The lounge was silent.
Only a few people’s heavy breathing intermingled.
"Mr. Chen."
Fang Cheng stared at the emotionally charged man in front of him for a long ti before slowly opening his mouth:
"Before answering this question, I would like you to honestly tell , do you have a very important secret, hidden from us?"
"Secret?"
Chen Xu’an’s body stiffened almost imperceptibly, the excitent on his face instantly replaced by bewildernt.
He awkwardly smiled:
"No, why would I deliberately hide important information?"
"I can’t wait for you to quickly find the murderer, calm this storm, and restore the Chen family’s forr tranquility."
"Mr. Chen, a wise man doesn’t speak in riddles."
Lin Chuqiao also stepped forward, her voice cool:
"Since we chose to ask you face to face, it ans we have enough evidence."
"Now everyone should be open and honest, so we can solve the crisis the Chen family faces faster."
"If you still think about covering up, if a misunderstanding causes clues to be cut off, not only will it delay the capture of the murderer, but ultimately the Chen family’s troubles won’t be resolved, and friction will inevitably arise between us. At that ti, no one will look good."
Her words were gentle yet carried an implicit threat.
The atmosphere in the room suddenly beca tense.
Pan Wendi slightly moved his wrist, the joint made a light "crack" sound.
Bai Ling also puffed up her cheeks, her big eyes fixed tightly on Chen Xu’an.
However, Chen Xu’an just hung his head, his fringe covering his eyes, only seeing his Adam’s apple repeatedly rolling.

These words struck the other’s heart like a heavy hamr.
Chen Xu’an stared at Fang Cheng for a long ti, his breathing becoming rapid.

He seed to have made up his mind and said in a deep voice:

Upon hearing this, Bai Ling imdiately clenched her little fists protectively to her chest and leaned closer to Fang Cheng.
Pan Wendi, on the other hand, lent his shoulder slightly forward, adopting a posture as if ready to act at any mont.
Lin Chuqiao also tensed her body, her eyes vigilantly watching Chen Xu’an.
Fang Cheng remained standing calmly, but his muscles beneath his clothes were already poised like a rock.
As soon as the other showed the slightest movent, he could unleash a thunderous attack.
Chen Xu’an seed not to sense their hostility and slowly said:

"Could it be...you suspect I’m the murderer?"
"Xiao Chen."
Pan Wendi shrugged and bluntly said:
"It’s not that we want to suspect you, but your previous behavior was indeed suspicious."
"Indeed."
Chen Xu’an froze montarily, then shook his head with a bitter smile:
"If I were to investigate this case, I would also target the Chen family’s second son, this good-for-nothing who benefits the most, as the primary suspect."
He sighed, raising a hand to rub his brows.
"My talent isn’t high, I can’t compare to my elder brother grood to be the heir from a young age, nor my younger brother born clever and good at pleasing grandmother."

"I never imagined, even in my dreams, that so many things would happen later..."

He murmured as if confiding the distress in his heart.
The previously elegant and refined deanor of the noble family scion had vanished, replaced by a deep fatigue.
Fang Cheng and Lin Chuqiao exchanged glances.
Chen Xu’an’s display completely took them by surprise.
