After calming down for a while, Ksitigarbha gratefully spoke to Lu Ren.
"Thank you, benefactor, you are truly a great person. A good man will surely have eight sons in the future and produce relics upon cremation! As the green hills don’t change, the green waters flow forever; we shall et again if destined!"
After saying these words, Ksitigarbha turned to leave. Just after taking two steps, his skeleton halted, turning back his hollow eye sockets to look at Lu Ren.

"You wish to attain nirvana?"
Ksitigarbha nodded, "Certainly, crossing the Sea of Suffering is difficult; this life is unbearable. Only in the next life is there a possibility."
"Don’t you not believe in the next life?"
"Of course not, I only wish to disperse my Qi back to heaven and earth. Perhaps a child may accept it and thus comprehend latent wisdom."

Lu Ren sneered, "Isn’t that considered possession?"

Ksitigarbha was clearly skeptical, looking as if he didn’t believe Lu Ren at all.

Lu Ren was also quite skeptical, given that modern science had not delved deeply into the research of the soul, not even having basic foundational theories. If people from the Buddhist and Taoist lineages learned about Ksitigarbha, it might drive them mad.
