get the chance to kiss up, and we’ll both be kicked out."
"Hehe, don’t worry, we are the famous Three-Handed Thieves in the underworld. Slipping a note is a piece of cake."
Ah Fei smirked, full of confidence.
Their appearance and deanor were indistinguishable from the real security guards at the building entrance.
Laziness tinged with a bit of professional vigilance, perfectly blending into the environnt.
Just then, Cui Xiuying’s figure appeared.
She was dressed in a tasteful white skirt suit today, holding a black leather bag, her expression as cold as ever.
Walking among the crowd, yet it seed as if she was separated from everything around by an invisible barrier, in a world of her own.
Ah Fei and Ah Bao exchanged a glance, instantly understanding each other.
Ah Fei stood up straight first, stretched, as if to move around a bit, and took a couple of steps in the direction Cui Xiuying was coming from, seemingly unintentionally.
As Cui Xiuying walked up the steps and passed by him at that mont.
Ah Fei "accidentally" tripped, his body staggered, just bumping into Cui Xiuying’s shoulder.
"Ouch!"
He exclaid dramatically, almost tumbling down the steps, acting as if it were the most lifelike.
The collision caused Cui Xiuying to sway, and the briefcase in her hand flew out.
Swift as lightning, Ah Bao, who had been beside her, dashed forward and deftly caught the bag in mid-air, preventing it from hitting the ground.
The whole process happened in seconds, like just another ordinary street bump.
"I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Miss, are you alright?"
Ah Fei imdiately steadied himself, repeatedly apologizing with a face full of regret.
Ah Bao held the briefcase with both hands, respectfully returning it to Cui Xiuying, a professional smile on his face:
"Miss, your bag."
Cui Xiuying’s eyebrows slightly furrowed, her aloof gaze swept over the two, as if trying to discern sothing.
But all she saw were two ordinary security guards appearing anxious and apologetic.
She did not speak, rely reached out to take the briefcase and checked it.
After confirming nothing was missing, she nodded slightly and quickly walked into the building.
From start to finish, it seed she never realized that at the mont Ah Bao returned the bag to her.
An extrely small folded note had silently slipped into the compartnt holding the access card on the side of the bag with just a slight move of his thumb.
Watching Cui Xiuying’s figure disappear behind the revolving doors, Ah Fei and Ah Bao exchanged glances and saw the relief in each other’s eyes.
Ah Bao imdiately turned around, his back to the caras at the building entrance, raised his hand pretending to adjust his collar.
In reality, he was speaking into the tiny microphone hidden in his collar, saying sothing in a voice no one else could hear:
"Xiao Shuai, it’s done!"
